Beat stuff ever! We have three cats and after one went outside she got fleas and they quickly spread to her sisters. We tried chemical shampoo, but that made one of our cats foam at the mouth. Next we tried dawn, but getting three cats into the tub for a rinse left us with lots of scratches and scared cats. After doing a lot of research we came upon this and let me tell you it did the trick. Because two of the three cats sleep on my daughters bed we had to treat her bed as well as the cats. This stuff is the one and only thing we have found that works. The kitty who had them the worst has a flea collar to help but the other two have been treated with this and a flea comb. We have been using it for about two weeks now every other day with the flea comb, a bowl of hot water with dawn to clean the comb and a vacuum after to catch any who may have gotten away and two of the three cats were flea free today! We will continue to treat all three until their gone and then we’ll use this as a preventative.Kimberd

.So I bought this spray along with the natural care flea and tick shampoo. my poor pups had their first experience with fleas, i didnt know why they were scratching so much (it was also my first experience for fleas) but once i looked through one of my pups fur, i immediately saw three fleas. i went straight to walmart, got my products and treated my pups. i prepared a warm bath, dunked them both into the water, lathered them up really good, let it sit for 6 minutes and i rinsed them. in the bath water, i saw the fleas and i also saw a couple ticks that i didnt know they had lol. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying this, even if you hate minty smells, i would still give this product a shot. no more fleas, ticks, or annoying itching!!!Mikeesha

I have used the collars on my 4 cats after using your all in one flea remedy, I am constantly washing or treating bedding and carpets, have put out flea traps and diatomaceous earth, and have sprayed outside with nematodes that eat fleas…..I have also closed off the outside cat enclosure until the fleas are gone…..even though the traps are now catching very few fleas, the cats are still infested and are miserable. I comb them constantly for fleas, so I still see adults and new fleas, so I can see that the all in one flea remedy is not working…..things seem worse on the cats than before I started. I have just resorted to ordering Seresto collars which I did not want to do, because of toxicity, but I don't have a choice at this stage. I will have to feed them zeolite to help with toxins until the fleas are gone and then I will remove the collars for winter. Can I return the products for a refund? So, this stuff is basically diatomaceous earth in a fancier bottle and with some rosemary and lemon scent, priced WAY above what some plain DE would cost you at the hardware store. (You can get a 5lb bag for the cost of one canister of this). However, I purchased it knowing that, but because I needed to buy something else to get free shipping and I needed DE anyway. The point is, it WORKS. And, the canister this stuff comes in, coupled with the pleasant smell, does make it much easier to use than say the 5lb bag of DE at the hardware store would be. I purchased this along with Herbal Defense Spray and Herbal Defense Shampoo & Conditioner from All Natural Pet, and I've been very happy with the results. About three months or so ago, I was dealing with a mild flea problem that just would not away. It wasn't a severe problem, yet, but I obviously needed to nip it in the bud before it became one. It was to the point where I would find a flea or two on the dog every time I checked. I tried the nasty chemical spot-ons, and not only did they NOT work at ALL, they made our poor Jack Russell Terrier so sick I actually had to rush her to the emergency vet one night because she wouldn't stop throwing up! I didn't realize immediately that the spot-on flea treatments were to blame, and the vet couldn't figure out what was going on, either. But when I put the monthly treatment on her for the second month and she got sick again, it was obvious what was going on. We've been happily flea-free since I started on the All Natural Pet regimen, for a fraction of the cost. I know this because I zealously go over the dog with a fine-toothed comb — literally, it's one of those flea combs — every morning, and haven't found a single one of the little buggers since about a week after starting the natural flea regimen. When I first got this, I put the powder on her, her bed and the carpet in the living room in our bedroom, where she spends the most time, and vacuumed every inch of the house. I washed her with the shampoo and conditoner and sprayed the spray on her several times a week. Since the fleas have disappeared, I use the powder now about every two weeks, the day before I plan on giving her a bath. I spray her maybe once a week. I vacuum at least once a week, but that's also to keep dog hair under control. It's a pretty relaxed regimen but it's definitely working. I have bought five bottles of this so far because I like the product that much. It’s easy to attach to your garden hose and you’re able to treat a large area with one container. I like to use this heavily right on the woods line of my yard and then cover the grass. The ticks are horrible right now in NH and I feel this product really helps control them. The scent is also not overbearing and I actually enjoy it. It smells very natural and dissipates rather quickly. I’ve treated my lawn twice so far this year only because it ended up raining the following day after treatment. Overall, I really like this brand. Really strong. I used a little spot-check in the worst places because of the odor. Peppermint oil is also supposed to be good for rats which we also have this year after 12 years. I used Dr Brimmer's for that & liked it quite a bit. This stuff is really strong so be careful. I had also previously used some ENFORCER powder but that didn't seem to knock them out enough. You can keep spraying this, seems like there's more left over but like I said, it's very strong, be careful. Unfortunately, fleas & rats are abundant this year.Adrienne

