Best thing, since sliced bread ! Like many other people I hesitated a long time to make the purchase due to the cost and could have saved myself a lot of sleepless nights if I bought this sooner. My neighbour has a German Shepard and another big dog. Their favourite time (although not the only time) is to bark through the night in close proximity to our bedroom window. Both dogs are untrained and the owners don't care about the nuisance their dogs are causing. The German Shepard's barking improved within a day. The other dog is older and still barks, but less and now goes to the other side of their property where the barking is not causing such a nuisance. We have mounted the device on our TV antenna on top of our roof due to the neighbour's property being higher than ours and will raise it more, which may perhaps help sort out the barking on the other side of the house as well. When the dogs are out of reach of the bark pick-up zone, I simply push the remote, which works great from almost my whole house. The remote and I are now inseparable when I am home. So far this thing is a lifesaver. I WILL say, we live on a city block, where about 6 yards converge in one area, with lots of fences between. We mounted ours from a 2nd story-patio pointing down into an adjacent yard where two VERY territorial dogs reside in the backyard. The owners let them randomly run in and out for every little noise they year through the doggy-door to bark for HOURS. The device is quite sensitive, I have to keep it turned down almost as low as possible so it doesn't go off randomly (in audible mode), for every little sound it picks up. But it does go off for the dogs, and it does seem to work on them because they'll immediately whine after 3 barks and then circle the backyard before heading back indoors. We have some great neighbors who have several dogs, one or two of which bark far too much. After several years of enduring it I decided to try this Ultimate Bark Controller. I mounted it to our house about 10 feet above the ground and pointed directly into their yard. I turned the sensitivity to max and set it on audible so I could tell when it was being triggered. Almost immediately it began to have an affect. It didn’t stop the barking completely or all at once, but over time it has greatly reduced the amount of barking and especially the needless barking. If people walk down the sidewalk the dogs still bark, but without anything to instigate barking their problem barkers are much quieter dogs now. This has helped out our neighborhood. I recently adopted 2 retired greyhounds and noticed my female would hide and pant before and during rainstorms. I bought these just a few weeks before July 4th since the firecrackers were already starting to explode in our neighborhood and my male grey refused to walk after hearing pops and getting spooked. My "little" guy has a life long issue with loud noises that began about eight years ago when he was eleven weeks old and we ventured out in between thunder showers with his mom and dad. Suddenly a stray lightning bolt hit missed us by only a few yards and the accompanying explosive noise terrified my three dogs and myself. The dogs went howling into the house and you can imagine the impact that experience had on a very young pup. I did everything I could think of to acclimate Yulee to sudden loud noises but nothing seemed to work as well as the ThunderShirt we purchased on the Amazon site. He's not as frightened of approaching thunder boomers as he is by gun fire or fireworks probably because he can gradually get into a more relaxed state with advancing storms. Now we also have time to prepare him for the thunder claps and we're relieved that he apparently finds the ThunderShirt comforting. He also likes to have time to curl up in secluded spot where he probably doesn't feel as exposed to any inherent danger – (see the third image). You can tell he's starting to feel threatened in the middle shot where his tail is tucked under his rear and the noise from today's thunderstorms is getting increasingly louder. The only reason the ThunderShirt didn't earn 5 stars from me is that at a svelte145 pounds Yulee was squeezed too much for our liking by the largest size (XXL) offered. The product works great, however read this carefully to determine the quantity to order, the website is misleading. The manufacturer sells the product in 1 gram (small dog), 2 gram (medium dog), and 4 gram (large dog) sizes. Each package contains 3 packets to be given over 3 days. In order to get the correct amount for your dog's weight, you may need to order more than one package. According to the manufacturers instructions, you need to administer one gram of product (daily) for every ten pounds of animal weight. So, up to: 10 lbs = 1 gram; 20 lbs = 2 grams; 30 lbs = 3 grams; 40 lbs = 4 grams; 50 lbs = 5 grams; 60 lbs = 6 grams, etc. So, if your dog weighs 11 to 20 lbs, you need to order a 2 gram (medium dog) size and give him 1 packet per day for 3 days. But if your dog weighs 21-30 lbs, you need to order a 1 gram (small dog) AND a 2 gram (medium dog) package, and give your dog a packet from each size for 3 days. A puppy was pretty much dropped in my lap several days ago, her belly was SO bloated as she hadn't had any vet care prior. Before even getting her home I pondered the wormers at our local Petco, selected this one. On day 3 the worms came out, though her poor bloated belly was reduced after the first day. Will use this again if worming can't wait for the vet. Due