Small Dog Invisible Fence Wireless For Sale (2024 Update)

If anyone has ever owned a husky or even know about the breed they are escape artist. My yard I thought was husky proof…apparently not. We used chicken wire around the fence so she couldn’t climb the fence, we put chicken wire in the ground so if she dug she’d hit that and we had done other things to the yard. Anyway long story short one day her and my sister dog got out of the yard and this was one of our last resorts. At first I was really frustrated with the product and upset that my husky would run out of the barrier and not care about the shock. I spent time training her where she was allowed to go and where she wasn’t. My sisters dog was easy to train, she got shocked once and knew not to go past It. FINALLY after months my husky stays where she’s supposed to and doesn’t go outside of It. They dogs still have 80% of the yard to run and play in. I have a pretty big back yard. Depending on your dog is might be the best option for you to keep your pet safe inside your yard. I still do not trust the fence 100% just because I know how my dog is.jacqueline.t

I've loved the fence since we got in it April but over the last couple weeks the collar and transmitter haven't seem to be communicating right. There's been no change to location and collar is always charged. Dog has been seen outside of normal boundary (which he doesn't breach). Upon bringing him back and checking the boundary again with him the collar on doesn't beep or give any indication the boundary has been breached. I've tried removing and walking the boundary holding it at dog level and it worked, put it back on dog bring him to the boundary and he walks right through with nothing. Try it again then all of a sudden it works. I don't have any idea what the heck is going on but it's confusing to my dog and it teaching him that sometimes he can breach the boundary with no consequences.Bburgess

