Blue Buffalo put our puppy in the vets because the vet said our puppy couldn't handle that formula and that he needed a well balanced diet. Was pups first type if hard/crunchy food. My pup loved it but we noticed he didn't get all the nutrition he needed. Wr bought powder to get him where he neededbto be. Had started with the shredded chicken flavor, but transitioned to the lamb when my puppy wasn’t enthusiastic about much beyond the shredded pieces in the chicken flavor. We started our two month old female standard poodle on Eukanuba chicken puppy and had mixed success. The dog food she was on at the breeder seemed quite successful but the vet recommended Eukanuba. Dog has never relished the food but will eat it mixed with a few tablespoons of canned food. Any other treats added to diet will cause diarrhea. On the plus side, she has grown appropriately and is not over or under weight. I have had trouble buying new bags. Lack of supply from Eukanuba says food store. My 4 month old King Charles Spaniel doesn't touch this dry food without Royal Canin wet puppy food mixed in it. She used to run to the bowl and finish the food in seconds, after I switched the dry food to this one, she smells it and then walks away. When she does eat it with the wet food I've noticed she's starting scratching and itching like she has fleas or a skin condition although she has been given Bravecto and the vet said her skin is fine so it must be the food. Kibble was all over the inside of the box. Looks like the seams of the bag are held together by really weak glue and not tightly sealed. I won’t feed my dog compromised kibble. I ordered 3 – 15 lb bags of kibble the same day and just got to opening this shipment. Wanted to try out this brand. We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. I have two rescues, who when they arrived on my doorstep, steeling the cat food, would eat anything. I've had them for four months, and they are no longer starving. The foods they ate before, they no longer will. If they can get the little paws on trash or people food, they go crazy. But I've tried three kinds of dry food, and two kinds of wet food, and they would rather go hungry. I even started feeding them cooked chicken, but I think it was too rich for them, as they stopped eating that, too. I stood in the aisle for a long time reading labels. Otis had good bowel movements after eating. Anecdotal feedback but it gave my two 6 lbs puppies really really soft poop immediately. On occasion is was diarrhea. Gave it about 8 days for them to get used to it – same for the entire period. Once I changed the food to something else their poop went to solid right after the next feeding.With that said they seemed to like the taste of it so if your pup has constipation this is not too bad I guess. My Yorkiepoo has a bit of a problem with constipation. At least twice over the years it's had him backed up enough that he required a trip to the vet and some meds to get his system moving. Since switching to this food (and keeping strict limits on table scraps and treats) his digestion's been great. Long enough, I want to say 2 ~ 3 years now, that if he does have any transient issues I'm confident his dry food is not to blame. And he's been in good health so I feel like he's getting the nutrition he needs. And the little bugger eats it. Not the foods fault but I will say I'm annoyed by the branding change from Focus. Not that I care about the name or picture on the bag, but when you find something good and don't want to change from it, such changes in packaging cause unneeded nuisance and stress. I actually use the lamb and rice so other than the protein everything else is the same I actually switched to it after the price of my dogs normal food got way to high. I definitely notice that her itchy skin is better her coat is shinier usually she will not eat plain dry dog food but because this has the boys dehydrated pieces of Liam edit she will eat it by itself which makes things a lot easier there are times that she does not want to eat it plain so I will moisten it with a little bit of water put it in the microwave for 12 seconds and she devours it. The thing I like about the small breed is the size of the kibble is perfect for her mouth size the price is quite good for what you get I definitely would recommend this my vet recommends this to all their clients my mother uses it for her schnauzer and we have not had any negative experiences I’ve been using this for a few years the only problem I have Kayla cross is that my local pet stores even though they are a big chain store have trouble keeping it in I don’t know if that’s due to popularity or because of shipping problems due to the pandemic we just went throughlaura.k

