Because she had pneumonia before she came to us, it wasn't unforeseen that she was diagnosed with asthma. She coughed almost every day at some point. With a larger dog have a helper to keep the dog from backing away from the prick of the needle. I had 2 maltese shitzu dogs both aged 9 and a half years old (brother and sister) from the same litter. 3 years ago our little girl was diagnosed with cushings and enlarged heart. My cats were already having huge health improvements from the 'kidney support' drops so I looked into the 'lung support' for my 13 year old Cavalier with acute bronchitis. Adopted a black mouth cur from the shelter. Escape artist, separation anxiety to the maximum. I purchased the ThunderShirt for my dog's anxiety over fireworks. I tried to get my dog accustomed to it before putting it on her as the instructions stated but she ran away every time even when it was paired with treats and I was just holding it up. I recently adopted 2 retired greyhounds and noticed my female would hide and pant before and during rainstorms. I bought this because my dog was diagnosed with irreversible Chronic Bronchitis. First he was put on hydrocodone for his cough. The vet didn't feel that putting him on prednisone would be safe because of his age, 14, and other problems he has. I went online and discovered that an inhaler would not have the same side effects as prednisone. Then I came across the Aerodawg delivery system and the problem of how to deliver the Flovent to him was solved. He does not mind it at all. I got him used to the Aerodawg over a period of a week and then inserted the inhaler and gave him a dose. He was a little startled at first by the puff but he has since gotten over that. My dog, Sweet Pea, has been on prednisone for quite some time and I didn't want her on it anymore. So my vet suggested an inhaler. To administer the inhaler I needed AeroDawg. It's very easy to use. You put the inhaler in one end of the tube and the mask in the other end of the tube. To use it you put the mask over the dog's muzzle and then you express the inhaler into the tube, after you have shaken it up. You then watch the valve that shows when the dog is breathing and count the number of breathes, about 5 is what you want. And you're done. Sweet Pea doesn't mind it at all. My dog Dewy has been suffering from a horrible night-time cough due to chronic bronchitis for months. Neither of us had been getting sleep during this time. I had been giving him prednisone twice a day – hydocan pills every 3-4 hours – cough syrup every 4 hours – prozac at night to help him stay calm and sleep…NOTHING WAS WORKING. My vet suggested the Flovent which I purchased the AeroDawg for. My concern was that my dog would fight taking it – squirm away – and just make it impossible to get the medicine into his lungs. My dog is not the most co-operative with things like that – so I really did not feel like it would work – but of course I had to try it. After I got it I spent about 10-15 minutes introducing it to him with treats of course! That's all it took for him to be comfortable. I gave him his first "puff" and he amazingly sat still with me and took all of his breaths! I was SHOCKED and of course so thrilled. He has been taking his twice daily puffs for about 1 week now and I am thrilled to report he has been sleeping through the night!! I have not been giving him any of his other meds! SO – anyone out there with a dog with similar issues – PLEASE try the Flovent, or whatever inhalant your Vet suggests, and get the AeroDawg. I seriously felt this was my last ditch effort to find something that would get his cough under control. Of course it is the RX that has helped him, but without the AeroDawg I wouldn't be able to get the RX into his body! It is also very easy to use and clean. I have arthritis in my hands and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to hold my dog, hold the AeroDawg, press the inhaler..all at once with hands that don't work so well. My active Doberman is recovering from a spinal injury and needs to be confined. This pen is perfect. The quality is top-notch, with plenty of clear and illustrated instructions that are really not even necessary as it's so simple to set up. My one and only quibble is that the box opened nearly the full length of the side during shipping. I think the packing tape gave way. All parts were intact and nothing was damaged so just FYI. I'm now going to buy another one of these for the back yard. I was going to transport this one in and out rather than spend the money since it's (I'm hoping) not a life-long need, but while it's so easy to fold and move, it is pretty heavyweight (42") so it'd be a bit of a chore for me to do often. I like Midwest products as the metal seems to be stronger and last longer than other brands. I have the original ex-pen I bought around 1995 – it's survived 50+ large dogs. I prefer them to crates as the dogs have more room to move around, yet they are easily configured to a smaller shape when potty training. They easier to clean than crates. They fold flat and I can store them next to a fridge or behind a furnace. They work indoors/out and are great mobile containment. For dogs living in fenceless areas (condos) ex-pens can be linked using carabiners/bolt snaps (i.e., dog leash clips) for fencing moveable for mowing/snow removal. They are great for patio surrounds. You can buy metal tops for if a dog needs more containment, but most won't if using a tall enough ex-pen. I've also bought just the metal or plastic crate pans to put under the ex-pen if needed. To keep the ex-pen from falling or being moved if I have a rambunctious pup I bungee the corners to furniture or door knobs.HannahB

