I read all of the reviews so I decided to give it a try for my 10 year old Pitt Bull. He wasn’t his spunky self for 2 months. He was slow getting up even for his treats. Arthritis was slowing him down in his hips. I picked this up today and gave him 1 pill and within a couple of hours he was back to his old self. His eyes were smiling and his tail was wagging happily. He ran up and down the stairs with ease, where just this morning he was slow moving. Bought this yesterday for my 6 year old maltipoo because he has back pain from time to time due to ivdd. Vet wasn’t in and the hospital was booked. Emergency room costs a fortune. So with no prescription, I decided to give this a try. My lil fur baby was in so much pain, he was trembling and wouldn’t eat (understandably so). I gave him a 1/2 one in the car and about an hour later gave him another half cause he still seemed to be in pain…next thing i knew he was eating like crazy lol!!!! He stopped trembling, so I believe that this worked accordingly…so far so good. Only thing, I think it makes him kind of drowsy. That’s good though because he needs to rest that back for a few weeks. I don't usually leave reviews, but Im really pleased with this product so far. We have a 14 year old toy pomeranian. She wasn't putting any weight on her back left leg due to arthritis. Its only been 5 days and we've been giving her 1/4 to 1/2 pill with her meal only at night. The change is totally noticeable. She has more energy and is getting around so much better! This Gel is NOT just for horses. I was having a terrible pain in my shoulder radiating down to my elbow in my right arm from a car accident years ago (arthritis). The gel did wonders. Although this product is labeled veterinary liniment and recommended for animals only, I have used it for years for joint and arthritis pain upon the recommendation by my Hollywood Stuntmen friends as the only thing they use. I was pleasantly surprised at the immediate relief felt so have continued to use it since for my personal use and have referred it to many friends who also have become consistent users of this gel product. I prefer the gel since it applies more easily without a mess. I must caution however not to rub your eyes after application until after you have thoroughly washed your hands (and no that is not a word of caution based on personal experience…lol). I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. You can continue every other day for another 2 weeks.Cricketoes

I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. Im not a vet but am thinking whatever it was it was some type of fungal infection. Benefits of product; it wasnt expensive, was easy to apply, and has a light pleasant scent.Debbie

I am so thankful to have found this today! My poor dog could not stop scratching and licking under his front legs, and they were raw and bleeding. He was whimpering but would not stop. I came home and sprayed the areas with this, and he didn’t freak out like I thought so I know it didn’t hurt! He became calm and only tried to lick a few times before he relaxed and rested. About 6 months ago, my cat, who has feline leukemia, stopped eating, was constantly vomiting, sleeping, and cringed whenever I touched her. She would still come in and sleep on me, but had no energy and whimpered a lot. When I found out that she had leukemia, the vet led me to believe I could make her as comfortable as best I could, or look into euthanizing her. I spent hours searching online for possible medicines that I could give her, even considering some pretty ridiculous and potentially stupid cure options. I found this and used it in conjunction with a Pedialyte and baby food mixture fed to her with syringe. Within 2 weeks, she was eating dry food again, running around with the other cats, and even more energetic than she'd been in the months leading up to this crisis. This was one of the treatments prescribed by my avian vet for my Cockatoo with numerous health problems. This is mainly used for his neurological issues. It seems as though his seizures are less. I don't know if there would be a difference without, but I totally trust in my vet's recommendations.Karen

My pups, across numerous litters, never take this formulation like they do when I buy it at the vet's. The vet solution is thicker and smells line banana and the pups love it. Also the price on pyrantel pamoate has tripled across the board over the past five years for no apparent reason. Looks like orice fixing to me.Kflakey

I use to really like this product and had used it for quiet some time with our pets and litters of pups. At first it worked very well but as time went on it seemed to become less effective. Considering the price of such a little bottle I expect it to work and be efficient, but sadly it seems this product no longer produces the results it's suppose to produce.christina.n

I give my puppy this. He is 10 weeks old and is a lab and had mange and worms when we got him. We started him on this medicine and within a week he was much better and he loves this medicine. Hairballs are the devil! My baby boy Buttons, was suffering tremendously. We took him to our vet on numerous ocassions where he was given very strong laxatives. Though it worked all the time, my Buttons has a very sensitve tummy Lax'Aire helps him expel the hair in his digestive tract and eliminates the throwing up that otherwise occurs. This works great for our 16 year old tuxedo cat. She is still able to groom herself however she gets frequent hair balls and this helps her expel it. She also has scoliosis of the spine in which she is given meds to help alleviate her pain but causes constipation. Our previous vet started us on this and it works great especially if you use it either 2 hours after eating or 10 minutes before feeding. I hope Pfizer doesn't do something crazy again and stop producing this product because it works much better than the others we have tried.cyn

No problems giving the Laxaire. It must taste really good! Essential for all cats, so that the fur that they swallow when grooming, passes through their systems. Also, it is good for elderly cats who might have a little problem with constipation occasionally.Mary A.

