Plus being insulated is perfect for a cold Indiana winter. She's huge and still growing and loves it. The first night she slept in front of it despite dog treats inside. It’s a great doghouse. He’s already tried chewing the top roof corners off but it hasn’t hurt the integrity of the house. He also won’t get in it. I’m not sure why, because he did get in his crate when it was in his dog pen. He’s a 9 month old GSP. I’m hopeful once he reaches adulthood he’ll stop eating it and actually get in it. I’d totally buy it again though. It’s a great doghouse! I just have a strange dog. He also can’t get on top of it because there isn’t any grip and he slides off. That helps with him not jumping out of the 6’ tall pen.

We got this house for a new Boxador puppy so that it can spend most of its time outside. We found it to be a good product. It was easy to put together and does stay much warmer than the outside air. In rainy weather, it stays dry. It is a very large house which would work for a lab or other large dog. No problems with the dog using the door. Only suggestion: add nuts and bolts for the 6 screws. Screwing metal into plastic is not a real good plan. I'm assuming the company will have replacement parts (door, window, etc…) available for my investment!Y Robinson

I actually got the 8" one I believe. I had an old one that was 14" and it was great. I wanted a smaller one for my puppy, but it is very light weight and does not dribble well. I suppose it will hold up, but it is not made as well as my old one. It could even be a different company. I have had my big one for about 15 years. I was looking for a dog house for my two dogs (one 50 lbs the other 60 lbs) to share. I am very happy with this dog house. It's not made out of flimsy wood like a lot of the other houses I looked at. The corrugated ecoflex material is very sturdy and this house is very simple to put together. Each piece is numbered and laying the pieces out in ascending order makes putting this house together a breeze. My dogs fit just fine inside the house and they'll be able to keep each other warm this winter. They are medium sized dogs so they're not very tall, if this house were to be purchased for a large breed the buyer MAY find this house to be too short. ex. A great dane would NOT be able to stand up and turn around in it. I've only had his house for a few weeks so I can not comment on the longevity of this product. The only downfall I've noticed so far is that it does get a little wet on the inside when it rains, I believe they make a plastic flap that can go over the door to help eliminate this problem, I just haven't looked into it yet. So even though I had the dimensions it was still WAY smaller than I thought it would be. I'm not sure what I expected. The actual dog house is a very good size for my 14 (a little overweight) Dachshund. It was hard for him to get up the stairs, I don't know if that's his weird body, short legs and long torso or it's just oddly small. I also changed the stairs from the direction its in to the a straight direction off the top. there was no way he was getting down the way they have it set up, makes no sense! it is beautifully made and I think It's a great house. This was super easy to put together and follow the directions; although I am a very handy person. I love it, it looks great on my patio for my little puppy and gives him a nice spot to rest and hide out in the shade. On warmer days, it did not feel hot inside, HOWEVER, I live in a place with very moderate temperatures (72 with a breeze most days). So in a warner climate you may want to purchase one of their dog house fans available on this site!!! As I hope you can see in the photo, my little guy enjoys his space! Side note: as far as the other reviews about the stairs being flimsy… I disagree. As long as you screw in all three screws for the stairs and don't attempt to drag this across and yard or surface, the stairs are very sturdy. I have a 16 year old cat that decided to live outside on our patio earlier this year. I have no idea why. She refuses to come in and when I force her to come in she poops on my shoes (ugh). I live in Southern California so it's not real cold but nights in orange county can get pretty chilly. I have bought her 3 little houses/beds and she refuses to go inside them. This was my last attempt/purchase. It was easy to put together by myself. I did not assemble the "upper deck portion or stairs". I did not screw in the roof either, this works perfectly for me. I can lift the roof off & on for easy access. It's quite snug and fitted when in place but easily lifts off. She's too old to use the stairs and would never use the deck portion. I have it on my patio in a corner under the overhang. She LOVES it!! I put her blanket inside with her pet heating pad (Amazon 19.99) under her blanket and she is in heaven. I lift off the roof every couple days to shake out her blanket and check her heating pad and she's always curled up napping. I am thrilled and now sleep knowing she's warm, comfortable and dry. I bought my first about 20 years ago, then shortly after bought another. My dogs passed, so I gave them to a neighbor, which still has them in use. I recently got a medium breed puppy, so I went and got another since I had such good service out of the first two. I would highly recommend to anyone with a pet outside. I mistakenly bought the Large doghouse for dogs up to 90 lbs. But my 5 month old coonhound was too large for it. I returned it and ordered the X-large doghouse and it is the right size. Unfortunately, the doghouse was broken in two places, probably due to the way you ship. These doghouses are delivered without any protection and will crack or break when sliding into anything. I will have to repair it to hold it together since I don't trust you are able to send another one without the same issues.Daniel

