Just what we needed. Our new puppy was flipping over every different type of bowl I tried, even a mixing bowl with a rubbery bottom on it. I got this one and it was an immediate success. He tried to flip it and could not, and after a few days he gave up trying and just eats out of it instead of dumping the food out to eat from the floor. I don't have to sweep around his bowl nearly as often anymore!

My cat is a pig. She meows, instead of oinks! All she wants to do is eat…and eat fast!!! She doesn't even chew her food….Swallows dry food like they are pills!, and then immediately throw it all up. She doesn't like wet food. I would put some kind of an obstacle in her regular dish. I would use a golf ball, but I don't have one. Anyway, it would slow her down, but it wasn't ideal. The Durapet bowl does work, no more throwing up. It is a lot larger than what I expected. It won't fit in the cat feeding stand that I have for her. I hate giving this a bad review. This is a VERY good product and the idea of it is GREAT. HOWEVER, saying that, it does NOT work for my dachshund. He was rescued from the streets and we have had him almost 3 years, however he is a FAST and I mean even the daycare couldn't believe it. We had recently tried the durapet PLASTIC feeder which should have slowed him down.. but it didn't.. We have another doxie and now HE gobbles his down fast because the minute Harry is done (like a minute..no lie) he tries to get Grinser's food. So I was hoping this would work. I WILL say it stays PUT .. like glue..EXCELLENT.. but it just doesn't work for Harry. I gave it 4 stars because I don't want a bad review to keep someone from trying it. The medium bowl holds 2 cups of food max, so if your pet eats more than that you will need the bigger bowl. This bowl has slowed down my dog's intake. Not a lot, but enough to stop his regurgitation. I also now feed him twice a day instead of once. I bought an extra bowl for water, but at this point I am only giving him 1 cup at a time, so I don't know if this bowl works well for that. My dog had been eating too much too fast and then drinking water causing the regurgitation. It's been 2 weeks now and no regurgitation. I went into the store to order these bowls to take advantage of free shipping and to use the 20% off coupon. I paid $15.99 for each bowl. They are well made and have the slip grip on the bottom. Buy the right size and it's a perfect feeding bowl. I bought the 4 cup size. As a puppy he is getting 3/4 cup x3 per day. More than enough room as he grows and transitions into twice daily feedings. Great design, he can't pick up the bowl and the ring on bottom keeps bowl from moving. No spills and it's super easy to clean. A little pricey but it works and love the color choices.my3suns
Nice enough product, but not happy about sticker inside of bowl, so would not recommend it on that. Hard to get off and residue still there after weeks of use and washing. I purchased because its American made and looking to not have toxins or residue inside of bowl. Bowls are also much larger than appear in pic, wish I would of gotten smaller size. I understand the "no stick wont fall over", but photos are deceiving, wish I would of bought smaller. ( I have a small blind dog who falls over it) Otherwise seems nice and color is very pretty.ms._bond

I have a 4 month old Australian Shepherd puppy who literally inhales his food in record time. I tried a plastic puzzle bowl and that did slow him down A LOT, but I was afraid it was a little too difficult and causing him frustration. This metal bowl is a sturdy, excellent quality bowl with a nice weight and will be much easier to keep clean than the puzzle bowl. The problem is it really doesn't slow my pup down all that much. His little snout fits right down to the food and vacuums it up where with the puzzle bowl he had to use his tongue to lift the food out. I think I'm going back to the puzzle bowl for now and will try this bowl again when he is bigger.Holly V.

Great food dish. Our German Shepard/Husky mix has a tendency to paw at her food dish and spill it. She hasn’t done that with this one. The 3.8 cups is perfect size for her. It looks nice too. I’m a little afraid of what will happen to the finish if I gets wet but so far so good.nova