We are very active in the ring and eventing almost constantly at times going from one event to the next. Our fuzzy babies are beyond spoiled and are unfortunately very selective when it comes to kibble size. We have tried every size of kibble multiple times because the other isn't available and they will only eat the toy size. We have tried everything from breaking the larger kibble up to wetting it stirring it up to small pieces and drying it out, they will not eat it. We tried explaining to them that there is a pic of a Cavalier on the next size up but they don't care, Cavaliers are a toy breed and should have toy size kibble. They will dive into the toy size kibble and make it disappear as we pour it into their dishes. They truly love ProPlan Toy breed kibble. The reason they only got 4 stars is A BIG PROBLEM – availability. For some dumb reason the Toy size kibble isn't available in any pet store we have visited in MI, GA, FL, etc. (on the AKC circuit) What am I suppose to do when the only kibble our Cavalier pack will eat isn't carried in any stores. They only carry the next size up, which they won't eat. The second BIG PROBLEM is it only comes in a tiny bag! We have asked and asked to NO AVAIL (reps, stores,specialty stores, online stores). Appearantly toy size dogs aren't suppose to eat much kibble! The only other dogfood our dogs will eat is homemade fresh, that's it. Doesn't matter if it's in a pouch, can, tube. They will eat Toy ProPlan kibble. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make the Toy (Cavalier true size) ProPlan kibble available in a 20 or 25 lb bag for those of us who have larger toy breed dogs and may have more than one. Every 4 days we have to get another bag tiny bag of Toy Kibble. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, bad marketing, and bad customer service. I did not read Purina's own reviews, instead I concentrated on others. My poodle loved the Small Breed Petite Races Chicken and Rice, but beginning in around Feb 2022, she started to not love eating. I bought this food 2 weeks ago because my dog has been picky about her food for months now. I have tried Hills Science, Purina Pro, Blue Buffalo – all puppy dry food. I think she really doesn’t like the chicken taste so I thought I’d try something different. From the start when I was phasing out the old food with the new she was way more interested in eating. She also stopped biting her arms which I thought was due to a seasonal allergy but now think it was actually a food allergy. I’m really satisfied with the food! I wish someone would make small sample bags of pet food to allow owners of pets to know if their pet will like it or not before wasting money purchasing several different kinds trying to please fussy pants pets! Or maybe have a tasting station with small bowls of pet food set up for the pet to try in the store! I’m sure this food is great for a starving dog, but my baby would like to share my dinner plate, thank you very much … and I don’t feed him from my dinner plate! My husband keeps telling me he will eat if he gets hungry enough … but I’m a mommy! Mommies feed husbands, children, and critters! We’ve been feeding Taste of the Wild Appalachian for small dogs for about a year now after switching to about 10 different brands. He loves it. The kibble is small, and the food is palatable and healthy. I wish the small kibble was available in fish and sweet potato too, but this has some fish in it. It’s a great choice in food for a very picky little dog. Now if he would only stop chewing his feet. This is new and been going on for about a year or so. Thenpre packaged portions was perfect for her and was given one package a day along with her hard food and she was always asking for more! My little lady weighs 11lbs and she is will nibble on food all day along except when I would put a plate down with the PURINA BENEFUL INCREDIBITES 12-COUNT SMALL WET DOG food then she would finish the whole dish!!! I personally liked the differeflavor options for her because she was able to have a different flavor each day! I really like these but they are kind of pricey. My dog eats them right up but I wish they sold more of them in the one box. I usually buy the box of 12 but you can buy these individually as well. There good for on the go or travel too. I used to buy the little cans when my dog was a lot smaller but then switched to these because the portion is bigger. They’re easy to serve and have a good amount of food in them. My dog gets so happy when she sees me about to serve her this. It looks much better than some other brands out there that look like blended mush. This product has squares of meat and the veggies are visible. I pair with their dry food and feed this every other day. I leave the dry food available at all times. You can mix together or serve separately whatever your doggy prefers. I googled Stella & Chewy online and discovered they have kibble. I had been looking for a good brand with a little higher protein for my senior (10) miniature poodle. I found that it was sold at Loyal Companion and that they had a great deal going on. I bought two bags of the Beef and ancient grains.
