I have an older dog that throughout the years has destroyed at least a hundred squeak toys. He loves the squeak but we don’t so I thought I would give this toy a try. Our dog’s been chewing on this tough little guy for a few weeks already and other than some fuzzy nap being slightly flattened it’s holding up GREAT! The unfortunate thing about most plush dog toys is they last about a nanosecond. Our pup (20 lbs) usually gets through the exterior and down to the stuffing fairly quickly. I love goDOG plushies! We have a 5 year old Jack Russell super chewer and these are the ONLY plush toys that last more than a single day with her. The good thing about this toy is that it has a squeaker that is silent to humans but the dog can hear it. My dog immediately loved the toy and couldn’t stop playing with it. The problem is that it’s made out of typical stuffed animal materials, meaning that the dog ripped it open within 15 minutes and I ended up with a mess of stuffing and monkey parts all over the place. Was curious on weather the silent squeak really worked. No way we can hear it,so I tried several ways with my French Bulldog. First I put it behind my back and squeezed it. No reaction. Then I tried a toy with a squeaker and put it behind my back and he noticed it. Then I gave him a toy and tried getting his attention with the silent one. No reaction. My dog truly love this elephant toy. She plays with it nearly everyday. As she is a bit rough with her toys, I am very pleased with how well this stuffed toy elephant has held up with her. I was skeptical about the silent squeeker but it really does work. You can squeeze it in another room and while all I hear is air rushing through the toy my dog comes running. Well she decided to jump on the table and grab the toy package and all. She has loved on that baby and wont let anyone else play with it. It reminds me of a troll but for dogs. We have other dogs but they are on the bigger side. She is really tiny and it is just big enough for her. I love that the squeaker is silent especially when one is trying to sleep and she is playing with it. She takes it to bed with her, it has become her sleeping baby, her loving baby, and her im aggravated with everyone baby. I know if she could give a review she would especially a raving review. Our 5 month old poodle ripped the cover on this toy in less than 20 minutes. Kong says that certain dogs need special toys. I disagree in that there has been NO toy that has been destroyed so easy. As others have said, there has been no problem with other similar toys and this one is simply poorly designed. My pit Ruby can kill a tennis ball in a bite and loves too but it makes fetch more of a single throw event. I found this Kong version and it was a winner. Just oversized enough, being more mini football then actual tennis ball, and made with thicker kong materials, she hasnt popped it yet. She wants to rip the Kong logo off so bad but its to well part of the ball so shes slowly defuzzing it in the hopes that it will help (it wont). I am super happy with this toy. My cocker spaniel loves squeaky toys but always destroys the squeaker part within 5 minutes. She has had this toy for nearly a month and it is all still in one piece! The Squeaker is hidden under the fabric so she can't get her teeth in it, and we haven't had any issue with her pulling the fluff off like others have mentioned. Took less than 10 minutes for my dog to pull the yellow covering off. When I called Kong, they told me, "It's not a chew toy." What, they think dogs hold toys in their paws to play? Beware, most Kong toys are now labelled "Not a chew toy" which means they are not guaranteed against your dog damaging them with his mouth. The "Kong" name means nothing in terms of quality or guarantee anymore. They sent me coupons for what they said the value of the toy was, which was not nearly what the store charged, when we went to use them, we were told that they were not actual coupons, we had to buy the toy, submit the receipt and the "coupons" in to Kong, who would then mail us a rebate. My 60 pound dog LOVED the purple elephant! But within two chewing sessions of about a half-hour each, she had the plastic inside parts ripped out and was chewing them up. I've sewed up the elephant and my dog will get to chew/nuzzle it and carry it around–with supervision. When it needs replacing, I'll give her one of the other two toys from the set–watching carefully, sewing and replacing as needed. Well, I want to say I love the product, but….the first 3 or 4 days were great. Our highly energetic schnauzer had a blast running to and fro with the elephant, shaking it all about and I assume hearing the squeaker. By day 5 the elephant was coming apart. Other than I can’t leave my dog unsupervised with the toy, I love it. It’s so cute. I can’t leave it unsupervised with him because he’d chew the ever loving snot out of it. This thing is built for wear and tear. It's soft fabric, but it's like it's got a built in chewable layer that prevents it from being destroyed in less than a minute. We've got three power chewers, and in over a week, they've only managed to chew through the string loop at the top. It squeaks and my dogs go crazy. Definitely a good buy! My dog (50lb border collie mix) loved this, but the seams split within 30 minutes. He's not a big chewer – the Bark! brand plush toys we've given him usually last about a month before he gets to the stuffing. I picked this up because the squeeker, while not silent, is much quieter, and the chew guard sounded good. I brought it home and let him play with it while I put away my other purchases. He'd already ripped the seams by the time I was done! I contacted the manufactorer for replacement. We'll see if they follow through.

These are the best toughest dog toys ever. We have two terriers 1 – parsons Russell that kills any toy in 5 seconds,and leaves the toy as a bag. We have had many of these ruff and tuff toys we still have a whole skunk left, but ears have had a bit of a bashing but the body still whole with stuffing and squeaky in tact, we do have others left with some parts damaged but others still whole but the sweeky a bit flat sounding,which is not a bad thing. We have bought these two new ones for our two for Christmas so I can put the old ones in the washing machine. I have a 15 pound dog- it has been impossible to find the perfect size ball. This one is just a bit too small – others have been too big,so at least this is something we can use. My small dogs (12 and 19 lbs) really seem to like these small balls by playology. They fit in their mouths easily and they seem to like the fact that they can also squeak them. They are easy for them to "catch on a bounce" because of the size.