I've used this product for almost 3 weeks. And she's got more fleas now than she did to begin with. I gave her a bath and there were what looked like hundreds of fleas in the water. While she was in the water I picked quite a few off of her by hand. Two or three times a week, I get her down and pick them off. It says this product repels, but it really seems like it attracts them! She scratches all the time! And has running sores. I sure hope this stuff is guaranteed!!! Do not give to small dogs especially non spayed females In 2020 gave our 2 small dogs flea away within a month the smallest dog developed swelling and lumps in her mamory gland which quickly developed into cancerous tumor she died within 2mos. The other dog developed the same swelling but it progressed very slowly she now has the same type of growth on her we don't know how long she will live. It can't just be a coincidence.Gayle Erickson

These did not help my dogs when it came to ticks. My dogs live on our farm, so we have no fleas. They were already on a monthly prescription heartworm medication, and have always tested negative. Weve had a recent battle with fleas and how ever many vet standard flea treatments we used they didnt work. we used several very strong toxic products for the house and they didnt seem to do anything apart from make us feel nauseous. Seemingly after a spraying of this stuff it all seemed to stop, the scratching, the headaches. I so wanted this product to work but don't waste your money. I followed the instructions & doused our dog's bedding etc. with this spray. The smell is not unpleasant but it is very, very strong and took days to be bearable. Anyway, a few days later, when we found an engorged tick on the dog (thanks, Frontline) we experimented by putting it in a plastic bag & spritzing the Tropiclean into the baggie. The fleas are annoying my baby. With corona virus, getting to her vet for prescription medication is not an option right now, so I was looking for a very strong AND safe/gentle shampoo to help ease her suffering. I have 2 cats in a 700sq ft condo. One cat was newly adopted and i wasnt aware he had fleas because hes jet black. Within a few days, this place was overrun with them teying to eat me in my sleep. For such a low priced natural spray I honestly was not expecting much. My 15 week indoor cat just recently got fleas unexpectedly. I have hardwood floors and was concerned about what products to use to help completely stop the fleas. This spray almost immediately kills the fleas on impact. The only concern I have about using this product is actually using it on your pet. It was difficult to properly put this product on my cat as he was not fond of the smell or feeling at all. This is a amazing product! It is a Nuisance for one cat, the second cat and one adult is highly allergic to fleas. I take each cat into the shower, and will begin by spraying my hands, and rubbing this onto their feet first, then I will apply to the stomach, the body, then around the chest and neck. Then, I will apply it to the top of their head, and the back of the ears. Once the product is coated, I then rub the product throughout the coat, down to the skin. This is how I start out with my first day each season. Waiting till the following day, I will begin spraying the product directly onto the feet, belly, back, and tail. Next, I will apply to my hands for their chest, neck, and the top of the head. It is very important not to spray the product directly into face, eyes, chest, or to have them breathe it in directly. This is a safe product. A wonderful product. It helps with inflammation, and is soothing to irritated skin. I human owner Love the smell and ease of spray bottle- but, directions say to “turn locking tab” to open – that didn’t work and it took a bit of trying – it was an easy ‘push the button’. Once opened applied as suggested.- my Jack Russells allowed the application then promptly rolled all over the grass to ‘get rid of the smell’. See the videos. Tick season was BAD this year, but even after all the hikes we took our two dogs on, we didn’t have one tick. No issues with fleas either. We spray this if pups are going on a walk and or playing in the yard for an extended time. The smell is wonderful and definitely lingers for a period of time. Not only do we apply this to our dogs, but also ourselves. We were amazed when we went hiking and fishing over the summer and mosquitos were so thick. This is a very nice product and it works very well. We live in NH where there are lots of nasty ticks and this stuff works really well. I rarely find any ticks on my pup. Baxter has longer hair so it does tend to gum up a bit but I find if I give him a really good curry and brush him out really well it actually makes his coat softer without being gummy or greasy. I have 2 65 lbs big dogs and I only use this spray whenever I take them out. Usually sprays 3 times on each side of their body and 2 sprays at the bottom. So far only found 1 tick on my shepherd's body in this summer. It does make their fur a little greasy but nothing can be better than natural ingredients. Highly recommended!iHerb Customer

