Best thing, since sliced bread ! Like many other people I hesitated a long time to make the purchase due to the cost and could have saved myself a lot of sleepless nights if I bought this sooner. My neighbour has a German Shepard and another big dog. Their favourite time (although not the only time) is to bark through the night in close proximity to our bedroom window. Both dogs are untrained and the owners don't care about the nuisance their dogs are causing. The German Shepard's barking improved within a day. The other dog is older and still barks, but less and now goes to the other side of their property where the barking is not causing such a nuisance. We have mounted the device on our TV antenna on top of our roof due to the neighbour's property being higher than ours and will raise it more, which may perhaps help sort out the barking on the other side of the house as well. When the dogs are out of reach of the bark pick-up zone, I simply push the remote, which works great from almost my whole house. The remote and I are now inseparable when I am home. So far this thing is a lifesaver. I WILL say, we live on a city block, where about 6 yards converge in one area, with lots of fences between. We mounted ours from a 2nd story-patio pointing down into an adjacent yard where two VERY territorial dogs reside in the backyard. The owners let them randomly run in and out for every little noise they year through the doggy-door to bark for HOURS. The device is quite sensitive, I have to keep it turned down almost as low as possible so it doesn't go off randomly (in audible mode), for every little sound it picks up. But it does go off for the dogs, and it does seem to work on them because they'll immediately whine after 3 barks and then circle the backyard before heading back indoors. We have some great neighbors who have several dogs, one or two of which bark far too much. After several years of enduring it I decided to try this Ultimate Bark Controller. I mounted it to our house about 10 feet above the ground and pointed directly into their yard. I turned the sensitivity to max and set it on audible so I could tell when it was being triggered. Almost immediately it began to have an affect. It didn’t stop the barking completely or all at once, but over time it has greatly reduced the amount of barking and especially the needless barking. I fed this to my older dog (now almost 11) for 4 years before he developed a sensitivity to poultry. I have another dog, Mia, now whom I fed the puppy version of this food until she was a year old and she loved it, so naturally we moved up to this food once she hit a year old. With all the worry about grain free foods potentially causing heart issues, we’d tried to switch Mia to a grain-inclusive food but she had diarrhea and vomiting when we tried gradually switching her food that progressively got worse. So we switched back to this food and we won’t try to switch off of it again knowing she cannot process grains! The ingredients are high quality for grain-free and there are no by-products. Mia maintains a healthy weight, soft shiny fur, and hasn’t gotten sick her whole life thus far (15 months old). My older dog also did very well on it until we had to switch him because of poultry, and his fur hasn’t been the same on his new food, very lackluster, but that could be due to his age as well. I’m not sure. All in all I highly recommend this food for small breed adult dogs who have to have grain-free food! I have three little dogs–a Terrier mix, a Poodle, and a Shih Zhu. Feeding the first two is easy. I used to feed grain free and such but after attending a canine health seminar at my breed nationals, it was talked about that dogs need a more balanced diet and that it does include grains. I had also been avoiding chicken as I had a dog who was allergic but was convinced to try this. They source quality ingredients and they are processed in a way that keeps them quality. Since then, a lot has also come out about grain free high protein causing heart problems in dogs! I switched to Royal Canin in October and my pugs have never looked better! Pugs are not a very active breed and yet the grain free diets kept them too lean for my taste. I also had issues with urinary tract infections and yeast. This food provides a good balance of carbs/protein and I see it reflected in my dogs. Healthy weight, good quality of coat and lots of energy. I feed the large breed blend to my Rottweiler too and get nothing but compliments on her coat. As far as cost, I can get this locally now at Petco as cheap or cheaper than with the online big store! I feed this to my picky Yorkie who eats it well and her coat is the shiniest I've ever seen it after a couple months on this food. We were recently traveling and my large dog went on a hunger strike and refused to eat. I offered her this food to stimulate her appetite and she ate it right up! My Yorkiepoo has a bit of a problem with constipation. At least twice over the years it's had him backed up enough that he required a trip to the vet and some meds to get his system moving. Since switching to this food (and keeping strict limits on table scraps and treats) his digestion's been great. Long enough, I want to say 2 ~ 3 years now, that if he does have any transient issues I'm confident his dry food is not to blame. And he's been in good health so I feel like he's getting the nutrition he needs. And the little bugger eats it. Not the foods fault but I will say I'm annoyed by the branding change from Focus. Not that I care about the name or picture on the bag, but when you find something good and don't want to change from it, such changes in packaging cause unneeded nuisance and stress. I actually use the lamb and rice so other than the protein everything else is the same I actually switched to it after the price of my dogs normal food got way to high. I definitely notice that her itchy skin is better her coat is shinier usually she will not eat plain dry dog food but because this has the boys dehydrated pieces of Liam edit she will eat it by itself which makes things a lot easier there are times that she does not want to eat it plain so I will moisten it with a little bit of water put it in the microwave for 12 seconds and she devours it. The thing I like about the small breed is the size of the kibble is perfect for her mouth size the price is quite good for what you get I definitely would recommend this my vet recommends this to all their clients my mother uses it for her schnauzer and we have not had any negative experiences I’ve been using this for a few years the only problem I have Kayla cross is that my local pet stores even though they are a big chain store have trouble keeping it in I don’t know if that’s due to popularity or because of shipping problems due to the pandemic we just went throughlaura.k