I checked your product in a pet store yesterday and thought that the receivers for the collars were very large and clumsy. Do you make smaller receivers for small dogs. I have a pup that is a large breed, he looks like I been feeding him steak and potatoes cause he's so dang big. He is ALL puppy though. Chews on everything loves running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Been trying to train him to chill with me, yeah, right. He wants to play. And because he wants to play, he wants to run every stinkin where. Decided, for my sanity as well as his safety, I'd get this thing. Put the flags out, set it on a low static charge, and it didn't take long before he figured it out. You DO have to WORK a dog with this. It's not just a plug it up and watch their hair shoot up when they get popped. Walked him around the perimeter for 7 days, he sees and sniffs the flags. After that, I let him run around, and he got popped maybe 3 times, and figured it out. Now he's pretty dang happy, and I can let him rip around with zoomies while I work in the yard. I have a 2 yr old LARGE French Mastiff that weighs 180ish! I bought with the (red in color) “stubborn” collar. We previously installed a wired underground fence. (Which I have to mention took 2 FULL DAYS TO INSTALL AND READY TO USE!!) My Bo would realize he was close to the boundary, take a step or two back then take a run right through it, with no second thought!!! We watched him do this several times. I guess he was thinking, well this is going to hurt but only for a few short seconds. Idk?? But it did NOT phase him one bit! I had talked to 4 or 5 people that had this system, so reluctantly I decided to give it a try. I thought to myself well if it doesn’t work I will simply return it, no harm no foul. My boyfriend had it installed and collar on Bo in 30 mins flat. We walked ole hard-headed Bo around maybe 4 times to show him the boundaries. Once he heard the beeping, he kept walking then he felt the shock 1 time and that must have been enough because he never ventured close again! It has been about 2 months of use and I would give it 100 STARS IF IT WAS AN OPTION! We live in a subdivision where houses are fairly close. I was ultimately worried that the zone would lead into the neighboring yard. (which was the #1 thing we are trying to prevent) And although it may, Bo doesn’t even attempt to go that far. I believe he now understands to stay in his own yard! Living in a subdivision, many people take walks and Bo just sits and watches them now!! Matter of fact, just to see, we have sent him outside WITHOUT the collar and ironically enough HE STAYS IN OUR YARD!! The ONLY complaint I have is the small clear piece on the collar broke off the first time I went to adjust the strength of the shock. So far it hasn’t effected anything so fingers crossed on that! Just an FYI, we set ours on a level 3 to begin with and my boyfriend was ready to give up, so I told him to have some patience and we just kept adjusting the level on the collar and we ended up discovering for Bo he needed to be set on a #6. I have been using the premiere Pet for quite some time and it is truly an amazing quick fast action Wireless fence to help keep my three dogs in the yard without going over the boundaries. I love how it was very easy to install to use very easy instruction booklet love the circular boundary that covers up to about a half an acre, I love that the system itself is portable, this thing takes less than an hour to set up. My dogs were trained instantaneously from the first use. The flags and on the caller has a very low beeping sound and it really truly makes the dog not leave out of that boundaries and if the dog does then the beeping will continue to do it with the shocking until the dog comes back into its boundary area which is awesome. It’s very easy to set up, use, and it works great. This package comes with everything you need to get started. The instructions on how to setup and use the transmitter, collar, and how to train your pet are very straightforward and easy to understand. The Transmitter needs to be set up indoors, 2 feet above the ground, and not close to any metal objects. Once you determine a good location that fits the criteria you can plug it in and test it, it says it’s possible that it may have to be moved multiple times to ensure you’ve got a good location but I didn’t have any issues picking a spot. It comes with a power adapter that you plug into the wall. Then you flip the power switch on, and it’s ready to go. You can select the boundary area that works best for you by a dial on the front of the unit. This fence allows you to go up to 90 feet, which is really nice, especially since you can take this fence on the go and use in different locations. Setting up the collar is easy. First you choose which contact points you need based on your pet’s hair length or thickness. You can easily swap out the contacts with a key that comes with the unit. This Premier fence is great for helping teach dogs boundaries. This system is for dogs at least 8 pounds AND 6 months. The setup took us about an hour and a half,however when we were testing certain areas around the house lost the signal This was due to our aluminum siding.We adjusted the perimeter so we had no interference. The kit comes with everything you need to start training. We spent about two weeks training our pup to be sure she understood what it was all about the flags are a good visual for her to know she is getting close to the danger zone LOL! She noticed the beep and ignored it once she felt static she knew that was as far as she was going. We have not had to raise the static level above 2 and my husband and I both shocked each other with it and it's more of a startle than shock so I don't worry that it is hurting our pup. Only took 2-3 sessions and 2 mild static corrections to have my frisky Doberman trained! She loves to bolt into the woods at the first sign of this stray cat and nothing has been able to prevent it until now. I even let her out without the collar and she stays in the designated area. I heard that the battery dies quickly on the collar so when she is not outside, I take the battery out of the collar to lengthen the battery life. We put it on our boxer to try it out because he is older than our German Shepherd. One day is all it took for my escape artist to stay in the yard. We now know that our fur-babies are safe in thier own area, Sure beats running home several times a day to round them up. Very easy to install, took us about 4 hours from start to finish. We did not bury the wire (one is a digger) but put it into PVC around the yard. It protects the wire from lawnmowers, weed eaters and digging. The wite PVC also serves as a reminder to the dogs that it is the line in the sand to not cross. It was easy to put the wire around a herb garden to keep themy from jumping on it, My big guy will bolt to the corner of the yard but hits the brakes hard within five feet of the line. I set up the white flags around the yard so they will know where to stop. The directions were easy to understand and online had pictures to give us ideas and how tho set off areas. We just moved out of a condo and into a house where we now have our own backyard. Our new backyard isn't fenced in and a fence really isn't in the budget right now so they was a great money saving solution for our dog. I have a three year old Jack Russel Terrier Chihuahua mix, and a two year old Miniature pincher Pomeranian mix. As you can imagine these boys are none stop energy, and as stubborn as they get! Burying the fence.) but they always found a way out. We installed this fence 3 days ago in about 2 hours and have already introduced the dogs to it. Our gsd is already steering well clear of it. Our pit on the other hand is being more stubborn about it his color is is set at max and he is still trying to run through tho he bring himself back inside the barrier very fast once he crosses it. I have a miniature Daschund and I have found that she quickly learned the boundaries almost to the point of being gunshy of going out into the yard. Probably my fault. The other system zapped her a few times and, now I'm going to have to back off and work into it more slowly. We had a problem of her running off and paying absolutely no attention what so ever to our calls, scolding or going after her. Very frustrating, and dangerous to her going across the street not to mention also my wife and I get very tired having to go after her!!!!! At this point with only the audio she will NOT cross the boundary wire! Good for us and safer for her! Right now she has a problem with going out in the yard but, in time and as we work with her I'm sure she will regain her confidence. The system was fairly easy to install, took me about a day to do it right. Toughest part I had was going across the 24ft driveway, several years ago I put caulking in the expansion joints and it was pretty tough to clean it out. Had to go about 6" at a time. I did mine above ground and, I did opt for 14ga wire, the 20ga that came with the system was way to flimsy. My choice because I like to do things thoroughly with no problems when I'm done. Used almost 500ft of wire and about 160 yard Staples. Barely visible and I can mow over it with no problem. I think this system will do the job for what it is intended to do and way less expensive than having a fence put up. I didn't want to fence in my whole property at all. Just going to have to work more with the dog and, after awhile I'm sure she will feel at ease with going out in the yard. My wife and I will not have to worry about her running off and being injured when we are outside working or relaxing in our patio or deck. Pet Safe is what it means and what it will provide. My review is on the Basic In-Ground Fence System by Pet Safe. This in ground fence system worked great for our little dog. The directions are well written and easy to follow. They offer several options for installation, in ground, above ground, with a fence, and around your garden and the trees. They are thorough and easy to follow. After installing the unit, I tested it following the instructions, and everything was working. There are 5 levels of electric stimulus. The collars are fully adjustable for the shock level, and the controller adjusts the distance the collar starts to activate. The collar has a separate adjustment for the level of shock; 1-5. The wall controller adjusts the width of the zone, 2' wide to 10' wide. If your collar is one level 1 (low) and the width is at 10 (maximum), your dog will not get a shock, only a low level beep. You have to adjust the collar to 5 (high) to train the dog the first time. One or two zaps and the dog will learn to associate the warning beep with the zap. Then you adjust the shock level down to 2 or 3 for most dogs. I have read that dogs need a visual barrier, they won't remember the wire is buried, once they associate the visual barrier with the electric fence, they know it is there. I would recommend this in ground fence for your dogs to be able to run around the yard.Rose28