to her weight we did have to weigh out the medicine (half a gram ='s 1/4 teaspoon), and you must have an accurate weight on the dog and an accurate measuring device for it to be as effective as it can be without giving too much. My 12-year-old German Shepherd developed leaking problems about a year ago, and we have used this great product ever since. According to the manufacturer's directions, you need to skip dosage every 3 months for 48 hours, and the last time we did that, her leaking increased dramatically, till I got her back on. My 12 year old Yorkie suddenly starting losing the contents of her bladder during the night. The vet suggested checking for a UTI. I did some research and found that not only would that be expensive and require a course of antibiotics, many people found that the dog's UTI would come right back after they were done. Since she wasn't in pain when urinating and there was no sign of blood, I thought I would try apple cider vinegar first which evidently works very well. It didn't help so next I tried Tinkle Tonic which did help, but not completely. I called the company which makes it and they suggested using the Tinkle Tonic concurrently with the Leaks No More. Voila, no more leaking! When the TT was finished, I just kept using the Leaks No More and it worked fine by itself. Two caveats, you have to keep giving it every day and by itself. I tried another of their homeopathic remedies for itching and gave it concurrently and when she leaked again, found out from the company its effectiveness is reduced when given with another remedy.the-old-den-closet

I have two senior dogs that gets soooo excited for these. They think they’re getting treats when it’s time for these. I have seen improvements in the short time using these for my dogs. Our 10 year old Yorkie no longer have a hind leg issue she has been having. To put in very basic language – It stinks. However, it has no noticeable effect on the dog, slightest bang from a firework and he turns into a nervous wreck, which is strange as he does not worry about 12 bore shotguns going off on nearby land, To put it short, it gives humans a headache but has no visible effect on the dog. It is not "calming" nor does it "de-stress", and has no noticeable "anti anxiety" abilities I bought this to help calm the dog over the Nov 5th weekend. It did not work. I bought this to bring harmony to my two cats. One is slightly nervous and the other a bit excitable. The first night I switched the diffuser on my 2 cats and myself slept in to 9am in the morning…totally unheard of! I find the scent a bit strong for me, so I switch it on when the cats are in.The scent is still slightly noticeable when switched off. It has a calming affect on my nervous one and he tends to sleep near it. Therefore, I cannot fault the product as it appears to work, is sturdy and good value for money. This is an excellent product. Its used by the RSPCA for calming their rescue animals My little cat had been very stressed by the death of her sister and also 6 weeks of renovations going on in the house- lots of noise, dust and strangers in the house. The product is basically as it is described. My puppy is a little rambunctious, so she wouldn't stop pulling them around and trying to eat the grass off. She is 4 months old and very energetic. She was initially trained on potty pads, but we were looking for a segue into training her to go outside. It didn't really work for us. I ordered a LARGE for my PUGGLE and he barely can fit on it. Definitely not even close to true to size. And since i've started using this the scent of urine has been obnoxious and potent and i clean it daily with pet lysol spray and hot water. This is a purchase that I can conclude as a lesson learnt. I purchased this product because it was smaller than my other pet unit which allowed it for portability when traveling. The turf itself is okay quality, easy to clean and drains correctly. However, the middle draining tray is not designed at all to work at all. The urine just collects on top of the drain tray because the holes and bumps aren't in a functional area and it barely drains to the lower tray. It is made from a texture that soaks up the urine instead of allowing it to flow off and threw, therefore it collects oder, collects urine that won't wash/scrub off, it can't be cleaned properly and all that waste causes the material to break down. When I say break down, I mean in ever sense. It starts to break off in pieces. Every time I clean the product, more peices fall off and it gets smaller and smaller. Basically, this product does not work. I learned that I should stick with what works and not take chances of cheaper off brand products. Even though the size of my other potty unit is less portable, it actually works! Well, it works but not very well. I was excited to get this, thinking we wouldn't have to worry if we didn't get home early enough to feed our Miss Bunny Dog. But now I have to monitor the unit constantly so it doesn't dispense more food than she should have daily. Now I wish I had not purchased it. Likes: Doesn't take up much space. Black so no smudges show. Holds a lot of kibble. Don't have to worry about size of kibble (Bunny is a large American Bulldog). Stainless steel bowl, easy to clean. Holder for bowl so it stays put Dislikes: The stupid thing will not dispense food correctly. I have re-set it multiple times but it continues to dispense food too early or too late or decides to do the "slow" distribution of kibble when I haven't programmed it to do that. Hard to understand the menu and to make changes. Hard to read the display, too small and not bright enough. If unplugged have to reset everything and hope you did it right, plus sitting on the floor to reset it is irritating. Top is too difficult to get off, takes 2 hands. Cannot see how much kibble is left in unit. The bowl is tucked too far underneath the unit so my dog has to tilt her head sideways to eat. Because I cannot afford another one I will just grumble and fight this one until one of us dies…Nona
