I adopted two very rambunctious puppies and bought many bottles of Grannick's Bitter Apple to deter them from chewing on things like furniture, shoes, etc. I tried other deterrents as well as puppy chew toys. In my opinion, Grannick's works the best. I gave this product four stars because the pump strayer was defective on a several bottles and did not spray. The liquid just dribbled out. You have to do more than just ONE spraying I have two 9 month old Staffordshire Bull Terriers that will eat chew thru anything! Of Couse love my slippers. No its like everything else I have tried does not work I can't even get my cats to get it down. When I first got it I let my cat smell it and he literally gagged (should have stopped there)?then I put it in a syringe and gave it to him and he threw up right after I gave it to him. My 20 y.o. senior cat has had upper respiratory issues since he was 1 year old, but had gotten so chronic and so bad that he has literally had a stuffy nose and sneezing for an entire year straight. I measured out 3/4 cup of dry like the package says and added 3/4 cup of boiling water as instructed on the package. I also did this for the second meal. The package states there are three meals so I measured out the meal for the third meal and there only was 1/3 of a cup left, not 3/4 of a cup. I ordered this for my picky eater hoping to find something healthy that she would eat since she was starting to refuse the boiled chicken and still wouldn’t eat canned or dry dog food . This arrived today and was so simple to prepare and my extremely picky eater acted like a hungry hippo . She ate almost the entire serving then went to my other dogs plate and started eating his canned dog food. I couldn’t tell you the last time she ate that . I only ordered one bag because I wasn’t sure if she would like it, but I must say I will be ordering more and will likely try some of the other flavors . WOW! I have a 9 month old Pomeranian who doesn't really like to eat his kibbles, it'll take him forever, if not hours to eat his food, sometimes he doesn't even finish it. I've contemplated on switching his food but hated wasting a big bag of dog food. I've tried bone broth, didn't really work. I mixed his food with wet food and that worked but it wasn't cost efficient. I saw this at the store and decided to purchase this set online because it's a better steal to get all of the flavors. I wasn't sure how to use this, either sprinkled with his food or mixed in with water then into his kibbles. This chicken food topper helps our fussy eating puppy to eat her dog food. She is more likely to eat her food with the flavoring on it than if it doesn’t. We’ve tried the beef too. We seem to try to be creative with her food rather than let it sit in her dish untouched. Perhaps we spoil her, but we worry when she refuses to eat for days. Best thing, since sliced bread ! Like many other people I hesitated a long time to make the purchase due to the cost and could have saved myself a lot of sleepless nights if I bought this sooner. My neighbour has a German Shepard and another big dog. Their favourite time (although not the only time) is to bark through the night in close proximity to our bedroom window. Both dogs are untrained and the owners don't care about the nuisance their dogs are causing. The German Shepard's barking improved within a day. The other dog is older and still barks, but less and now goes to the other side of their property where the barking is not causing such a nuisance. We have mounted the device on our TV antenna on top of our roof due to the neighbour's property being higher than ours and will raise it more, which may perhaps help sort out the barking on the other side of the house as well. When the dogs are out of reach of the bark pick-up zone, I simply push the remote, which works great from almost my whole house. The remote and I are now inseparable when I am home. So far this thing is a lifesaver. I WILL say, we live on a city block, where about 6 yards converge in one area, with lots of fences between. We mounted ours from a 2nd story-patio pointing down into an adjacent yard where two VERY territorial dogs reside in the backyard. The owners let them randomly run in and out for every little noise they year through the doggy-door to bark for HOURS. The device is quite sensitive, I have to keep it turned down almost as low as possible so it doesn't go off randomly (in audible mode), for every little sound it picks up. But it does go off for the dogs, and it does seem to work on them because they'll immediately whine after 3 barks and then circle the backyard before heading back indoors. No more barking at every single neighbor for simply opening a door, or LOOKING OUT A WINDOW DOWN AT THEM, or even seeing a silhouette behind A CLOSED CURTAIN. YEESH. We have some great neighbors who have several dogs, one or two of which bark far too much. After several years of enduring it I decided to try this Ultimate Bark Controller. I mounted it to our house about 10 feet above the ground and pointed directly into their yard. I turned the sensitivity to max and set it on audible so I could tell when it was being triggered. Almost immediately it began to have an affect. It didn’t stop the barking completely or all at once, but over time it has greatly reduced the amount of barking and especially the needless barking. If people walk down the sidewalk the dogs still bark, but without anything to instigate barking their problem barkers are much quieter dogs now. This has helped out our neighborhood. Almost all of our neighbors have dogs and all of them bark too much, including our own dogs. However this device has helped reduce barking all around just by reducing the barking in this one yard. I adopted two very rambunctious puppies and bought many bottles of Grannick's Bitter Apple to deter them from chewing on things like furniture, shoes, etc. I tried other deterrents as well as puppy chew toys. In my opinion, Grannick's works the best. I gave this product four stars because the pump strayer was defective on a several bottles and did not spray. The liquid just dribbled out. I had to buy a spray bottle to properly apply it. Note: The product may stain. I used it anyway because I did not want the puppies to destroy my sofa. Also, I had to reapply it until my puppies learned that my sofa tastes bad and puppy chew toys taste good. Prior to the puppies, I used Grannick's Bitter Apple on my older dog. He developed a hot spot on his leg. I sprayed his fur around the hot spot, not on the hot spot itself. It worked very well in stopping him from licking that spot.VinTiff2021
This spray works!!! I have a bull dog puppy that loves to chew on everything he should not! I bought two bottles one for home and one for the office as I take him to work with me. No more chewing on the dining room table, my office chair or mist dangerously electrical cords!! Keep in mind that the spray is not effective after it has dried. If you puppy like to chew on your hand spray a little on your hand, one taste and he wont anymore. I have tried other sprays this one WORKS!! I bought this on advice of a trainer, who said o spray it on a cotton ball or wadded up paper towel, then rub it on my puppy's tongue, so he'd know how bad it tastes. Then, he'd keep off anything that tasted like it. Instead, my black standard golden doodle liked it! I think my dog is weird. He also likes jalapeno peppers (he scarfed one down, that I'd dropped on the floor before I could get it, then wanted more) and lemon slices (the toddler grabbed on, tasted it, made a face, then gave it to the puppy, who loved it). Like I said, weird dog. I'm really looking forward to what this puppy does next! But, so I know where he is, I'm keeping him on a leash indoors, to gently pull him off the furniture (he chewed the bottom edge of my coffee table when no one was looking) and so he can't hide-the end of the leash will give away where he is, and that he's no doubt up to something! BTW, wear gloves when you use this spray. I didn't, and got it on my fingers, then it got onto my lips. I think I had the taste in my mouth for 4 days!Carys