We are very active in the ring and eventing almost constantly at times going from one event to the next. Our fuzzy babies are beyond spoiled and are unfortunately very selective when it comes to kibble size. We have tried every size of kibble multiple times because the other isn't available and they will only eat the toy size. We have tried everything from breaking the larger kibble up to wetting it stirring it up to small pieces and drying it out, they will not eat it. We tried explaining to them that there is a pic of a Cavalier on the next size up but they don't care, Cavaliers are a toy breed and should have toy size kibble. They will dive into the toy size kibble and make it disappear as we pour it into their dishes. They truly love ProPlan Toy breed kibble. The reason they only got 4 stars is A BIG PROBLEM – availability. For some dumb reason the Toy size kibble isn't available in any pet store we have visited in MI, GA, FL, etc. (on the AKC circuit) What am I suppose to do when the only kibble our Cavalier pack will eat isn't carried in any stores. They only carry the next size up, which they won't eat. The second BIG PROBLEM is it only comes in a tiny bag! We have asked and asked to NO AVAIL (reps, stores,specialty stores, online stores). Appearantly toy size dogs aren't suppose to eat much kibble! The only other dogfood our dogs will eat is homemade fresh, that's it. Doesn't matter if it's in a pouch, can, tube. They will eat Toy ProPlan kibble. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make the Toy (Cavalier true size) ProPlan kibble available in a 20 or 25 lb bag for those of us who have larger toy breed dogs and may have more than one. I got the dark purple and they are beautiful. I have two Crocker Spaniels. Both girls have a wide chest but a short back so they can be difficult to get things to fit correctly. These work great if you need a little room to play with the size because the top closes with velcro and then a clasp. If you're dog pulls these feel really solid. Overall they are well put together and the colors are eye catching. When I take both girls to the dog park in their matching harnesses I always get asked about where I got them and what colors do they have!!
I have 4 of these harnesses from a few years ago and loved them. I decided to order 2 more… Unfortunately the new ones all gape at the neck terribly! Even pulling it back more so it’s flat on the neck first doesn’t work as it won’t close the Velcro and then the arm holes rub under the armpits. I realized they changed the arm holes slightly (by overlaying it onto my old ones) and it’s thrown off the whole pattern. They are now useless. So Disappointing since all else is perfect- quality, price, patterns. Try the “Wrap & Snap” instead, it fits great and is nice for summer as there’s no extra fabric on the back.Dog Mom

Purchased for my bull arab (50kg) who goes barking mad on the way to the beach in the tray of the ute. It's only excitement but upsets all other dogs around. I only put it on 3-4 and he barked once, then was quiet for the rest of the ride. Exactly what i was after Only ever have had to use it on level 2 and it has shocked my dog maybe twice and she doesn’t really bark much at all anymore. I only have to put it on every now and again if she gets barky again but it’s made an amazing difference in our home. We have a very very stubborn German Shepherd male who barks through all of the cheaper collars we have bought him. I got a little dachshund puppy about a month and a half ago and she’s been on the same food that the breeder gave her. It has never sat right with me that she doesn’t actually like the food and only eats it to get full. I have been researching for a long time different foods and what ingredients are bad or good and I went to a pet store to actually get a different food but they didn’t have it and I ran across this one. As soon as I saw the first few ingredients I knew that it would be great for her. I just gave her her first scoop of it and she literally ate it all within 5 minutes. I'll first start by saying I never do reviews. However I was at my wits end with our nine month old chiweenie. I thought my husband was going to kill me and the dog…and I was praying my neighbors did not have guns because this little 8 pound cutie barked like a 100 lb squealing pig at anything and everything! Previous to this device I tried the citronella collar and the ultrasonic remote. Neither phased her. I will say on day one I thought this thing was a piece of junk. I called pet safe and learned that the collar needs to be tightly fitted on the dogs neck or it will not work. After adjusting the collar and I was still on the phone with the representative my Daisy girl went outside and I witnessed it working immediately. We still have some light barking which I imagine occurs before the strengthened static but it is completely manageable. I will say after reading the reviews we have lucked out with the battery… It has been in use with an aggressive Barker for a month and still has not needed to be replaced. Our only downside is that the collar is bulky… I take it off when she comes inside. If I do forget to put it on when she goes outside she will bark up a storm again! I bought two Basic Static Bark collars to help alleviate my puggle's and beagle's separation anxiety barking when we are not at home. The collars are fitted properly and in accordance with instructions and the batteries are working, yet