We had originally started giving him the single bully sticks, but found that he could eat a whole 12" single stick in about ten minutes tops. I wish that these would stay braided until the end. Once they come apart we take it away from our pup so that he doesn't swallow the pieces. With the current deal of a percentage off with in store pick up, these are a great deal! We had tried buying other brands but found that other brands were much thinner and not as good of a value. In general, bully sticks are expensive, but from my online research, it seems like bully sticks are the best chew for dogs, as they don't splinter and are more digestible, so we find that these are well worth it and will keep buying them. I ordered these bully sticks in reliance on the online photo of the package, showing 3 equally thick braided bully sticks. I received a package with one significantly slimmer than the other two. Still relying on that photo, I figured it was a fluke and gave this a second chance. I ordered a second package. Contents were exactly the same. Had a rather long chat with customer service. I said I thought it would be fair if they refunded one of the other packages or send me a complementary package. Agent refused to do that and is contacting the manufacturer. I love bully sticks and so does my American Bully Ozzy. Safer than raw hide and something to keep him busy. For him it's his high reward treat during training and he can't get enough of them. It as great until someone stole the rest of them, I'm trying to give these to one dog and others to other dogs so their chewing intensity would even out. Unfortunately, they all want what *he* got or what *she* got. you should update your lists below to allow for multiple selections. Our three-year-old female is a power chewer! It is always an exciting time each week when she receives her 12 inch giant bully stick, and at first carries it around in her teeth with great pride. Not only is it a healthy desirable treat for our dog, it helps keep her teeth as white as pearls. She can tear through a giant bully stick in one evening, and it never takes her more than two days to finish it. One of the great tricks that I have learned to extend the life of our bully stick, if you snap on a pair of vise grips as it gets harder for her to hold and helps extend the life of the life of the bully stick without risking that she will chew it down to a size so small it could be swallowed. I first saw a Staffordshire bull terrier in England in 1977. I knew right away that I wanted that dog and I asked the owner what was the breed. I found my first book store and purchased a book about the breed. When we first got back to the states I immediately started looking for a Staffy. Unfortunately, I quickly realized they were $2000. At that time the American pitbull terrier had not gained it’s awful reputation and so that’s what we ended up with. Just a wonderful dog to raise our children with. Over the years, we included five American Staffordshire Terriers to the family. When the last of them passed a couple of years ago I think we decided not to get another dog. However, when you are a dog family, you are a dog family. After living 40 years in the same home with a fenced in yard we moved to a home association that although are individual homes you are unable to fence in your yard. There is also a weight limit of 40 pounds. Finally, we had the reason and the financial ability to get a Staffordshire bull terrier. The breeder of the dog suggested jumbo bully sticks. I was a bit surprised at the cost at first, but the advantages far outweigh the cost. Our female can go through a jumbo 12 inch bully stick in two day. She is so satisfied with the taste and chew, and we are totally satisfied with the whitest teeth in town. They also have the extra protein that an active dog needs. On almost a daily basis, out female walks with me 20 to 30 miles a week in addition to a rope pull and catching the frisbee. We do not get the odorless jumbo 12 inch by stick as we are not offended by the odor of the regular version. My dogs seem to enjoy these dog treats. But, I must admit there are not many treats that they will turn down. They are about six inches long and about 1/2 inch wide. I tried to cut them in half for my smaller inside dogs, but they just won't cut short of using a saw. Anyway, I feed them to my large outside dogs. They are "stinky", but the dogs think they are just fine. They are 100% natural and made out of beef pizzle. If you don't know what that is you can go look it up. It does say on the back of the package not to allow your dog to swallow large pieces as blockage could occur. I believe this is a common warning on most dog chews. I have been buying these bully sticks for a long time. The ones my local store just got in were huge and I thought that was awesome. Until today when my dog got it stuck in her esophagus. It took the ER Vets hours before they could get it out and almost were not able to. My dog’s esophagus is now damaged and it cost me $4,000. Your company needs to stop making bully sticks of this diameter. It’s eventually going to cost a dog their life. And my dog is a large breed.Cory B.

Please advise. Advertising states made in the USA. There were two stickers attached to the bag. One states Sourced and Manufactured in the USA. The Other states product o fUSA, Produce of South America and Europe. \nAlthough S. America and Europe have higher standards for their pet treats than other nations, I still worry. As I almost lost a puppy to a Chinese treat, I only buy puppy treats from the USA.

