Our Maltese is spoiled, I must admit….he has six other coats. I know that, in the Winter months, this will be the only one worn! Because of the warmth of this coat, he will no longer need to wear a sweater. Simply zip it up the back (so convenient) and utilize the rings for attaching the leash and out you go! I'm sure it will be more comfortable and warmer than wearing both a sweater and a light weight coat which doesn't provide much protection against the cold. Very well made interactive puppy that makes various noises & actions. My Mum loves Cheeky, as do the other residents in her care home. Cheeky creates interest wherever she goes, she is spoken to so much and she obliges by woofing back. My mother has dementia. She had a dog before needing full time care in a special home. She kept asking to have a dog but it wasn't practical or permitted in the facility. I got her the Joy For All puppy. It makes her smile. She talks to it and pets it. She named it "Noodles". Originally brought product because breeder had my German shorthaired puppy on it. She loved it for about 2 weeks and then refused to eat it. (Would literally starve herself instead of eating it.) originally thought something was wrong, put dog gravy over it and she devoured it. After trying many different "Premium" foods my boy Tucker was loosing weight. Ribs where showing past the last two (rule of thumb) and his points (hip joints) where beginning to show. Tucker is a 5.5 month old Black and Tan Coonhound . I scheduled a vet appointment for a week away. During that time I was listening to the Hunting Dog Podcast, Feeding Your Dogs/with Purina's Dr. Brian Zanghi. A light bulb went on and POOF, I thought "I'm taking it old school". After some research I went looking for Purina Puppy Chow Large Bread. Unfortunately it was a hunt as very few places have it on hand. It was worth the hunt however, within two days Tucker thickened up. After a week people at the dog park where asking me what i was doing differently. I told them. Of course some of them turned their nose up. But the sensible ones took notice that the proof is in the pudd'n. Thanks Purina. You got a fan for life and we are still on our first bag!sluggo

My dog is 9 years old and he has been eating Pedigree dry dog food all of his life. He absolutely loves the Pedigree Chicken, Rice vegetables dry food so I make sure to keep at least 2 extra large bags in my pantry. I trust the Pedigree brand because they always think about your animal first, providing good food that is good for their immune system, their coat and bones. I like this particular flavore with the chicken, rice and vegetables because I find that the rice in pets diet gives him the proper nutrients he needs. We started our two month old female standard poodle on Eukanuba chicken puppy and had mixed success. The dog food she was on at the breeder seemed quite successful but the vet recommended Eukanuba. Dog has never relished the food but will eat it mixed with a few tablespoons of canned food. Any other treats added to diet will cause diarrhea. On the plus side, she has grown appropriately and is not over or under weight. I have had trouble buying new bags. Lack of supply from Eukanuba says food store. I did get it delivered from on line source. Since our dog is thriving I give the food 3 stars, despite the problems.Food Connoisseur

My 4 month old King Charles Spaniel doesn't touch this dry food without Royal Canin wet puppy food mixed in it. She used to run to the bowl and finish the food in seconds, after I switched the dry food to this one, she smells it and then walks away. When she does eat it with the wet food I've noticed she's starting scratching and itching like she has fleas or a skin condition although she has been given Bravecto and the vet said her skin is fine so it must be the food. Now I don't know what to do with the 15-kilo bag we have here that we can't feed her.Elizabeth

Kibble was all over the inside of the box. Looks like the seams of the bag are held together by really weak glue and not tightly sealed. I won’t feed my dog compromised kibble. I ordered 3 – 15 lb bags of kibble the same day and just got to opening this shipment. Wanted to try out this brand. Contacted petco, but since it is over 30 days since purchasing, they could not replace the bag. Dog food is expensive. Petco couldn’t do anything. "Chelsey" is the newest addition to our family. My 8 year daughter absolutely loves this cute little plush dog. It is soft and cuddly and made really well. Our new little pup came complete with her own adoption papers as well. The removable diaper is a cute idea especially since my daughter is into dressing her new pup up. One day Chelsey will be a newborn the next day she is a teenage dog! She has been quite creative and has made clothes for her. I have a 3 y/o Border Collie and a 8 week old Border Collie. The 3 y/o has the worlds most sensitive stomach, he also has malabsorption syndrome, he was 35lbs when his actual weight should have been 44lbs. Three different vets have prescribed several different foods and they never helped, but ever since putting him on the puppy food for the higher calories to gain weight, he has gained 3lbs in just a few weeks, his energy level is higher and he loves the food! Been feeding my 7 months pup with this for the past 4 months and what a huge difference it made for her! Her coat and skin has been looking really good and healthy. I brought Buddy ( 4lb Schnoodle ) home at 8 weeks old. He should grow to 14 to 20 lbs.. The breeder sent food home with him. Buddy's appetite was off because of the stress of the change from home to home. We had used the adult Orijen before and had switched to something with some grains in it. I bought this for Buddy and his appetite returned, He makes sure the crumbs that fall from his mouth are eaten up before he gets another kibble. Feed him as it is, a little at a time, ends up kind of like free feeding a large amount but not the same because I think the food stays fresher if not left out for the day. I buy the larger bag and vacuum pack weekly amounts. Buddy will get this food through his growth time and then we will add some grains to his food to try and avoid the heart problems that may be associated with grain free feeding.SJCSR

