I had gotten these and the other flavor. Man my huskies absolutely love them! They look legit like real beef jerky that humans eat so my dogs think they are getting a piece of my dinner when I give it to them. Each piece is about the size of a nail polish bottle. If you dog has small teeth or no teeth, then I dont suggest these for them. They can be hard to chew and dont really soften up after being wet. The dogs love them though. But, anyone who buys these religiously like us knows, when you get a fresh bag, the treats are bright red, flexible and smell good. When you get a dried out bag, they have lost their color, have almost white spots on them and practically break when bent. I have 2 mini dachshunds. One of them will eat anything, but my rescue is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to treats. He will typically sniff treats, and then give me that look like "really mom?" and then he would leave the treat there and walk away from them. but since I saw these over a year ago, these Chicken Grillers have been the ONLY treat he loves! So my little 5lb chihuahua loves these treats. He is very picky when it comes to treats, these are his absolute favorite. The last few times I have bought them, the smell is awful! These are one of my dogs favorites, she loves them enough to listen when we work on training. They have quite the strong smell but it makes it perfect for interactive feeders and/or snuffle mats. The only downside of these treats are the inconsistent batch consistencies. The bag I purchased before was very soft and chewy but the second 1 pound bag I purchased, the treats were harder which wasn't my favorite for my dog. Either way she loves them but prefers when they are softer. It's a bit pricey but don't mind because they make her happy, I do cut them in half since my dog swallows the treats more than she chews. My boy, Max, loved these treats! Though they were a little small for his medium size, and he is just past ten years old so I didn't use them for training per se, however they were the perfect distraction while he got his nails cut and paw fur trimmed. When I get him to focus on treats he's less likely to fuss. Also, he loved them as an "after dinner mint", minus the mint. He loves it when I flick them in his direction and he has to catch them. They were cute, tiny round bites, they weren't hard or too soft, not greasy and they didn't have any strong smell. I really liked seeing real beef as the number one ingredient and free of wheat, corn or soy. Another great thing about this brand are the many different flavors and great price. I hide them and they actually look for them and they play with it. I am so happy about these treats . The food is great too of course. We absolutely LOVE these treats! Meenie (aka "Puppy Girl") is 14 and she is the most pickiest eater we have ever had, but this she LOVES! She has always been slightly picky. However, after losing both of her "brothers" she got even pickier and would no longer eat the treats we gave all of them. We have also switched her to the Home Cooked Chicken Recipe for her breakfast and dinner. I swear it has given her more energy when she is awake. She is almost puppy-like again when she gets treats! I don’t know what this company puts in these treats to make them so appealing(just kidding, it’s the minimal naturally sourced ingredients), but i’ve never been so tempted to take a bite of a dog treat as i am when i smell these. They genuinely smell just like the real deal it’s mind blowing. My four dogs absolutely adore every treat i’ve gotten from this company. My sunshine loving fifteen year old pitty who typically has to be reluctantly lured back inside with a long trail of treats covered in peanut butter comes running like a young pup all the way across the yard the second i open the bag! I swear he doesn’t even do that for people chicken! I also have a miniature italian greyhound who doesn’t have any teeth. It’s so sad giving the other three treats and then having to resort to peanut butter over and over for Rigbee… until i came across these! Soft enough(tasty enough too, he’s a picky lil fella) for him to devour in seconds. Although the price is bit high in comparison to your typical dog food company, you really do get what you pay for and for my puppies id give anything to keep them happy and healthy.maggie334
