We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. I recently changed my dog over from a purina food that shes been on fir many years to Hills science diet Age defying dry dog food. I folliwed my vets instructions and slowly weaned my dog over. We went threw the first 2 bags with now problem. By the time we got 3 bags in she was eating just the Hills Science Diet. When i purchased and first opened bag #3 to feed my dog she sid not eat rite away. This is Highly unlike my pup who normally gobbles all down in seconds. Eventually though, she ate the food and i didnt think much more. In the next 24 hours soft stool started. This continued for 2 days befor turning ti bloody stool. An abrubt visit to the vet uncovered no real answer other than obvious vissous diarrhea. They reccomended a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken and perscribed and anti-inflammatory/anti diarrghea medication and reccomended possible emergency vet visit if not improved in the coming days. I took my do off the Hills food and instantly she seemed to improove. After finihing the medication from the vet they reccomended slowly weaning off the chicken &rice back onto her normal diet. So i added a small bit if the Hills bag of food that we had (bag #3) and back came the issue. Back to the vet, more test…no conclusion. Stoped and went back to chicken and rice and Improvement again! Finially decided ti go back and get a bag if our old purina dog food and stated trying to wean from chicken and rice to this dry dog food….success! Vet concluded all signs lead to this bag of Hills Science diet was the ussue…..you must recall!!!!save your animals people!! DDONT FEED

After receiving some coupons in our newspaper, I decided to purchase Beneful to see if one of my older dogs would have less digestion problems. Logan loves every flavor that Beneful makes! He especially loves his veggies, barley, and rice. These items are very imprtant to Logan's health because they keep him regular. Like older adults, older dogs need dietary items that are good and good for them. Logan likes the Beneful dry also, but he does better on Beneful Wet foods. 🐕🐩🐶🍖🐾 I have a little pomeranian that is very picky! He's a much older dog who has cataracts and isn't very active. He was a rescue dog when I got him he already had all his ailments. I really like that this food is mostly soft even though it is considered dry dog food. I also like that you could see the vegetables in the food as well! when buying dog food, I always look at the ingredient list. first item should always be the main ingredient as advertised on the bag. so for this instance, this should have chicken or beef as the first few ingredients. not corn. this will definitely be useful for treats and training commands, as they gobbled it right up! though I'd definitely recommend a different product for daily meals. in terms of likeability, they loved it. The breeder we purchased our Shih Tzu puppy from uses only Royal Canin products for their dogs and puppies. We were sent home with a Royal Canin Puppy Kit which contained a small bag of Mini Puppy food, a can of Puppy in Gel Appetite Stimulation starter food, and a food guide. Since our puppy was familiar with the Royal Canin Mini Puppy food, we did not want to change. When our puppy arrived to our home he was a bit stressed from leaving his litter mates and his mom. The long drive home to his new home added to the stress, as well, and his appetite decreased. For the first few days, we added the Royal Canin Puppy in Gel Appetite Stimulator food to the Mini Puppy food to maintain his eating routine. Within the few days, he was back on track with his eating schedule once again and back to simply eating the Mini Puppy food. He recently received his rabies shot and wasn't feeling up to par. He had an upset tummy and wasn't eating well. Our vet suggested to give him something he "could not resist" to stimulate his appetite. Therefore, we made the choice to try the Puppy Healthy Development dog food and add it to his Mini Puppy food. He immediately took to it, and his appetite returned. He really enjoyed the extra treat in his food! We were happy that we had a variety of choices to turn to within the Royal Canin line of puppy food to stimulate his eating just in case we were unsuccessful with the Healthy Development food. I purchased this dog food because my breeder recommended it, but after reading the ingredients label, I returned it. The first ingredient is rice which is a dog filler and considered bad. The second ingredient is chicken by-product meal which is a nice name for slaughterhouse waste which is all the organs that a human won't eat because they are disgusting. I love my dog and could not even think of feeding them this food. This dog food is horrible and expensive! This is a good food for tiny puppers. It’s reasonably priced and pups love it. Nutritious as well. Follow the feeding guidelines. For under 10 lbs 1/3 cup morning and 1/3 cup evening plenty. I also supplement an egg at lunchtime or a bit of fresh pet and green beans or broccoli since mine love them. If you exceed the amount specified they will get fat. We are very satisfied with Fromm's – we started with puppy and have graduated to adult small breed and have nothing but positive things to say. He's a short haired and his coat still feels like when he was a puppy which I solely attribute to the quality ingredients in Fromm's. Fromm's isn't the cheapest but PetFlow has great prices and ships free if we order in larger quantities so we usually just do 30lb at a time (although if PF included Fromm's in the auto ship discount program then we'd definitely do it!). On a per meal basis it's not too expensive and probably doesn't hurt that he's 14lbs and doesn't eat a ton. We began using Fromms for large breeds dog food when we were switching from puppy food to dog food because our black lab, Kona, was having sever diarrhea every time she ate any food. We tried about a dozen other dog foods with no luck when my sister, who owns a Havenise that also experienced digestive issues recommended Fromms dog food. As soon as we switched to Fromms large breed dog food Kona's digestive issues went away. Not only did the food stop the diarrhea but Kona and Delilah, our chocolate lab, love the taste, not to mention every time we visit our vet she is amazed at how shiny our dogs coats are. I have 4 dogs – upon gaining my 4th as a baby, I wanted to switch him into something good as he had been eating Puppy Chow and I hated the way it smelled. After doing research regarding recalls, ingredients, and reading other reviews, I decided to try Whole Earth Farms grain free. I started with the puppy kibble and as he got bigger had to get him into the adult food – as he should. My other 3 are little dogs who had eaten Beneful their entire lives. While we’ve never had any problems with Beneful and they love it, I found them picking pieces from the puppy’s bowl like it was a treat. I slowly weened them all off of Beneful and were now a Whole Earth Farms family. They enjoy switching up the flavors with each new bag, but we still keep it grain free. My puppy’s sensitive belly has been tame and my little guys love it too. I’d I had to pick on something, I would say sometimes the different flavors are kind of “greasy” or have a weird smell to me. My wife and I have had our 8 year old Collie and 3 year old Lab on the beef and rice blend for about 9 months and they love it. We had tried at least 5 other brands before WEF and the only other brand that had worked for us was Honest Kitchen which is over 2x as expensive and has horrible stock issues. We've had no digestive issues, loss of interest, or other food related problems that we had battled previously. We've seen a huge turn around in our Collie's energy levels and you can't put a price on that. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. P.S. My only "issue" is with the recommended portions. My dogs both have leveled out at just over 85 lbs (exactly what our vet has wanted) with about 2 1/2 cups per day each. You just need to figure out what works for your dog. My dog is mainly on a home cooked diet. We have been giving her about 1-1 1/2 cups a day of the puppy recipe as added insurance that she receives all her nutrients. She has been eating this without a problem for about 8 years. Our supplier finally changed over to the new stuff a couple of months ago. Well, it took a while (it seems to be cummulative) but she has been severely constipated. We increased the fiber in her diet, we increased fluids, we started her on stool ease supplements, nothing works. So unfortunately, its time to discontinue this much loved kibble. I've known about IAMS for 30+ years and has been around since 1946, it's small sized food bits and ingredients is the best dry dog food I've given my puppies to go into for years. The 44lbs bag feeds my 4 large dogs 2 times a day of 2 cups and lasts me about 28 days. Visit the Rams website for information to help choose your IAMS food needs based on your breed and size of dog. FYI – for new puppies, feed them small amounts through out the day for the tummy to adjust to the food and work your way into a 2 times a day feeding of 1 cup and then graduate into 2 cups+ a day as they get to 1 years old. Keep them hydrated with clean water at all times.