You might want to check out my review on the other major brand of rawhide chews for a product comparison. I have a Cocker Spaniel and he likes both major brands. This brand overall is much thicker and heavier than the other one. I think larger dogs or heavy chewers would prefer the Clenz-a-dent because they would last a bit longer. These chewies are enzyme-treated to "help keep teeth clean" and I think they may chew up a bit faster and easier than plain rawhide. Keep an eye on your dog when he has a rawhide treat-sometimes your dog will try to swallow it when the rawhide is still too big and then you have to pull it back out. Bottom line: I think larger dogs and aggressive chews would like Clenz-a-dent over the other brand. Other than that, the enzymes and treatment are the same.vvickib54

I was really excited about these. My Golden Retriever loves bully sticks so when I saw these in bilk figured I'd try them. They come in a giant plastic clear garbage bag. The odor of them is about the most disgusting thing I've ever smelled. We needed to remove them from the house and ut them in a container in the the garage. As far as the main event, she chews and eats each one up in 2-3 minutes. I thought they were like the dense texture of a bully stick, but it's thin and aerated and thus easily devoured. Spent almost $100 on these and smell aside, if they were something she chewed and lasted, I could past the wretched smell. But cheap dog treats from the grocery store last longer than these.John

This product is very good. The quality is very uniform, low odor and consistant throughout. The sticks are just as they are described, thin but durable, highly digestable and long lasting for most dogs, my dogs go through them quickly but still long enough to be more satisfying than just training treats, they relax and settle down and enjoy the chew. I have bought several brands of these and this is by far the best one that has pleased my dogs, lasted longer and are consistently the size the package states. They do stink but my experience has been that the smellier they are the more the dogs love it! It is a repulsive smell so I would advise against letting them on the furniture with it and wash your hands after touching them as your hands will smell. I tolerate this because at 5.00 per pop you want quality, a safe product for your pup and want them to last a bit. I have bought brands that our Toy Aussiedoodle demolished in less than a day but I get the large and she is an aggressive chewer so they last up to 2 days for each stick sometimes. We also have a chi that likes the large sticks and they last him quite awhile! Please always take any treat from your pet when it gets too small. These can easily choke them to death if they fit it in their mouth.Sarah
Not only am I happy with these treats, the little guys are, & they can be finicky about these things. Of course, presentation is an important key, but you know your pups more than anyone else. Our little guys took to these gnaws very quickly. Way faster than a few of the other treats that we have tried before. Being able to chew on something is important to them, to dogs in general. Sometimes it helps with their chewing on other things, or destroying toys. Sometimes, it's just good for their teeth & well being. Sometimes I just like giving them a cool treat. I can't tell you anything about taste, & they don't smell like anything to me, really, but the guys love them & that does say a whole bunch. Like all of the furry friends, they like to socialize when you're eating, & giving them a nice crunchy treat is a great thing for them. These are hard treats, not soft. They are also not uniform in thickness, just length. Be careful when they eat them. You can cut them I pieces, but certainly would want to use some kitchen shears to be safe. As with anyone, I'm concerned about toxic chemicals & manufacturer of origin for them. I can't find the country of origin on the package, only the distributor. These NatureGnaws bully sticks are a great option to get for your dog if he or she is a tough chewer. It seems like bully sticks are the only things that can keep them occupied for longer than 15 minutes. In fact, my dog usually chews a bully stick for around 30 minutes or so, so it ends up being a great investment. As far as the quality of these bully sticks, my dog seems to love them. Granted, she loves pretty much everything, so that's not the best way to determine how good it is. As far as bully sticks in general go, I've tried ones from Costco and Chewy.com, and I would say, the ones from Chewy are the least smelliest of them all. These NatureGnaws ones are similar in smell to the ones from Costco. They don't smell bed at first, but once the dog starts chewing on them for a while, the odor comes gushing out. But if you're used to the bully sticks smell, then this shouldn't be a problem. These bully sticks are also about 2 inches shorter in length than ones from Costco. That doesn't make them bad or anything, but it does mean your dog will be finished with it sooner.Emir

This is the first time I've bought bully sticks, otherwise known as pizzles, so I cannot compare these to those supplied by other manufacturers. My Boston, who is not very treat driven, can take them or leave them. The Lab loves them. They cost about $2 each, and last a couple days for the Boston, and about 10 – 15 minutes for the Lab. They seem to be an adequate size – bigger than a carpenter's pencil – maybe almost as wide as a big marker. They were pretty consistent in size. They also have a nasty odor, but since the Lab ate them so quickly, it wasn't much of a problem. But if you have a dog like my Boston, you may not want this treat lying around the house for days. And you will want to store them in a container where the odor doesn't leak out. I bought these because a dog owner's book said they are safer for dogs than rawhide. That alone may make the cost worthwhile.Susantoo
These chews are great and have occupied my chew-happy puppy, preventing her from trying to bite me or the furniture. I didn't realize when I purchased them that they'd be as large as they are. They're probably a good size for a fully grown dog or a larger puppy, but they're massive for my 9 week old Maltipoo. She's been working on the same stick for a week and barely made a dent in it. It took about 5 days before she could chew into it enough to be able to even hold it in her mouth without my assistance. The size of these sticks means the package will go far, but they're less fun for my puppy than a smaller chew that she can bite more easily.mg10
We loved our previous orders of the 36” bully sticks and when they were out of stock we opted to go with the 30” ones. Recognizing the length difference, we were disappointed how quickly theses were consumed. They did not have the thickness of the longer ones. We will not reorder the 30” ones anymore if we cannot get the longer ones and will have to look elsewhere. However, as long as the 36” are available, we will be a happy customer!Pat M.
