With my previous dog I used the HW protect. She didn't like the taste, and would not eat her food, if it was put in her food. So I bought a big bag of XL #3 EMPTY GELATIN CAPSULES online. I would fill the capsule with HW Protect, and put the filled gel capsule in raw ground turkey burger, then hand feed it, down the hatch. My current dog can smell it, and will suck the turkey off of the gel capsule and spit the capsule out on the floor. Trying to figure out how to fool her to get her to take it. My cat has been plagued with constipation issues for several years now. She'll be 10 this year. Working to avoid western medicine via homeopathic supplements. Been using PetAlive's Natural Moves successfully for several years. She needs 1 pill daily, not the 1/2 pill per "dosage" instructions. However Natural Moves is 'on back order' everywhere, including PetAlive's website. I purchased the ingredients, and working to figure out the ratios. Now I purchased Laxa-herb. My cat hates the taste in food, water, esp. by mouth. Since she's good with pills, I now put the drops in a veg cap for her. That works. I have given this to my 9 year old cat in a spoonful of wet food 3 x day for 2.5 weeks now. Cat has been suffering from allergies and autoimmune stuff more and more so as he gets older. The past 5 month has been a constant battle with rodent ulcers, biting his paws, overgrooming, and irritability. I switched him to all the special diets and have done months and months of trials of selected protein and hydrolyzed. Hairballs are the devil! My baby boy Buttons, was suffering tremendously. We took him to our vet on numerous ocassions where he was given very strong laxatives. This works great for our 16 year old tuxedo cat. She is still able to groom herself however she gets frequent hair balls and this helps her expel it. She also has scoliosis of the spine in which she is given meds to help alleviate her pain but causes constipation. Our previous vet started us on this and it works great especially if you use it either 2 hours after eating or 10 minutes before feeding. This is an excellent product with the best ingredients to heal (not just treat) intestinal lining problems. My girl has a bad case of IBS and was constantly crying and in horrible pain even after I put her on an organic home made diet. I bought the power version and for 3 weeks I mixed it in with her wet food as directed and did NOT do anything. Her 24×7 pain was excruciating for her and for me so I did not give up. After doing a lot of research, I realized that similar 'human' products for the same problems suppose to be given 30 minutes before meals. So, I diluted it in water and added a bit of sweat potato (for taste) and gave it to her, 30 minutes before her food, and IT WORKED! Like a miracle her pain was gone. For the first time after 3 months she was able to sleep peacefully. She is 11 lb so I give her 1/8 tsp of the powder and ¼ tsp of sweat potato (for taste) diluted in 1-2 tablespoons of water, 20 minutes before her meals, 3 times per day. I occasionally add this to my 13-year-old cat's food, or even administer a few drops directly into his mouth, when he's having tummy troubles. My Bichon has inflammatory bowel disease which has caused loose stools sometimes with blood. I tried changing her food, but she still had bouts of it. On 22 July 2017 my guinea pig was given a massive Vibravet doxycycline overdose that damaged his digestive system. This product helps the ‘good’ bacteria in his tummy to flourish and supports gut motility. I have a Westie who has a tricky tummy (which is a hallmark for the breed). I was told to introduce probiotics into her diet to help her. I tried a few different varieties, including a popular powder that I sprinkled onto her food. She's a picky eater and I think I threw more of that away than she ever got. Then I found this product. She chews the tablets up for me with no problem. I know she's getting what she needs. And her tummy has been much better. I am very pleased with this product and will continue to use it.Lisa

This product didn't work for my dog at all. It just changed the colour of her diarrhea. I think one of the problems is that the directions say to give to your dog every four hours. However, it's cherry flavoured, which my dog didn't find appetizing. My dog ate this willingly only twice. I've even dipped it meat juice & he will not eat it. If I crush it in his food he rejects the whole bowl. He is not picky at all. so these must taste pretty bad. They are very dry. no idea if they work or not, can't see results if he won't eat them. I can assume the ingredients are medicinal. I can't speak to quality, put if your pet won't eat it- there's the answer the quality doesn't matter. They would be easy to use if your pet likes them.iHerb Customer