It's hard to find a dry dog food that seems to satisfy our five year old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix and fill him up, so we have tried numerous different brands of kibble. I stumbled upon this one after purchasing the puppy formula of the same brand for our new chihuahua puppy. We have now been Iams food for both of them for nearly a year now. Our big dog loves this food, and we like it because it gives him all the vitamins and minerals he needs to keep him healthy. It is more expensive than other brands, but we don't mind paying a little more to feed our fur-babies because they are not just animals, but family. We get the 15-20 pound bag to feed our big dog. In the last 3-4 months the Shredded blend is horrible. There are no moist chicken pieces and is just dry kibble and my dogs will not eat it. I complained to the company where I order my food from telling them that they sent me the wrong product. They sent me another bag and there's still no chicken pieces. Please go back to the original version or you should not advertise this as having shredded chicken pieces in it.LMF44

I did not read Purina's own reviews, instead I concentrated on others. My poodle loved the Small Breed Petite Races Chicken and Rice, but beginning in around Feb 2022, she started to not love eating. We thought she was either ill or it was perhaps the rawhide bones or her new "trio" heartworm-flea-tick med. I recently read the Purina's own reviews and many say this food smells. My little Morkie used to take Royal Canin Vet food (Gastrointestinal) recommended for his digestive sensitivity and pancreatitis episodes. He has never been fond of any dog food and even when he was on the vet recommended food, his digestion was still bad (vomitting every week and had small dark stools) For months he was on Royal Canin before I discovered Stella & Chewy’s. After allergy stress/trigger test, elimination diet, I decided to feed my rescue girl Stella & Chewy's Raw Coated Grass Fed Beef kibble. It fit the bill for a dog that is allergy reactive for so many ingredients. Plus+++ she doesn't turn her nose up at it. I'm retired and living on a strict budget and I find this product is affordable in that I'm feeding her a quality kibble that doesn't mess with her immune system. I have a Chihuahua and she's almost 15 years old. Lately, she hasn't been interested in her dry dog food brand. Once I started using this product, she started eating as good as she use to.