So far, so good. My first auto feeder was a PetMate which worked wonderfully for the longest time…until I put the cats on a diet (they are very "plush"). From that point on it became their mission in life to breach the feeder. I put in several counter measures, bungee cords, velcro, super glue, weighted objects and none could correct the feeder's top heavy design. I gave up trying to rig it to thwart the kitties and bought the PetSafe. Love it's squat, low profile resistant to being bulldozed over by the cats (which they did with the PetMate). I love that you can tailor extra small portions, slow feeding and multiple times a day. The old feeder was very limited to feeding times (only 4 I think), so this is a BIG improvement. It more closely mimics how cats like to eat in the wild – small meals spread out over time. What I hate about it: 1) eats batteries. I purchased the A/C adapter but haven't used it yet because of placement issues. There was no low battery warning, like a beep or red flashing light; it just stopped and I only realized after I got waylaid by a mob of hungry cats. 2) The design that makes it tip resistant also makes it bulky and takes up space awkwardly 3) The little itty bitty stainless steel bowl and attachment. It's barely big enough for one big fat cat head, much less three. It was something I never used because I thought it would encourage fighting over food and I worked very hard so they would harmoniously share the same dish. The PetMate had a better design feature in this respect. I looked into the 3-d printed chute attachment, but I'm reluctant because it looks like it is unwieldy and will only work with kick proof ceramic bowls. 4)ish…like others I had my struggles with the programming and the lcd display. It definitely isn't intuitive for me, but after going through it multiple times to adjust feeding schedules, I think I got the hang of it. No more cat stomping on us at 5:00 or 6:00 every morning (whether it's a weekend or not.) No more having to arrange for someone to feed the cat when we go away for the weekend. Honestly, I love this thing. It has changed out life. You set up the feeding times (up to five of them a day) and the amount of food to disperse, and your cat soon learns not to bother YOU when he's hungry, but to go camp out beside his "robot overlord" and wait for the conveyor belt to start up. It's not too difficult to program either; the instructions are a bit complex, but laid out pretty well in the manual. (There are a few quirks: be aware when you're setting times that that noon is 12:00 am on the keypad. Also, you'll find that it gradually gains time, so that after a month or two the feedings are coming a few minutes earlier that they started; no problem, just reset the time on the clock.) Also, the sound of the food hitting the little metal dish (we call it the "dinner bell") is a little loud, so if it's near your bedroom you might want to put a silicon pad in the bottom of the bowl. The good-sized hopper holds weeks worth of food, and has so far confounded the best efforts of a well-motivated tomcat. It's a bit pricey, but not out of line with other autofeeders I looked at. I received this wheelchair for my dog, surprisingly only a couple of days after I ordered it and on a Sunday no less. I found all the pieces , none were missing and the product indeed looked new, not refurbished. It took me two hours to put this together, adjusting and readjusting and figuring out where to put the shafts of the cart into the harness. Very frustrating. I've put harness' thousands of times on harness racing horses and have never seen a harness like this. I finally figured it out with the help of a man who bought one and had had the same problem. By the.third walk she is thrilled with it, tail wagging and a happy look to her face. She actually wanted to go on a longer walk than the ten minutes, twice a day, indoctrination period, but I decided against it, not wanting to over due. My next step is getting her to put her legs in the hanging straps. She doesn't want to do that at all and stretches the slings down to the ground so she can try and walk with her hind legs. If any of you have any tips, I'd be happy to listen. Bottom line, good quality, lightweight and worth the money.mhami46