This product has a unique texture that's more like a runny lotion. I believe it was formulated that way to make it longer lasting. The smell of lemongrass and rosemary is very nice, and my dog doesn't seem to mind it. However, I wouldn't recommend it for white dogs as it can stain fur. My mostly white pup had become yellow in places. Which is too bad. I was starting to become partial to this brand and their products. I can't comment on the effectiveness, since I had to stop using it due to the staining.iHerb Customer

This is interesting. The texture is like a gel spray and really sticks to the fur when dried down. I recommend taking a flea comb and combing it through your pets fur. I have taken my dog on some hikes in the forest and have found not one tick or flea on her! This actually does work if you are thorough with it. After purchasing at Walmart Smyrna, TN, we used the flea and tick shampoo on our 8 month old golden retriever. Upon ending his bath we noticed he was bleeding and we rushed him to the animal hospital. Upon arriving we learned these products fully BURNED our puppies skin. I am disgusted by their tag line “powerful products you’ll recognize” — your products are so powerful you singed my poor dog. Now after a heafty vet bill our dog is under care for the next two weeks and we are left hoping he heals safely. DO NOT BUY!Barbara

This shampoo works pretty well. It washed away the fleas. It's for the sake of killing fleas not necessarily repelling them. If you like natural treatments using lavender oil as preventative measure can help with that. We got a very young pup infested with fleas and the fleas left sores on the poor pup. After a wash of this you could already tell the sores were looking much better and the fleas were falling off. I wish I took before and after photos of the dog. It cleaned the pup up pretty well and smells good too. We also got the flea drops so doing that tomorrow.sarah.b