I got this recently on a great sale price… it was half the cost of another dog house that I bought (and returned). The one I ended up returning was designed as an actual house, but cost $100 and the plastic was very flimsy… I felt it wasn't worth the price, and my dog never liked it. I looked online and saw this "dog house" (it's really a crate, IMO); and Petco had the least expensive price, at half the retail cost. I was also able to pick it up the same day at a local store, and received a further discount for picking it up at the store. There's only 2 pieces (a top and a bottom), and the top basically just sits on the bottom, with tabs that are supposed to hold it in place. It's not the most secure, but I don't see this being blown across the yard or anything. The plastic is heavy duty and sturdy… I mean sure, if you live in a tornado or hurricane area, then of course, yes, it'll get toss across the neighborhood; but otherwise, it should stay in place. Great for when you need to leave your pet outside for a while. It's very wide, but not very long though. My dog can curl up in here and he can fit, but he can not stretch out or lay out in this… which is fine, because dogs usually like sleeping curled up and they like snug fitting enclosures to sleep in. My standard size labradoodle fits into it. He uses it to sleep in. This is not something he can stand straight up in or something he can stretch out in… but for sleeping, he loves to curl up in it. I bought it for use outside during the winter or a rainy day, to get out of the cold or rain when I have to put him outside in the yard for a while. We put it inside the house first so that he would get use to it. The one I got said it was for dogs 50-90 lbs., which is the large size. He has no problem getting in and out of this, and he likes it a lot better than the Suncast house shaped doghouse I got him (which I ended up returning). This is plastic, but it's made of heavy duty plastic and it's sturdy; there's only a top and bottom part, and basically the top part sits on the bottom part, with tabs that are supposed to hold the two pieces together. Got these doghouses as an outdoor reprieve from the elements for our 2 Huskies. They are very sturdy and made of solid hard plastic. They've managed to remain dry inside even in a couple of downpours and driving rain. The only time that wasn't the case is when I had one on an uneven patch of grass. So you definitely want to place it on a platform if there's no flat surface. Unfortunately our pups, house dogs that LOVE to go out and play, still haven't embraced the concept of having a private pad "outside." Other than that, it's easy to set up and clean. There was only ONE tab, not two. I had to tape my diaper in order for it to stay on my dog. These diapers are the WORST diapers I’ve ever seen. The instructions and all the pictures say there’s two tabs. I had to get long pieces of clear tape and tape the side that didn’t have the tab and the side with the existing tab to make sure it wouldn’t come off. I tried to put the first one back on my dog and there were holes in it when I took it off once because I had to tape it. I’ve never seen such poor quality things. I could’ve made a diaper and it would still be better than these diapers and I’m not the crafty type. If there was a zero star option I would put that. These are absolutely horrible.Human

We got barn cats a couple years ago, and I knew at the time the raccoons would eventually get in. They did this past winter, so I broke out this trap. The problem with the dog-proof traps is that you'll catch opossums too, and sometimes cats. I don't want them hurt. The possums eat ticks like crazy, and they're not breaking into the barn. I'm trying to help the cats. Even if you use a dog-proof trap with small marshmallows, you'll end up killing opossums too. After catching and putting down eight raccoons, one of them figured out how to pull apart the wires at the bottom edge of the trap a little. #9 pulled a wire out completely, #10 nearly got out, and would-be #11 ripped it apart enough to get out. So 10 raccoons down, three opossums (one died) up, and two cats caught and not hurt, and the trap totally paid for itself. Planning to pickup another one next time I'm in TSC.kjmc2

Great Product! My backyard was being terrorized, by a couple of raccoons. So, I bought the trap. It was easy to set up. I had to do a little testing to ensure I had the right "sensitivity" setting. I placed a lot of peanut butter, on the trap's inside tray. I also placed half a jar of the stuff further inside the device. (Raccoons love peanut butter! (But so do squirrels plus chipmunks, etcetera! So, set up the trap after the squirrels and chipmunks have retired, for the night!)) At about 10:50 pm, I thought I heard something. So, I inspected the trap and there was one of the pesky raccoons. Then using the small hole, on the door, I wired the door shut, so the raccoon could not escape, during the night. (Raccoons are smart!) Then I placed the whole thing in my garage. The next day, I placed the trap, on a plastic tarp, in the trunk of my car, drove for a few miles, and then let the critter out. Easy! I am totally satisfied! No complaints!

