I purchased this Hide A Bee dog toy as part of a doggie Secret Santa exchange with a group of friends last Christmas. Specifically, I purchased it for a Jack Russell Terrier, who is a huge fan of any and all dog toys. I was a little worried that he may decide to chew the bee hive and bees to bits, without playing with it with the "hide and seek" function. Thankfully, the terrier's mom reported to me that he loves this toy, and plays with it often. She puts the little bees inside of the bee hive, and the terrier grabs the whole thing in his mouth and thrashes it around a bit, and then settles down and sits with it, using his paws and mouth to get each bee out of the bee hive. Simply adorable. The fabric quality is good, and he hasn't "killed" any of the bees, or ruined the bee hive, yet. Enthusiastically recommended, especially for small and medium dogs.

I purchased this for my gentle timid 20 pound dog. He was afraid of the other ball type treat toys I had for the other dogs but this one was perfect for him! He gently rolls it and treats come out encouraging him to keep at it. I like how it is adjustable with a screw in the center for different treat sizes or for making it more or less difficult. I pick it up and put it away when not in use because he does like to chew and I don't know how well it would hold up when I wasn't looking. I purchased the small which was purfect for his personality, and yet it is not so small that he could swallow it, but carry it if he wanted. Now that he feels more confident I might be able to buy him the medium but I don't think he could carry the medium for his size mouth. My dog loves this. I put about 2 cups of large dog kibble in the large toy. Takes him about 30 min to eat it all. But needs a river gasket pr a change in screw on design as he often unscrew it quickly if not frightened while playing. Also it os hard on furniture as it os a hard plastic and the purple bumpers are not rubber more like soft plastic and either need to be larger or softer . otherwise it often causes lots of banging on furniture. I love the basic design concept especially the egg shape and the rubber prongs holding the food in. The shape makes him have to move it more so the food cant just pour out. Also because some kibble is smaller it would be good to add more prongs that customers could snipe away to allow larger kibble through but of not small kibble will be contained longer. We received this toy as a Christmas gift for our dog and the first thing that caught out attention was the baby powder type smell coming from the toy. We tried washing the toy but the smell is embedded in the rubber and won't come out. My Chihuahua really put this to the test! He is very destructive and has torn up many of his toys. After many hours of intense chewing this toy is still intact. It has a very loud squeak and the he loves the sound now. At first it startled him a little bit but now it thrills him. The Hartz Bug Eyes toy is really cute. I received a yellow duck. My dog isn't used to toys that aren't stuffed animals, but she played with this duck okay. She is only 6 pounds, so she didn't have the bite necessary to make his eyes bug out, but she most certainly had the bite necessary to make it scream. 😉 It has a very loud squeal that she loved to hear over and over. 😉 The only issue I had with the Hartz Bug Eyes was the fact that I pulled the plastic tags out instead of cutting them, and they pulled the stuffing out through the holes. Our Husky is a major fan of toys. Unfortunately, she's drawn to squeaker toys but destroys them almost immediately. I've been very impressed with this Hartz Squekerz, as it's been 5 days since we received it, and it has 3 of the 4 squeakers still intact – a record for our Husky!! When this toy arrived my littlest dog stole it. We have 2 dogs and watching one for my daughter and all grab it now. Anything with a squeaker is usually Peanuts {ShihTzu} but this toy has 4 squeakers. Usually my dogs will Remove the Squeakers real fast but this toy still survives.. I have a medium sized dog that can destroy a stuffie as well as any big time chewer! This toy lasted longer than most. She went for the squeakers first and was able to remove them one at a time, which was expected. But after the squeakers were gone, the toy and its stuffing lasted quite some time.missa4845