I like this product. It works very well when sprayed directly on infected areas , i.e; carpets and bedding. Most Walmart stores don't carry this product where I live. I found it by chance at a store I had never shopped at and decided to try it out. I couldn't find it again when I wanted to get more so I looked it up on line and then decided to order 4 more bottles from Walmart on line. A partial order (one bottle) took a week and a half to get to the store closer to where I live and it had leaked out half its contents. A refund was given. Never heard about the other bottles but will check my bank statement to see if it I was charged for it. I still like this product but will have to drive out of my way to pick it up at the other Walmart in another city. It has a pleasant smell, is all natural and comes in powder, shampoo, and spray form. I have tried the shampoo and spray and purchased to powder too. Let me begin by saying my dogs have never had fleas. Even when I would forget to apply flea treatment on time, they still would not have fleas. I decided to try this product, because it was more economical than others I'd used. This has proven to be a mistake. We have a house of pets including cats and a dog along with carpeted bedrooms. This means during the Spring and Summer we have to clean and vacuum daily and keep on top of flea prevention otherwise it is a nightmare! Anyone with pets and carpets understands. Since we live in the South very few flea products actually work for our animals and I’m not sure why, but it has to do with the fleas and immune to so many products. I gave PetAction Plus for Cats and PetAction Plus for Dogs a try and kept my fingers crossed. When this arrived one of my cats was starting to scratch – whether flea related or just an itch I’m not sure, but with it being that time of the year I wasn’t taking any chances and immediately put a dose on her as directed by the packaging (on the skin between the shoulder blades). So far since putting it on I have not seen her scratch once. I also made sure to apply a dose to the other cats who were due for their flea prevention and the dog as well. Again, no scratching. While it’s still early in the season to see just how well the product really works, so far I’m seeing promising results. The prevention is easy to apply and there is no odor. I have tried numerous flea and tick treatments and still would see a flea here and there. Living in a place where the weather is warm year round fleas are really bad. I was feeling like I was not going to find something that worked and was affordable. Specially since I have 4 dogs and 1 cat. I would feel so bad because my one Yorkie is allergic to flea bites and some of the products the fleas could still bite them. I even wrote a few companies asking about their product. I really like the scale and cleanse starter kit that I got for my Keurig. Once in a while it just makes sense that i descale my machine, especially because I have hard water in my area. It develops a scale that coats the inside of the machine and is obviously going to affect the taste. Using the scale kit was really easy. It was a matter of putting the packet into my machine's reservoir, adding three cups of water and running it through the Keurig. Then I had to run clean cups of water through the Keurig until it was cleaned out. And after that the water was fresh and clean. I also took a chance while I was at it and cleaned my coffeemaker at the same time, I felt like it was a good idea to do everything all at the same time so that I knew that it all been done. Thanks to Hartz Insiders, I was gifted this Hartz Nature's Shield Flea Tick Home Spray, complimentary, in exchange for my honest review. I have 2 small dogs and 1 young adult cat. I was thrilled to find out I would be receiving this product because my husband and I were telling each other just days prior, that we were noticing fleas on the pets and furniture, when we couldn't ever really recall seeing them previously, at least nothing significant or overbearing. This spray is very subtle and the smell doesn't linger, no staining or changes to the appearance of the surface area sprayed. I believe this product did seem to help for very minor flea cohabitation, such as ours. I wonder how well the spray would work for more significant flea infestations. But I have definitely not seen even just one flea on my furniture since beginning to use this flea tick home Spray!blair.g

I received Hartz Nature's Shield Flea and Tick Home Spray as a promotion. My house has a huge yard. There are a lot of trees and shrubs that attract wildlife. That can be heaven for ticks and fleas. Deer ticks are a real issue where I am. I sprayed Hartz Nature's Shield Flea and Tick Home Spray all around my yard. I was so glad that it is made with Cedarwood and Lemongrass oils and isn't toxic. It is safe for my dog, and it can also be used indoors wherever your dog happens to snuggle. It does not have a chemical smell, so I don't mind spraying it everywhere. It is not mosquito season yet. I am looking forward to using it around my outside bar instead of using dozens of smelly citronella candles and torches! To be continued…j105w

I was on frontline for years but when I thought I saw a couple fleas on my dogs in September 2020, I decided to make a switch to Advantage II for my cats and Advantix II for my dogs— BIGGEST mistake of my life (seriously, like over any horrible exes). I have $515.97 in receipts I submitted to the company (which was as horrible as the experience, which I will get to) and spent an additional $70 in store (in which I cannot find the receipt) since September 2020 to December. I followed every tip on the website and insert and my animals were still covered. I applied perfectly. I applied initially weekly, vacuum daily, steam cleaned, wash bedding constantly, etc. I don’t even have carpet but on the stairs and have treated the stairs and couches with Predcor. I even bought those flea traps with the sticky bottoms. I am not including any of this in that total I spent– that was all on the flea medications themselves for the 6 animals. I have saved some, not all, of the vials so on 11/13 I called Elanco. They denied my request for any type of refund. They questioned my exact dosage dates and frequency more than a doctor wants to know about your menstrual cycles but I took my best guesses, for all 6 animals although I did know what schedule they were on but didn't have it in front of me. Then they said that the product was probably not working because I bathed my dogs initially at the beginning 48 hours before application?? Their website TELLS you to bathe them before application (see 2nd screenshot posted)! I stopped bathing them after the 2nd application as it wasn't working and the dogs were miserable and only tried 2 cats (and really only 1 successfully because we all know how that goes). They then told me that I didn't give the product long enough?? Their website states (see 3rd screenshot) and is the same for Advantage II "K9 Advantix® II kills fleas within 12 hours. New fleas that jump on the dog from the surroundings, such as grass, carpet and pet bedding, are killed within 2 hours with protection against further infestation for at least 4 weeks." I tried their products, $600 worth on 6 animals, as scheduled, no missed doses for 4 months. I can’t blame it on just one animal or one batch—it didn’t work on 6, or one batch! I am very upset. Not only have I wasted money on these but I have bought corresponding products, sprays for the beddings, flea traps, etc. I FINALLY called Terminex and had to spend 12 hours clearing out under my beds, closets, getting everything off my floors, moving furniture etc. (time I will never get back) and getting my children and pets out of the house and went back to the brand that works: FRONTLINE! NO MORE FLEAS– what I should have done in the first place. I am so upset not by the fact that the product didn't work but by the way the company handled it, dodging any responsibility from blaming it on the baths they recommend to the length of time I gave it when they could have just refunded me and had someone that isn't going to not only post this review every place I bought it (not just here) but every other place that allows a review to include social media.Intelhottie