BOTH dogs continue to bark. The biggest problem is that both collars tend to move to one side of the dogs' necks, so the dogs are probably not receiving the static correction. The directions state to "REPOSITION THE COLLAR ON THE PET'S NECK EVERY 1 TO 2 HOURS.." Obviously, if we are not home, this is impossible to do. I wasted almost $100 on collars that do not work on either dog. Petsafe customer service recommended that I should purchase the more expensive Deluxe Petsafe Collar. No thanks. I bought this about a week ago after I received a complaint from a neighbor and was given a warning from our HOA for disturbance. We had just moved in about a month ago and didnt want to make enemies. My dog barks at everything. From shadows, birds to airplanes. I decided to give this a try. This collar really does work. Ive had a problem with my French Bulldog continuously barking when he is in the garden, he would bark at anything that flew over, birds, butterflies and even aeroplanes. He would bark if he heard another dog or if my snobby neighbours sat in their garden talking or eating and talking to their dog but completely ignoring mine, all of my other neighbours love him to bits and talk to him over the fence. I purchased two of these as have two noisy schnauzers. One of the dogs is nervous so reacted quickly to the beeps and vibration as disliked it. The other just barks at everyone! So on wearing the collars, the nervous yappy one … would make little noise but not dare bark. Thus is the second one I've gotten. It worked so good that after a few uses all I had to do was hold it up (not turned on) and say "want me to turn it on" and the barking stopped.. then I didn't even have to hold it, I just put my fingers like I was and she would stop.. well, the batteries died and I kept forgetting to get new ones. After a few years of not using it, she started the excessive barking again, I couldn't find it, so I had to buy a new one.. I took it out, turned it on and worked perfectly right away. My other dog doesn't respond to it, but she don't bark much. I only turn it on when the barking is an issue, otherwise its off until its needed. I'd tried a few different things to curb my dog's barking but nothing had worked. I chose this model based on the 'Bark Collars by Breed' chart and then rang the 0800 number to get further advice. The guy I spoke to could not have been more helpful. It's a pretty expensive purchase but I felt really confident that I wouldn't be throwing more money down the drain after speaking to him. My Boston Terrier of 9 years never barked in her life. We got a rescue and those days are over. Now she barks at everything, even more than the rescue. I bought an inferior product that didn’t work at all. So I invested in the Barkless 504. Well she will bark through the stimulation, even with the longer sensors and set to the highest L9. It does seem she barks a little less, but she definitely barks through the collar stimulation. I’m not over joyed by the function of this collar but it seems to be the best there is.Penny R
This collar did not work properly. It would do static correction when my dog was quiet and the bark counter didn't even register a single bark when he was barking like crazy. I tried to get it to work properly for 3 days before returning for a refund (that I had to pay shipping for both ways). It was very disappointing, especially when I was told 'there was nothing wrong with the collar'. (Yes, it was fitted correctly.) This collar is no good for very fluffy dogs. I'd suggest getting a collar with a microphone instead of vibration sensor for fluffy dogs.Rheannon D.

I have a 10 yr old Coton and she is a barker! She barks at everything. I have tried so many things to help her..shy doggy classes, thunder shirt, apple bitter spray, shake a can of pennies and so many other things. I finally just gave up and decided I will have to deal with it. I work from home and am on the phone, so the barking can be very stressful. When I heard about this collar I decided to give it a try. I waited about 3 days before even putting it on her because I felt bad for her! But after reading about it and knowing it won't hurt her at all I decided to give it a try. OMG I wish I had this collar years ago! It worked like a charm! She is a new dog! She learned pretty quick and now if she barks all I have to say is, do you want that collar back on?? And she grumbles at me and quiets up. The spray makes a sound coming out and sprays way out in front of her..no where near her face or eyes. It is a lemon smell for those who don't know what citronella smells like. It did go off a few times when she wasn't barking at all, but she was fine..she just looked at me like I didn't do anything! But the few little cons could never out weigh the pros for this collar. I would highly recommend if you have a barker. It is truly a godsend! My house is so much quieter now!Puff972
I bought this for a friend that was having trouble with his dog barking after moving to a new apartment. It has been about two weeks and is a different dog. He sometimes goes for a couple days with no spray in his collar. The first time he didn't like the spray and still doesn't but was not expecting the spray nor the smell. It didn't take him long, maybe a few days, to associate the barking with the spray. Bob, the dog, seems happier and more relaxed than he ever did before. We are trying to train our year old German shepherd/Belgian Malinois to stop barking at passersby going on walks outside of our fence. We are on a corner lot and walking traffic has been increased with the COVID 19 restrictions. It seems that in just a few days, she seems to understand not to bark. When she has the collar on, one low bark, and one spray and she's done. So, we are even leaving the collar off and seem to be hearing less barking. Granted, some dogs walking by and barking themselves might trigger her. But, it seems to be much more silent. \nWe had used the shock collar and it worked when it was on but not when it was off. We felt she was not happy when we put that collar on. We didn't seem to be making progress with weaning her off of that collar.