This took my husband and I about a couple of evenings to install. You bury the lead wire around the perimeter you don't want your fur baby to cross and the collar is light and works nicely! I have a jack Russel/Chihuahua that likes to snoop and sneak out of the yard and this little device has solved that problem. I only needed to use the tone mode and that worked fabulously. I bought an additional collar for my blue heeler. She is a bit more strong willed and faster, so static mode worked for her. I'm thankful for this! I installed this fence for my dog on a town lot that was around .25 acres. I must say you should definitely read the instructions fully before just starting this installation as you have to do some prep work, and this is not simply a plug and play fence if you want to trench it in. I think if there was an existing fence or something you could probably get away with just hanging the boundary wires directly to it but chances are that is not the case always. In my case I used a spade to kinda make the trench on my laid-out boundary line. I did this after a heavy rain as that made the task by hand much easier than the ground being rock hard like it is when it is dry. I stepped on the ground with my body weight after the installing the wire to kind of tamp the ground back in place and let mother nature do the rest over time to get the ground to settle. I did have to cross my driveway and really just shoved the wire in the expansion joint and shoved it down as far as I could. I just have to be conscience that I do not pierce the wiring when doing my edging. For my lot it took quite a bit of the 500 feet of included wire even though I consider it to be a pretty small lot. My dog has used wireless electric collars before so the training was not so difficult, but I did put out the included flags on the boundary line during training to make sure the boundary training went smoothly. The collar fit my dog nicely. As far as hooking up the boundary lines to the transmitter it was easy. I installed the plug-in wall unit in my garage and actually drilled a hole through a brick wall to get the boundary wire outside. I used caulk to seal off the hole with the wire to protect the weather and critters getting into my garage through the access hole. As I mentioned that since I have used wireless systems with my dog before the training was minimal and the system is working nicely.Country Man

We do not have a fence in our backyard and have to constantly leave our Poodle on a 30 foot leash when she runs around backyard. But I hate that she is even on a leash and can't run and live free. This fence is a perfect solution since we can not afford to install a proper yard fence. We set up the boundaries and it was easy to follow directions. I purchased the cat collar since she is a 8lb poodle this collar is much more soft and less bulky for her to wear daily. This product will shock your animal inside! We have a 6 pound chihuahua who is now utterly confused. The collar picked up on the housing wiring and went off repeatedly before we could figure out what was going on. It went through the test phase totally fine, and so I proceeded to bury 500 feet of wire, only for it not to work. My review is on the Basic In-Ground Fence System by Pet Safe. This in ground fence system worked great for our little dog. The directions are well written and easy to follow. They offer several options for installation, in ground, above ground, with a fence, and around your garden and the trees. They are thorough and easy to follow. After installing the unit, I tested it following the instructions, and everything was working. There are 5 levels of electric stimulus. The collars are fully adjustable for the shock level, and the controller adjusts the distance the collar starts to activate. The collar has a separate adjustment for the level of shock; 1-5. The wall controller adjusts the width of the zone, 2' wide to 10' wide. If your collar is one level 1 (low) and the width is at 10 (maximum), your dog will not get a shock, only a low level beep. You have to adjust the collar to 5 (high) to train the dog the first time. One or two zaps and the dog will learn to associate the warning beep with the zap. Then you adjust the shock level down to 2 or 3 for most dogs. I have read that dogs need a visual barrier, they won't remember the wire is buried, once they associate the visual barrier with the electric fence, they know it is there. I would recommend this in ground fence for your dogs to be able to run around the yard.Rose28