We bought Advantix liquid application anti-flea and tick treatment because it is effective, was less expensive and did not require a prescription. We had easily and successfully used liquid Advantix for years with our Plott hound mix. We now have a beagle. Beagle hair is different; it's thick, coarse, oily, kind of water proof and difficult to part in order to properly apply the liquid to the skin. Advantix is a very good product, but pet owners may want to assess their pet's coat to determine how the liquid application could be applied.Gary

My dog was getting ticks so I purchased this. I have used it in the past with great success when it had the Bayer logo on it . The one I received has the Elanco brand logo on it. I used 1 bottle and It was like I used nothing at all. Mind you I walk my dog and when he comes in the house I would find 2 or 3 live ticks walking on him. So I figured ok maybe it didnt work or I didnt wait long enough. After about 10 days of this I applied another bottle and again nothing. He still kept coming in the house with ticks every time. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on but the package I received appeared to be authentic. All serial numbers matched and packages were sealed well. Never had this happen before but definitely going back to Frontline Plus.kschoern

I bought this for my small dogs. I have one white schnauzer and it stained her the color of butter bright yellow. I didn't notice it on my salt and pepper schnauzer, but on my laphsa it stained him a yellow tint also. The product only worked a few days and the smell was a strong cinnamon smell very overbearing. Would never buy again. Currently have a stained dog hopefully fades soon.Dogmamma20233

Walmart only had the large size. I bought it for my under 10 lb dog. I used half of the applicator. Within a couple days I found three fleas. I then washed her and put the rest of the applicator on her. now I find that it has turned her hair and orangy brown. I would be very careful if you have a white dog. If they have thin or shaved hair, it will be very obvious that it is oily also. Since it doesn't work and it turned her brown I would not recommend this product. I looked on their website and they did not caution about this. However, on the good side she now smells like Christmas!PaintyOne

Bought this and the collars through this brand. I have three small dogs and recently they just got fleas. It wasn’t bad I only seen a few on them. So I decided to try both this and the collars since they’re not as strong as the more expensive stuff. I gave them all a flea bath put the collars on them and then the drops and I already found 2 fleas on my one dogs and now their all scratching like crazy worse then they were before. Im starting to think the fleas are attracted to this stuff. I’m highly disappointed because I spent to much money on all this stuff for it not to even work but to just make the problem worse.Kay

Does what it is made to do which is kills fleas. The major pros to this flea medication is: price, clean (as in no harmful chemicals and whatnot), and ease of application. Although I can't find any cons to this product I will say that this product DOES NOT help with flea infestations and/or prevention of fleas. This product simply kills the fleas your dog already has but does not kill eggs or larvae. If you are needing a monthly topical to keep fleas off your dog, I would go for this. If your dog already has fleas and you need something to kill and prevent more fleas, I would opt for something else!danilssa.h

To begin with, every spring fleas are everywhere around here even thou we treat all areas. I received this before the fleas begin or very few. I have used this on my elder dogs without any complications, breathing, itching etc. I am pleased with the results, its April and fleas are very minimum and dying out. Overall I am very pleased with the ingredients and the outcome. I would purchase this and I will continue to use this and now my neighbors are also purchasing some.panther b