I've moved 3 skunks from suberbia to the country. Not my favorite job but works. Any protein seems to work. I've learned putting a few pieces of cooked chicken or beef stuck on a smear of peanut butter is a winner. I've found building a wall around trap using cement blocks works best as they want to move the sucker if they can and something heavy on top. I have a piece of wood with a handle I can pull out when I lay my safety tarp on the trap. If buying another I would spend $ for the automatic gate but so far havunt been sprayed and does get my stress hormones activated releasing. Well built. I could trap at least 100 and trap wouldn't be damaged I don't think but if I stay at 3 I will be happy.King

This was the perfect product for me to review. I have two toddlers and a 120 lb Bernese Mountain Dog who can be messy and has marking his territory in the house lately! My kids both have little Lazy-Boy type chairs that are covered in a cloth material and my dog has peed on both of them. I've always wanted to use a carpet shampooing vacuum on them but that was impossible.. until I received this! It's very easy to use and so light and easy to carry around. I like that there's a scrub brush built right into the attachmentments. I love that there's a regular and an extra small attachment to get into small areas. The surface stains, like the area of the seat that looked dirty, only took one slow pass to show a really noticeable difference! Other areas, like pen marks or the arms that looked dirty didn't come out right away but I didn't expect them too. It's normal that some areas will need to be spot treated beforehand. The chair no longer smells like dog urine at all! That's the hard part is getting the smell out, especially when it goes down deep. The chairs were only minimally wet after we were done. The vacuum has a self-cleaner on it that's really easy to use, which I love! Overall, I think this vacuum is a big success, especially when I look up the price and see it's under $200. It's not a professional grade cleaner but it also doesn't cost nearly as much as one. We will definitely get a lot of use out of this vacuum. I bought this upholstery cleaner specifically for the wide attachment. I needed this to clean large areas like my couches, rugs, and car. First time I used it it worked fairly well but I had to go over with a few passes. For the rugs I shampooed them first and this tool worked great on those! The problem when I tried to use it the second time—water leaked everywhere. And I don’t mean a little bit of water, it was enough that I got worried it would have ruined my floor and used large towels in a panic to clean it up. By that point the return window had passed for it and now I’m stuck with an expensive machine that I can’t use indoors. I still use it outside for my rugs because the water leaking isn’t an issue there. Coming to write a review and reading all the positive ones I thought maybe mine was just bad luck. I’ve never had an upholstery cleaner and was debating which one to get. I like this one, seems to clean well. However, novices need to read this: no matter which cleaner you get, spot cleaning may cause water marks on your furniture. After cleaning my pieces, they look worse than before, because I spot cleaned rather than cleaning the whole thing. This may be because I have white furniture but if you clean one area of a dirty chair, that area will be cleaner/lighter and make the rest look dingy. I’m super bummed, all my upholstery looks much worse after cleaning it. I wish I had never cleaned it to begin with. Again, this is absolutely no fault of Hoover. The machine worked well and cleaned well. Moral of the story- clean the ENTIRE piece of furniture to avoid patchy areas. Other thoughts: – I thought the tough scrubber head would ruin my upholstery but it didn’t seem to – good suction (though you need the entire vacuum head to connect with something to maintain suction, so suction doesn’t really work if you are trying to do a thin chair arm that doesn’t allow you to press the whole head down against the fabric). – the hose cleaner is a nice feature – it does seem to clean well – the cleaning solution sprayer is spotty, not like a regular spray bottle. We have been giving this to our rescued 9 year-old, 13 lb. cat since March of this year. He has a condition called Hyperesthesia, which causes terrible rippling of his back and according to the vet, feels like needles sticking into the skin. He was getting a monthly shots of Naloxone to keep it under control. Those visits were quite expensive and caused more stress to the cat. Due to an emergency that arose, we went to another wonderful vet. She noticed the rippling and suggested we might try Soloquin. We gave him 1 each day for 2 days and the rippling ceased completely. It has been amazing! They are soft and we break them up and mix them into his canned food. We were told to keep giving him 1/2 daily and he has been nearly symptom-free. I have used Solliquin ever since it first came out for my cat who is absolutely buckwild. He just takes it as needed, particularly when the landscapers come by because that is a high stress event for him. Now that we have a dog, I give it to her to help with anxiety at day care, the vet’s office, during thunderstorms, or any other time she may get a little stressed out. If your pet is just anxious all the time, it will probably work best if you give it daily as directed to keep it at a consistent level in their system and it can take a few weeks to build up to a therapeutic level in their system.Nancy

