Very important because I think the citrus smell is unpleasant to them. I did not think it was strong smelling at all. She did not pee in these areas again. The turf itself is okay quality, easy to clean and drains correctly. However, the middle draining tray is not designed at all to work at all. The urine just collects on top of the drain tray because the holes and bumps aren't in a functional area and it barely drains to the lower tray. It is made from a texture that soaks up the urine instead of allowing it to flow off and threw, therefore it collects oder, collects urine that won't wash/scrub off, it can't be cleaned properly and all that waste causes the material to break down. When I say break down, I mean in ever sense. It starts to break off in pieces. Every time I clean the product, more peices fall off and it gets smaller and smaller. Basically, this product does not work. I learned that I should stick with what works and not take chances of cheaper off brand products. Even though the size of my other potty unit is less portable, it actually works! We just got a little dog that is 1 from the shelter. She has trouble holding the pee and poo till we get home. She is a chewer and she figured out how to pull the grass out so that went right away chewed it all up. Then the plastic grates and the puppy pad after that. She doesn't like stepping on flooded grass or using it when it's not stable and falls through the middle. Please reinforce the base. I tried for six weeks to train my dog to use this. He HATES it. I bought and tried to cancel a $43 grass mat which I placed next to this and he was fine using IT. But despite a few successes manipulated with treats and the subsequent realization that this product will reek of urine despite the marketing BS, my dog only relented to using it under duress. I would never recommend this. I wasted $300 myself, don't do the same. I spoke to no fewer than seven people who'd done the same. This marketer is definitely cherry picking their metrics.Lara H

Wife found young cat in drain at work. She took it home. A few weeks ago she got underneath vehicle and jumped down while we were driving down the street. She had her tail and rear end run over. We took her to the vet, she was bleeding heavy. They patched her up and gave her meds, sent her home and said see if she makes it. Thankfully she is making a recovery, but she is not able to lift her tail or control her bladder or ****. Wife searched online, found mostly dog diapers, but came across this site. We ordered 2ea. 3 packs after measuring cat. Package arrived quickly, and diapers looked high quality. Unfortunately we tried multiple times and ways to get diaper on. We did not have any problem getting over tail its when we tried around legs, either picking her up or trying upright. Wife and son tried to hold while I attempted to put on multiple times. All I can say is the diaper does a good job of holding my blood. We finally gave up after about the 10th time. Maybe our cat is a wild one, but she was having no part of this. I thought that since she was injured we would have no problems. Also tried when she was sleepy. I think I need to search for a cat diaper holding pen! Anyway I've got an unopened 3 pack and an opened unused 3 pack that is sitting on my table. I'm glad cat is alive, but these diapers are not for her.George P.
I bought small for my mini dachshund and medium for my beagle. Both were perfect fit. I found they are great for occasional incontinence but they wet through quickly and sag, making them very easy to slip out of. Daisy, our 16 year old beagle, wrestled her way out of them repeatedly. After some trial and error, we found the perfect solution. We use Poise pads inside the diaper (disposable pads used for human incontinency issues) and mitten clips to attach them to her harness! I'm about to order another set in the pretty fall Lodge colors. Very happy to have saved my floors and my sanity. Great product. We absolutely LOVE the Belly Bands! My 12.5 yo boy was peeing on the floor in the kitchen during the night and it made me crazy! I was about ready to start crating him at night, like I did when he was a puppy and house training. As a last ditch effort to having crates in the house again, I got the Belly Bands and Diapers, and the bands fit and work GREAT!! But the diapers in the same size, are too big and come off! I read several reviews stating that this item was single-sided. Perhaps that was an old model/design. The one I received is double-sided. I also did not have a problem stabilizing it in the dirt or with the sign snapping or breaking. I used a long screwdriver to “pre-drill“ holes into the dirt and easily slid the sign into the ground. The sign worked instantaneously. I have a motion-activated camera and would receive multiple daily alerts and videos of dogs peeing on my bushes. I have not received one single alert and have not seen one dog peeing on my bushes since the sign was installed. Worth every penny.Lee
Ive lost plants and shrubs under the lampposts at my driveway entry. Ive noted the culprits and their dogs that are the culprits, but I have been too late and perhaps timid to approach these uncaring people. Several weeks ago, I ripped out the dead plantings and planted anew together with the sign. So far so good. I note that since the Pandemic more people have acquired dogs – perhaps as a means to walk and be forced to exercise. Possibly these folks are ignorant of the toxics contained in dog ***. We live in a suburb and have been here for years now.Before I got this my family was having issues with the neighbors letting their large dogs (German Shephard and Golden Retriever mostly) **** right next to our mailbox. HOA refused to do anything for months so a went ahead and bought this. Ever since the neighbors havent let their dogs **** on our property at all.FOOT NOTE: Our neighbors are horrible and weve filed many complaints to our HOA about them letting their dogs **** next to our mailbox many times in a single day at times and parking and lining up their cars on our mailbox all the way to the end of our curb (6 car spaces). The neighbors that parked on our side on our mailbox have 50-80 of their driveways empty most of the time and one has a whole boat on their driveway and still have plenty of space for 3 more cars. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on anything else like I did. I was literally at the point of tears after buying a used sectional and realizing there was cat pee on a large section and it STUNK, like gag a maggot. I used vinegar, baking soda, then shampooed it with RugDoctor pet stain remover. Then tried Angry Orange Odor eliminator, then Rocco and Roxy urine odor remover (which actually did help but still left way too much stink in the bad spots) I used it like 3x. I was about to drag the sofa out into my yard and set it on fire. Literally. Then I decided to try 1 more thing… and thank God I tried this. It took care of 98% of the smell after the 1st treatment. My dogs hate it. they won t go near it. it elevated off the ground which is really weird. my dogs are very small so it s difficult for them to even conceive of getting up onto it. It moves to easily on the tile floor, so even if the dogs were to get up on it, which they won t, it moves which scares them so they jump right back off. I need to return it . I don t like it at all
Received in original packaging, was not in a plain box. They just slapped a label on the box the item came in. Anyone could see what was sitting at my door after it was delivered. After opening box, very strong plastic odor. Still very strong! Our dog will not use it, and has no interest in it. Sits to high off of floor, could be lower. Design isn t bad, but could be lower to the ground.

Let me start by saying I don't have a ton of experience with pee pads so I don't have a lot to compare to. I've used basic ones without much success and then upgraded to the Freshpatch with a ton of success. Something about real grass did it for my pup. This was during my time living in a second story apartment. I now live in a house with a backyard so I don't need either anymore. This product worked great to get our dog to pee in the middle of the pad, but since we keep a pad for accidents when we are not home the pad was not ideal or essential. Our dog completely avoided the pad and the surrounding area for any poo accidents leaving us with “surprises” around the house.