I used this on a puppy that I just recently rescued that had fleas. It is easy to apply and smells of peppermint. Within a few days puppy was flea free with no itching and scratching with no skin irritation. I love that this uses all natural ingredients to kill fleas, flea eggs and ticks. I will continue using this during the spring and summer months to prevent flea infestation. I no longer worry about my kids getting harmful chemicals on them as I did with other flea remedies.BrendaC66

I am iffy on flea treatments. The reviews almost made me not get this. But I got it. Along with a natural spray. I decided to do each cat one day and the next day do them again. So here’s my results. My first short hair, when I brushed her after the first treatment she had quiet a few fleas. The second treatment, nothing came back on the comb. All gone. For my bigger short hair cat, I did one treatment, and she had fleas… still not able to do the second treatment on her as she runs away in terror like the treatment is going to murder her. My last cat, is a medium/long hair cat, I brushed the most fleas out of him before treatment. I brushed more after treatment. I did a second treatment and brush MORE off of him. I’m not blaming the product. Blaming his fur coat. He has more for them to hide in, so he’s going to be more work. I don’t think the short hair need it again, but he might. So yes, this works, but be sure to spray ur house after every wash of this waterless foam bath. So if they jump off of your pet, they still die ! I didn’t give it 5 stars, only because it’s more work to get it into long hair cats! But I would say, follow instructions and it will work!Panda

Applying this product was so messy. It got all over my cats back and shoulders. It smelled awful and it took over a week to completely absorb into my cats skin and fur. Then my cat had an allergic reaction to it. It was red and scabbed up between his shoulder blades where I applied it. I only used 1 out of the pack and will be throwing the rest away. As far as actual flea prevention, I don't believe it helped at all. I do not recommend this product.addie.e

My cats are mainly indoor cats but I do take them on leash walks a few times a week. I absolutely love this product. The packaging suggests applying over a week if needed which worked great. I have a medium hair cat and was able to apply one tube in one go. I also have a cornish rex and with his shorter hair is was nicer to apply over a few different days. I have bought five bottles of this so far because I like the product that much. It’s easy to attach to your garden hose and you’re able to treat a large area with one container. I like to use this heavily right on the woods line of my yard and then cover the grass. The ticks are horrible right now in NH and I feel this product really helps control them. The scent is also not overbearing and I actually enjoy it. It smells very natural and dissipates rather quickly. I’ve treated my lawn twice so far this year only because it ended up raining the following day after treatment. Overall, I really like this brand. It’s safe to use around my children and pets while keeping ticks and bugs at bay naturally. I would definitely recommend this product.Acira27

Really strong. I used a little spot-check in the worst places because of the odor. Peppermint oil is also supposed to be good for rats which we also have this year after 12 years. I used Dr Brimmer's for that & liked it quite a bit. This stuff is really strong so be careful. I had also previously used some ENFORCER powder but that didn't seem to knock them out enough. You can keep spraying this, seems like there's more left over but like I said, it's very strong, be careful. Unfortunately, fleas & rats are abundant this year.Adrienne

This definately killed all the fleas on my dog right away. I have a bichon poo and so he has long fluffy fur. This left his fur so soft. The soap itself is very watery and lots just goes down the drain. However, it did work up a good lather unlike what some reviews have said. Bad news is, it does not repel fleas from my experience. Fleas still jump on him and stay. So, I sprayed my yard and house. As well as get him an all natural flea collar repellent. I would much rather use this wash that a Capstar. It worked fast and did kill the fleas on him.M. A.

We purchased this shampoo, as our Rottweiler was very itchy at night. Prior to buying this, I asked how long would this shampoo work? The shampoo works immediately. Essentially it kills any live fleas on the dog, however, this shampoo is not made to continue fighting fleas days later. You need to invest in getting your dog on a flea treatment program to combat ongoing flea issues. As a first time user of this shampoo, I can see my dog is scratching less, and appears to be much more comfortable. I'll be using this shampoo going forward.Mommas_Rottie

This works! I was using an all natural shampoo but my poor puppy needed more help. Shes too young for a flea medication so I used this once a week and in between used the natural flea shampoo. Fleas fell off in sink. I gain a sense of satisfaction when I wash them down the drain. But you need to keep it lathered on pet for a few minutes at least before rinsing off.