I really like this food for the dogs. It was a whole like 10lb bag which I was shocked about. Definitely didn’t expect that, I was thinking a 5lb bag or something. Honestly, I don’t know that they cared too much about what they were being fed but they really seemed to like it. Smells like dog food, looks like dry dog food. Thought I would try this brand due to it high reviews. The package arrived in tact, fully sealed. Even when mixed with majority of prior puppy food she would not even try eat it, simply seemed to try to single out pieces of former food mixed in and dumping on floor to do so. I tried mixing it with a bit of peanut butter to get her to eat it as peanut butter is her favorite treat. Still will not eat. The expiration date has several months to go. Not sure what is going on. 2 days of trying different ways to intoduce but she would appear to rather not eat than eat this even when her last meal had been smaller of her former brand. Our great dane was 17mos when we brought him home. Slightly under weight, stressed from changing from his first home to his forever home. He could only eat a few measured cups a day. My little Morkie used to take Royal Canin Vet food (Gastrointestinal) recommended for his digestive sensitivity and pancreatitis episodes. He has never been fond of any dog food and even when he was on the vet recommended food, his digestion was still bad (vomitting every week and had small dark stools) For months he was on Royal Canin before I discovered Stella & Chewy’s. After allergy stress/trigger test, elimination diet, I decided to feed my rescue girl Stella & Chewy's Raw Coated Grass Fed Beef kibble. It fit the bill for a dog that is allergy reactive for so many ingredients. Plus+++ she doesn't turn her nose up at it. I'm retired and living on a strict budget and I find this product is affordable in that I'm feeding her a quality kibble that doesn't mess with her immune system. She was a very itchy doggo when we got her and I couldn't afford to take her to the vet once a month for her head shaking, scratching and scooting. FYI: I can’t figure out the difference between this and the small breed version, other than the size of the bag available. Maybe the kibble is slightly smaller for the small breed version, but not by much. Do yourself a favour and buy this one instead – unless you have a micro teacup dog. Also, my dog really likes the raw bits. She eats those first, and then settles on the rest of the kibble later in the day. I have no idea if this is good food or not. I was using small amounts of this as an easy way to supplement my dog’s diet while traveling. She is usually on a full fresh/frozen raw diet. This kibble, even a small amount mixed with freeze-died raw primal nuggets made her have loose poops. This has been our old dog's go to dog food for a long time. I love the ingredients and the fact that this particular one is a limited ingredient food. It has a good protein content for our old dog that has heart issues. I would say that it is important to find the amount that fits your dog's lifestyle and to not just go by the recommended feeding amounts. All in all, there are not too many cons to this food for us. I researched a lot of brands and this seemed to me to have the best balance and the ingredients are high quality. I definitely recommend PetFlow as a source too. I have a large pack of 7! 5 boxers, 1 pit/lab and now one French bulldog. My breeds have been susceptible to allergies and ear infections. Since changing to this food, the only alkaline food on the market not only have I been able to rid everyone of any itching, redness or break out I don't have any ear infections either! I have been using this brand about 5 years now and will never change. Their coats are shiny, they are a healthy weight, they have energy, but most of all they are free of anything that used to make them miserable. They also love the food. I tried this chicken recipe in the protein rotation for my Shih Tzu that's 17 months old but it constipated him pretty bad. He eats dry kibble regularly. I tried adding water to the kibble but he still was constipated. He's back on the duck kibble and his poop is back to normal. He ate the kibble with no problem but it just didn't agree with him. I found the kibble to be a big thick piece. The quality seems great and the smell was good. This recipe just wasn't for my puppy.Ewelina39