The guy retiring from my job wife said he couldn't have a dog throughout there marriage. So for his retirement i got him the perfect solution. This little dog is awesome and cute with his big eyes. Hopefully she won't complain about the volume but she can't complain about the clean up. I haven't given it to him but i hope he enjoys it. We have been playing with it at work. I am wondering if my little corgi chihuahua mix would like one as a little buddy. I recently changed my dog over from a purina food that shes been on fir many years to Hills science diet Age defying dry dog food. I folliwed my vets instructions and slowly weaned my dog over. We went threw the first 2 bags with now problem. By the time we got 3 bags in she was eating just the Hills Science Diet. When i purchased and first opened bag #3 to feed my dog she sid not eat rite away. This is Highly unlike my pup who normally gobbles all down in seconds. Eventually though, she ate the food and i didnt think much more. In the next 24 hours soft stool started. This continued for 2 days befor turning ti bloody stool. An abrubt visit to the vet uncovered no real answer other than obvious vissous diarrhea. They reccomended a bland diet of white rice and boiled chicken and perscribed and anti-inflammatory/anti diarrghea medication and reccomended possible emergency vet visit if not improved in the coming days. I took my do off the Hills food and instantly she seemed to improove. After finihing the medication from the vet they reccomended slowly weaning off the chicken &rice back onto her normal diet. So i added a small bit if the Hills bag of food that we had (bag #3) and back came the issue. Back to the vet, more test…no conclusion. Stoped and went back to chicken and rice and Improvement again! Finially decided ti go back and get a bag if our old purina dog food and stated trying to wean from chicken and rice to this dry dog food….success! Vet concluded all signs lead to this bag of Hills Science diet was the ussue…..you must recall!!!!save your animals people!! DDONT FEED

My Dogs love it and have lost weight. They are holding their proper weight now and have lots of energy. Skin and coat has nice condition and they have stopped throwing up dog food after eating. Their teeth have began to loose the tarter buildup as well. I will never feed any other dog food !childofiam

I bought the bark collar for my small breed dog who whines constantly & barks at every noise she hears. The collar worked great the first month, and then started shocking her randomly, when she wasn’t making a noise, and then quit all together. I tried to reset it per the instruction manual, and it didn’t work. I have made sure it’s on her neck properly, the green light has still been flashing saying it’s charged after 6wks. I charged it once today, and she has whined constantly since I put it back on her without a shock. So I am very dissatisfied with this collar. It advertises that is it for whining & barking. 1 month of working is not worth the high price.Sfreddie
The PetSafe bark collar is a basic bark collar with built in levels of correction. repeated barking activate higher levels of correction. In the base model, programming is done with the on/ off button. Confirmation of operation is accomplished by audio feedback. My hearing is not the best, and I had to hold the collar right next to my ear to hear the tones, but otherwise operation is strait forward I tried the collar on two different size dogs with excellent results. One was a medium size dog, a standard Poodle of about 40 pounds and the other, a small dog, a Schipperke, about 12 lbs. Both dogs responded well to the collar. I believe the size of the collar might become a factor in smaller dogs, especially when combined with other collars (license, flea etc.). The collar is rechargeable with any USB source and the USB cable is included, along with a test light and different size tips for the various dogs. I purchased this product for a new puppy who was being crate trained in an apartment. I chose this particular model because of the 15 incremental levels of correction and because of the recharging feature. I have used other models in the past and spent a fortune on model specific batteries. The collar itself was easy to fit. Even on a three month old puppy. It worked as advertised delivering incremental correction upon detecting a whine or bark. The problem is the dog failed to cease barking instead increasing his barks to the given correction. The collar was removed and another attempt was made to use the collar again with the same results. Two other attempts were made but by then the dog became visibly agitated at the site or placement of the collar. I returned the collar to tractor supply without any difficulties for a full refund. I decided to follow a more holistic approach and purchased Naturvet Hemp Quiet Moments soft chews. These chews given 45 minutes before crating do the trick and he now enters and remains quiet. It has taught him his crate is his safe space. The Naturvet product was purchased at Tractor Supply. We buy all of our food and treats and other supplies for the quality, fair prices, availability and extremely friendly associates, thanks again Emma.