We have a 15-year-old husky, and having had a prolapsed disc in his neck 2-years ago, he was left with some hind leg weakness. As he's aged, he struggles to walk very far, so the time came when we thought a cart would help him go further, as mentally he is still really active and wants to do things. I checked reviews on a number of carts, and for the price, this looked and came up best. I saw a seller refurbished one (large), bought it, and it was delivered within 2-days. The cart is very well made – super-impressed for the price. Fairly easy to put together, and it has a comprehensive manual with it. I estimated most of the initial length/height for out lad, put him i it, made a couple of adjustments, and we took him for a trial run yesterday. Initially, we though the sports harness looked a bit evil, but it actually supports them very well and our lad showed no signs of discomfort. He can also be a bit panicky, but once he was in and attached, he just walked off! After the initial trial, I noted it needed to be slightly higher on his back end, so raised it an inch, which is also easy to do. The wheels/tyres are brill! Proper tyres, and not cheap plastic ones, which has to help in different terrain/uneven surface. A few people mentioned it tipping, but I cannot envisage thishappening with our boy, as he's not that fast, and it was bought more to allow him to walk further, as running/fast pace has sadly long gone for him. I could see it happening with a more active dog, however, so that's something to be aware of until they get used to it and how it works with their style of exercise. The first thing I had 2 do was fit and sew all adjustable straps on the front harness to prevent them from slipping. They just kept on coming undone. I also had 2 add additional clip, buckel on harness 4 easier application on the animal. Once I did this the one paw in and one paw out fight stopped. I found that all rubber caps come flying off of unit constantly and u r left with search and desire. With the Rubber caps missing on side arm bars and the front harness adjusted completely down onto the side bars u have trouble maintaining the side arm bars in the harness. Connectors attaching the rear straps to the rear harness bar pulls hair out of the animals tail. With rear leg straps on the animal defecates on themselves. Had 2 put socks on animal and let him drag feet. New problem rear harness has starting to rub animal. Use extream caution product is light weight and will turn over easily. My animal only needed some assistance but once he turned this unit over he lost all mobility in his back legs and I just turned my head 4 a sec. The product is highly priced being that its made of aluminum and all parts bend easily. Now that I have gotten some of the adjustments worked out on this product it is easier on me and my animal. I bought the medium sized kennel for my Shih Tzu. The size is perfect with plenty of room for him to play. The kennel is sturdy with an easy to operate door. The total time to assemble this kennel was about (1) hour (my husband put it together by himself). You will need something to cut the excess wire (the screws on the door need to be cut back before you can cap them off and the wires that connect the fence to the structure need to be twisted and trimmed to avoid injury). The sunshade DOES NOT cover the entire kennel. which I knew about from other reviews. I left the 2 inch gap near the door so I can stick my arm into the kennel and pet my dog while I walk by. This was simple to assemble, and sturdy. The only issues were small: two spots in the chain link fence, the wires didn't weave correctly so there were holes; and the locking mechanism on the gate is very cheap. I don't think I will use the gate mechanism because my dog could easily push it up and open the gate. All the pieces parts were there and it is a very easy to assemble product. Myself and a friend actually had it assembled in 1/2 hour with the exception of the ties to secure the fencing. Piggy is mostly white with very pink skin. His pads of his feet are pink they are turning a little darker as he gets older . He has one eye smaller than the other and has no pupil response in either eye but can see shadows i think from one eye. I was suspecting he was a double Merle . I’d love to send a pic so you could see. His traits that you have said he has appearance wise was not accurate. He does have a touch of Merle coloring on his lower hip and leg. But he’s mostly white and very pink around the eyes and pads of feet even pink nose with a touch of black . I would have never guessed he was related to most of these other breeds. He does however have a look of a American Staffordshire terroir a little. His mom Looked like a Australian Shepherd or boarder collie we think. He was a stray we found when he was only 4lbs and had to be fed with a syringe then bottle. Can a dog mixed with so many other breeds be a double Merle ?Kelly D.
We adopted our family dog from a shelter on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Ever since she was a puppy, she had always displayed peculiar traits that didn't seem to align with the traits of the breeds the shelter had guessed for her. I have serious concerns that the sample for my dog was mixed up with another's. The report stated that my dog is 50% golden retriever (meaning one of his parents was 100% golden) and 13% chow, with the remainder being other breeds. I would expect that if my dog was truly 50% golden retriever, he should look something like a golden retriever. Sam does not. He LOOKS like he should be some variation of a Doberman and Shepherd. He has the coloring of both of those dogs (mostly black with tan/brown accents) has VERY short hair, lanky legs, and a long straight tail. I sent a follow-up email to Wisdom Panel when I first read the results and got no response. I should think that since this is partly scientific research, Wisdom Panel would want feedback when data does not result as expected. I am very upset that I spent my money on this, especially with the lack of customer service when I reported my concerns.Stephanie G.

My dogs were sniffing the floor constantly. With everyone home under the stay-at-home order, their routines were thrown off.