I couldn't find the Purina Pro Plan Savor Shredded Chicken/Rice but kept coming across this instead. My pup devoured the savor ever time. Then I got this.. stuff. First thing I notice it's the smell. I've never EVER smelled a pungent odor like that but figured I'd reluctantly see how pup liked it. He didn't. He sniffed it and took longer thatmm usual to finish it. Every time. One it was out, I got a smaller bag thinking it was a fluke. Opened the bag and smelled that same odor as first bag. He still is a bit reluctant like before to easy so I'm done. My dog had recently stop eating her current dog food. It seemed as if she did not like the rock hard crunch and small pieces of the other brand. While at a friends house our dog always their dogs food. It had larger pieces one color and not so rock hard crunch. Plus it had a nice smell that she seemed to enjoy. We have feed Purina Pro Plan to our dogs from the puppy blend to adult and senior kibble. All have done wonderfully on Pro Plan. The quality is exceptional. The only problem I have is all the blends they offer have some have the same picture of dog breed. I have gotten the wrong formula and had to go back to the pet store to exchange for the correct formula. It's wonderful to have the option of flavor, age, digestive issues, shredded, non shredded………. But please use other dog pictures. The pet food store said this a common problem with people grabbing the wrong bag. So please use some other breed pictures to not make the bags all look the same when they are not.horsemom58

I’ve had since a pup and she always kind of had wiry’ish hair once she outgrew the puppy stage, I thought it was normal. Then she was constantly itching a couple years later and would have an upset stomach at least twice a month. We tried EVERYTHING! Vet tested her for allergies, skin scrapes, the best of the best flea meds, different types of foods that would work for a bit, you name it. We couldn’t figure it out. I got a recommendation from another vet to give the Purina Pro Plan Sensitive food a shot and honestly, I didn’t really think it would make a difference. 1. She loves it and 2. I have a dog that doesn’t feel like a Brillo pad and isn’t itching all the time! Have a Bluetick coonhound with severe allergies and she loves this food. She tells the whole world when it’s supper time and reminds us so we won’t forget lol!!! She’s always the first one fed, and we mix her dry food with the salmon and rice sensitive skin and stomach wet and by the time the second furbaby is fed she’s already inhaled hers!!! Our Chocolate Lab eats out of a self feeder whenever she wants, and it stays full of this food also!!! It smoothed out her coat and she shines so beautifully!! Also we have a Cocker Spaniel that is on this food too, only the small bite formula because her little mouth is so small. She has allergies and this seems to help. But more than any the omega 3’s really set off her solid black coat!! Everyone asks what we feed her cause her hair is beautiful!! Even her groomer says she’s been grooming for 40+ years and has never seen a coat on a Cocker like hers!! We do have one more mixed breed rescue, and we tried it on him, but he didn’t seem to care for the taste at all. He has no allergies or anything to that nature so it wasn’t anything but convince for him to eat same…however he is on another Pro Plan food.

We always used to feed our two dogs kibbles and bits. the one dog would spit up every now and then and the other dog, who has seasonal skin allergies was very itchy and we had to get him cytopoint injections (every 2mo). We’ve been using Purina pro plan for close to two years now and the dog who used to spit up now and then, no longer does! Not once!!! the dog who was getting the cytopoint injections, no longer gets the injections!!! his itchiness is reduced about 70%. He still itches some, but it’s manageable, using the proper amount of Benadryl or Clartin for 1-3 days just 3 or 4 times a year. Sure beats vet appts and shots every 2 months!!!! The Blue Buffalo Life Protection Beef and brown rice flavor was a HUGE hit!! I have two Labs and they are a little picky when it comes to dog food. I think they may be a little too pampered and spoiled to be honest. They only like the finer things in life. I have given my dogs Blue Buffalo dog food before, but it was the chicken and rice formula. I knew they would be super excited to try the Beef and rice formula. And I was right!! This formula may be the best formula that Blue Buffalo makes. My dogs went crazy for it. As soon as I opened the bag you should have seen their little noises going. They are both very well behaved dogs and they acted like little kids at a candy store. They LOVED it. The smell is mild and not too overpowering. Some dog food stinks horribly, this was not the case here. It actually had a very pleasant smell to it. My dogs definitely enjoyed it and knew exactly what it was when I opened the bag. I love how the formula is very small bite sized pieces. It is easier for the dogs to eat and prevents any chocking hazards. I didn’t taste it myself, but I can vouch for the flavor by the way my dogs enjoyed it so much. They both thought it tasted wonderful. Oh my goodness! I received a Ripplestreet Box in my mailbox and it was Blue Life Protection Beef & Brown Rice. I gave some to my shih tzu and she absolutely loves it!