I ordered several of these to use as barriers to prevent my young Border Collie from running through the mud in our back yard after it rains. I set them up just off the patio several feet to allow him some space in the grass without giving him free reign of the whole yard to run through. They are very easy to set up, take down, and store! My dogs love this Chuck-It fetch ball. We had another one but it wasn't aerated like this one, so my littlest dog didn't enjoy fetch much. With the Chuck-It ball's aerated design, both my dogs LOVE playing and getting competitive. Works well for poop scooping without bending. I use plastic grocery bags to line. The materials are plastic but if you keep them clean and take care they should last a while. I like the way you snap the rake to the handle of the bin. I would recommend it. BTW, I have two smaller-sized Shih-Tzus and it combs through grass fine. This would be great for a normal sized dog but not for a Mastiff. The rake is made of flimsy plastic and don't see it lasting long. The "large size" bin doesn't hold up to a giant breed either. I really wanted some homeopathic remedies for our dogs, because we tend to stick to simple things. Samwise had kennel cough and we have 3 other dogs! I have had this since January of 2018, best purchase IMO, is it perfect? No, does it work really really well? Yes it does. Is it sometimes slow to lock onto your phone? Yes, easy fix as I turn the collar and receiver on prior to getting ready or when we get into the car, that way everything is good to go when its time to go. The longest it has taken to acquire and lock on to my phone had been around 5 minutes. I use this several (3-4) times and week and haven't had any issues with the collar prongs bothering my dogs neck or causing issues. This collar has tracked my husky as she ran off leash while out on hikes. It shows on our phones where she is, when she stops running, when she barks and what path she takes. It is neat to be able to watch the paths she takes when chasing the deer in the woods. It has tracked her over half a mile away. My only comment – which has more to do with my dog than the collar – is that the shocks don’t seem to phase her. I think her fur may be too thick.Dallas

My "little" guy has a life long issue with loud noises that began about eight years ago when he was eleven weeks old and we ventured out in between thunder showers with his mom and dad. Suddenly a stray lightning bolt hit missed us by only a few yards and the accompanying explosive noise terrified my three dogs and myself. The dogs went howling into the house and you can imagine the impact that experience had on a very young pup. I did everything I could think of to acclimate Yulee to sudden loud noises but nothing seemed to work as well as the ThunderShirt we purchased on the Amazon site. He's not as frightened of approaching thunder boomers as he is by gun fire or fireworks probably because he can gradually get into a more relaxed state with advancing storms. Now we also have time to prepare him for the thunder claps and we're relieved that he apparently finds the ThunderShirt comforting. He also likes to have time to curl up in secluded spot where he probably doesn't feel as exposed to any inherent danger – (see the third image). You can tell he's starting to feel threatened in the middle shot where his tail is tucked under his rear and the noise from today's thunderstorms is getting increasingly louder. The only reason the ThunderShirt didn't earn 5 stars from me is that at a svelte145 pounds Yulee was squeezed too much for our liking by the largest size (XXL) offered. We wrapped him in it without over tightening the material to make it uncomfortable while still affording him the gentle pressure and protective aspect of security. The fabric of the ThunderShirt Sport is a lightweight polyester which I felt might be lighter and more breathable than the other models with a poly, spandex and rayon blend. With all the fur this guy has he doesn't need any additional warmth. Cons: -Very Minor: Dog took a few minutes to warm up to this form of the ball, but it did not take more than 5 minutes for him to figure it out and he plays with this ball as he would his previous balls now without any hesitation. Our puppy is obsessed with tennis balls, but is also obsessed with eating the fuzz off of them. Sometimes, a new ball doesn't even last a day in our house, and leaves quite the mess. Another family at the dog park had one of these and our pup seemed to like it so we bought one ourselves. We don't let him have free access to it all the time because we're worried he would gnaw through it, but he gets it as a treat during play time and when we're outside playing fetch. Although he has almost chewed through one of the sides, it has lasted longer than I thought it might. He doesn't seem to love it as much as the fuzzy tennis balls, but he still enjoys it nonetheless. Our dog likes this ball – it is light enough for her to comfortably catch and the texture is right for her (not too hard or soft). Its bounce is just right for us and the breathability for us is a bonus. We have been using one for a while now and it is lasting, but our dog does not attempt to chew it apart.Steve

My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Comfy, stretchy and easy to wash and dry. It covered the area allowing healing . For toileting I just un-did the press studs and took her back legs out of the garment and rolled the Suitical back to her shoulders. Then when she had been to the toileting area I simply rolled it back and put her back legs through and did the garment up. It was similiar to a childs body suit. I can't praise this garment enough. Overnight was no problem as she slept in it as so comfy.Sue

I purchased the vest because our dog was being spayed and I knew she wouldn't handle the cone. As soon as she came home I put it on her. It has been the best thing I have bought for her. I'm so pleased with everything about the vest and couldn't recommend it highly encourage. I currently have two off your suitical recovery suits and highly recommend them to many friends. Not many companies cater for the larger doggies and the xxl fits my girl beautiful. She is a 84.5kg St Bernard. Had previous off on her side at start off year and here she is going for a post opp check up after being spayed last week.Kirsty S.