I bought this for my Great Pyrenees, I have had sooo many issues with the collars. Either not holding the charge, turning off randomly or the shocking feature just not working. My dog will never learn to stay around and the boundary without the collar because it’s in their nature as a breed, so without it he would be running all around. I still check on him often because I do not totally trust the system to not fail. I try to have it on the largest setting for him to have ample space- but the hills of my yard, and the metal roof mess with it constantly. Some days he has a nice size area, other days he walks right past the house and gets beeped. It’s okay- I am hoping for our next house it won’t need to be used. With all the issues I’ve had with the collars- thankfully I was under my warranty so I got replacements, it’s not worth the price, and even though it’s working fine right now- it’s still not worth the price since it doesn’t give him the freedom I hoped for since the land and the roof seem to get in its way, per customer service.Martin16

This product works! It does shock my dog when he gets too far out of range, which is great. My only qualm so far is that the range on my system seems to fluctuate. I walked the perimeter a few times for the initial setup and placed flags down based on when I heard the beeping from the collar, but when my dog wears it, he can go another 10-20 yards before finally getting shocked, while I was getting shocked just outside where I placed the flags. Also, the beeping sound on my collar is probably loud enough for my dog to hear while he’s wearing it, but it is too quiet for me to hear while we are walking in the dried leaves with the wind blowing through the trees, and this has made training very difficult. It would be really helpful if the system came with a remote option so that I could have the collar beep or shock exactly when/where I want it to (e.g., when he’s getting very close to the flags and if he continues to walk beyond them) I know this would seem to defeat the purpose of training to the system, but I do think that training would go a lot faster bc I’d have more control in getting him to understand that when the collar beeps, he just needs to pull in a little closer to home. The system just doesn’t cause the collar to start beeping at a consistent radius, and since I can’t hear the beeping, I’m not giving him the immediate feedback he needs in order to understand how to react to that beep. I know this review definitely reads like it is a negative experience, but I will say that when my dog does get shocked, he doesn’t run away, so it works in that regard.Call

My back yard is partially fenced in. We got a new puppy auggie back in February, we named him Tatoe cuz he just looked like a little potato and I like potatoes haha. He has high energy and hates being on a leash of any sort. We tried one of those 30' lines so he could stay outside while we're at work but he hated it, yelped all day, and would get tangled up, poor little guy. My neighbor had complained about his yelping. We've had such a problem with him staying in the yard. He'd dart out the back door and wonder the neighborhood. It was so exhausting chasing him down every time. We contemplated for months to put up a fence. That was going to cost us around $1500 and that was just for the one side of the yard with the treeline "fence." I noticed one day when I was chasing him down that a neighbor's dog was sitting in the front yard watching and not attacking him (that was a big dog). I thought it was odd the dog wasn't running off the property after Tatoe. I saw the collar and it clicked… "I bet that is one of those invisible fences or something." I saw this one and was so excited! We were going to order it online but then I saw it at our local pet store. I love buying local and having it in hand right then. It was so easy to figure out and set up. The instructions said it'd take about a week or so to train the average dog. I set the boundary to 50', set the collar on 3, and put it on Tatoe that night. He takes off outside and hits the boundary. It starts beeping and then I hear him yelping. I see him running to me from the neighbor's back yard. That's seriously all it took. When I went out with him the next day he was very cautious when walking around the yard. At the very first beep he immediately flipped around and came back. I am amazed at how great this is! I'm sure all my neighbors are so much happier now that he's not pooping in their yards or yapping all day. This is the best! I am thankful for it every day. I don't worry about Tatoe outside anymore. It's so worth every dollar!DStewy