Absolute one of the best food I’ve ever come across! My dog is my son and I only want to feed him the best. He goes wild for this food. It keeps him nice and full even when we have a very energetic and eventful day. I love that they use such good sources of protein in their food. It’s also a great brand because they are holistic and have special recipe food so if your pet had special needs diet wise you can fine a food that fits their needs. I have a 6month old pure bred German shepherd, we have tried so many foods and so many different ways to feed him and get him to eat. The second and I mean the SECOND I put this food in front of him he loved it. He is not a good motivated dog, he is very picky and will sniff food and not even try it. I had been feeding my puppy another high quality brand of puppy food but was looking for something that would still be high quality, and nutritious for my dog as well all while saving a few dollars each time I had to purchase a bag of food for him. My puppy is a 9 month old German Shepard mix, he has lots of energy and has never turned down a brad of food to this date. Anyhow, like I said I was searching for a high quality food that would save me a couple of dollars each time I needed to restock on food for him. After going through several brands of food, I did come across this brand. I read the ingredients which seem really solid and impressed me, I also read the reviews for this product on petco.com and was even more impressed to only see 5 star reviews! Although this product was about $8 more a bag and 6lbs less a bag than what I was originally purchasing (Blue Buffalo) I decided to go ahead and give it a try. First test of course was the taste test, he seemed to not only enjoy the flavor of the product but loved it. Test passed with high honors! So of course when switching brands of foods you should do so over a course of time mixing the two products (old & new) and slowly phase out the old, I did this and had no problems with my dog switching over. He is always happy when it comes to meal time and is on such a perfect schedule he will remind me within 15 minutes of his feeding time both morning and night that it's time to eat again. My first concern for satisfaction of this product came when it was "business" time. The bowl movement would occur no problem, however it had about 70-75% of the solidness that he usually had. Thought okay, maybe because of the change give it a little time for body to completely adjust although we phased out the original food over a 5-6 day period. Then my next concern was I noticed that jar was starting to have more frequent bowl movements, he was up an extra one or two a day. Again thought to myself maybe his body is still adjusting and maybe this food is giving him a higher metabolism. My third concern is that his stool has gone from a fairly normal light to mid colored brown but now Ian showing a "pea green" color in addition. Ok, maybe it's an ingredient and it's just gonna be that color. Well it has now been almost 3 weeks since my 9 month old puppy has been eating this twice daily and there have been no positive changes. Stool is still too moist, has the funny green color in and to it, and he is having a bowl movement at least 4-5 times daily. This does not seem right to me (having owned dogs for over 30 years). So I have come to the conclusion I am not satisfied with this product like I was expecting. I would have given a 4 star review but I felt the additional deduction of a star was necessary to reflect the price. Like I stated it cost about $8 more a bag for 6lbs less than Blue Buffalo (the first star reflecting the stool consistency and frequency caused by this product). I do not want to say this is a bad product for dog fore my puppy is one of several and all other reviewers seem to be extremely satisfied, I myself am not. Maybe it is an ingredient that is in this product that was not in Blue Buffalo or who knows what, however I personally feel it's not the proper product for my puppy and will be taking the bag back to Petco today for an exchange.Dogs_R_Life

My little pup is a golden doodle and she looks this food! Prior we had her on a different brand which gave her an allergic reaction. This was one of the brands the vet had recommended so we gave it a try. The food is definitely pricey but worth it for my fur-daughter. A 18lb bag is around $40 and the 35lb is about $80. I googled Stella & Chewy online and discovered they have kibble. I had been looking for a good brand with a little higher protein for my senior (10) miniature poodle. I found that it was sold at Loyal Companion and that they had a great deal going on. I bought two bags of the Beef and ancient grains. I mixed a little in with my dog's regular kibble and noticed she started to eat with gusto. I left her and when I returned she had taken pieces of her regular kibble out of the bowl and was just eating the Stella & Chewy! I take that as a positive review!Kathleen C.

This is my furkids favorite food and when we moved 900 miles from the midwest to the east coast I couldn't find a store close the carried it. Checked out Chewy and they also didn't carry it. Before trying this food our pup would lay down and graze on his kibbles forEVER and was distracted by any scent of human food. This new diet has reduced his begging and at dinner time he is reminding me it’s time to eat. He’s excited about it every time and so am I. The wholesome proteins and quality ingredients make me feel good about the current and future health of my furry best friend. The only complaint I have is how strong the smell is. We keep our food in a plastic storage bin so it’s not so bad most of the time but when you go to open the lid for feeding time it will hit you in the face.Ashley10

You can tell by the smell of the food that it is high quality. Also, my Golden Retriever puppy flat out devoured it. We did try to follow the suggested guidelines on how to mix your old food and the new food, but our puppy actually preferred this brand and wanted nothing to do with the old food. The problem will be switching back to our old brand. And, we will have to switch – ONLY due to the fact that this food is so expensive. Now, if the manufacturer will send us some (greatly) discounted coupons since we've reviewed the product, we may consider switching as long as we can get a discount. But (and this is the only reason for a 4 star review) $110 for a 22.5 pound bag of kibble is waaay too expensive for my family to afford. It's worth it for those that can pay it though. You WILL NOT be disappointed with how this food is made and what it does for your dog. She was (even more) energetic. She picked up tricks a little quicker.
