As other reviewers have stated…"What a JOKE" and this thing is indeed a "DUMPSTER FIRE!" My son and I were so excited to build this only to find the gingerbread was hard as a rock and you had to break them apart, which I knew would end terribly…and it did. Even with the sharpest knife, I carefully attempted to cut them apart only to find them breaking all over the place and crumbling. I don't know why these had to come stuck together. That's just stupid! If you're even lucky enough to break them all apart and they do stay together, the houses are so TINY and of course, there's never enough candy and frosting. Like others have said, please don't waste your money. This thing is nothing but a scam! I'd give it zero stars if I could.Kiley
The frosting was separated and looked spoiled. The houses were all stuck together and was difficult to separate each house from the other. The pieces were not consistent in size, this made it very difficult to build and put together. The gingerbread did not taste good and the candy tasted bad as well, my kids refused to eat them and threw the left over candy away. Do not buy this set. We wanted something smaller so that the kids were not eating as much sugar as they do with the large houses. It worked because they threw the houses and the candy away.Victoria
Images given on package GROSSLY overstate the amount of icing you receive in kit. You get maybe a quarter of what you think you get, and that is pushing it. You get the same amount as you get in the smaller kits that have four or fewer houses to build. It is sad a disappointing. Several houses broken, looking as they broke when vacuum sealed. Icing Bag Preparation: Knead/massage the icing pouch for 1 – 2 minutes bringing icing to room temperature and making it more adhesive. To start the flow of icing, cut a small opening at one of the corners of the icing pouch. Be sure not to cut the opening too large. Your icing is now ready to squeeze. Line the 4 canals of the simple start tray with a thin strip of icing. Step 2: Gently break apart the side panels and detach chimney from the front panel. super cute. Kids were excited. One end piece arrived broken. Not a big deal, you can use the frosting to put it back together. The 2 star rating is due to the poor packaging. The cookie shaped faces arrived in literal crumbs. None were recognizable. Just a little baggie of crumbs. also the cute little cardboard figures shown are just part of the box that you have to cut out and hope they actually stand up.Heather