Purchased this product with not much confidence made a huge difference in my GSD allergies. Sprayed on the area he was chewing when he would begin chewing. It gave him instant relief, he now comes to get the area sprayed when he chews. I am going to use the same product which is an ointment to see how well it does. Rosebud was biting at her nether parts due to itching. This applied liberally relieved her jitters. I got this because we had two other dogs several years ago who were both affected by itching in different doggy-parts (stomach, behind, etc) and I used a similar product for them which also worked well. I believe a Hot Spot Anti-itch Spray is an essential for any dog's care kit. This product does the job to ease a dpog's constant itching well.MarkD2

My 10 year old cat was literally dying because she could not eat and was getting too weak to drink. She was getting palliative, hospice type care but I didn't want her to starve to death. I searched for high calorie nutritionally sound feline supplemental food that required the smallest amount to compensate for her lack of eating. I came across this and decided to give it a try. My cat was so sick I had to use a feeding syringe to get it into her but she tolerated it and sure enough it was enough to get her to gain weight and strength and start eating again best she can. Turns out she has Horner's Syndrome and half her face is paralyzed. Without this she would have died. I'm so thankful I found this product. I take care of feral cats and I Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) them in order to decrease the cat population in my neighborhood. When spaying a female cat, you have to keep them for at least 4 days for them to appropriately heal and have the affects of the anesthesia to wear off completely. One of the ferals that I trapped was a skin-and-bones female that was really too young to be having the kitten she was towing around with her. So I trapped her and her only surviving female kitten, had them both fixed and proceeded to "Fatten them up" and have them heal completely. "Under the Weather" Ready-Cal was the perfect supplement to give to both mamma and baby while they healed. I kept mamma in my care for one month because she was so pathetically thin. In that month, Mamma's coat changed from a rusty brown to a glossy black. She gained weight to where you could no longer feel her ribs poking through her fur. She did not like indoor life AT ALL and could not be socialized or handled, so she was released back to her outdoor home. I continue to feed Mamma every day, even built her an outdoor heated shelter in my fenced in yard. She is very content now. She now loves people, but cannot be picked up off the ground or lifted, but allows petting and head scratches. As for her kitten, she socialized very well, is awesome at vet visits and handling, and doubled in size very quickly because of the added Ready-Cal supplement and gained weight at a rate of 1lb/month. Her blood work came back from the vet as perfect. She was de-wormed, de-fleaed, and now is added to our family as a "foster-fail" which means that she is just too stinking cute to adopt out, so I kept her as part of our family. Under the Weather "Ready-Cal" is now expected on their food during all feedings. If I put their wet food down without the Ready-CAL supplement they sniff it as something is not quite right with the food. Once I apply it to the food, they lick the brown calorie-dense "goop" (as my husband calls it) off the top of the food first, then they dig into and eat the rest. I do not feel that the kitten and Mamma cat would have recovered so fully and have such good health now if it was not for the Ready-Cal supplement. I continue to give Mamma cat the supplement every day because she is an outdoor cat, and they burn more calories being outside. It's quite expensive, but seeing how healthy she is, makes it all worth it.Kaleigh

My little chihuahua will not eat her Pet Fresh food with this ground up in the food. I cut the tiny pink pill in half and crushed it into her bowl. She will smell her food and walk away, so this has not worked for her itchy problem. The pills might work for other breeds, but not for me. You will just have to order it and see, but maybe order one bottle instead of the pack of three.karen

I've been using it since the 90's – long before Tea Tree oil was main stream in the US. It works so well and I happen to like the smell. I've actually used it on me for poison oak because that's all I had in the medicine cabinet. It is very soothing and helps dry up yucky skin – or poison oak blisters. I love that it's anti fungal, anti bacterial as well as anti itch. Those with itchy dog experience are painfully familiar with secondary skin infections from dogs biting their itchies!! Waste of money! Vet's best dog hot spot itch relief is TERRIBLE! One of the worst, strongest smelling chemicals I've ever smelled! He normally trusts what I put on him and he's fine with it, I sprayed this a cpl times and we both were trying to run from it! It smelled SO bad for so long I had to bath him, we couldn't stand it anymore. I bet this stuff could kill bed bugs and roaches too! I am glad I read the reviews on this product. They helped me to decide to give it a try. I have a dog with severe skin allergies. He is on premium dog food. He gets wiped off every time he come in from outside. I still was having problems with him biting or scratching himself raw. I have tried several other natural products but this seems to be the only one that gives him much relief. I do have to spray him several times a day, but it is worth it not to have him scratching. We use Quiet Moments for an 80 lb Catahoula Leopard dog. Prescription meds from the vet made her aggressive so we tried Quiet Moments. We only give her at most 1 tablet at a time, far lower then the recommended dose on the bottle for her weight, and it works wonderfully through thunderstorms or a night of fireworks. It takes about 20 minutes to start working. It must taste good because she will eat it no matter how hard she's shaking or panting. I highly recommend trying it!Elaine315

I have two pups who are scared of storms and fireworks. I can give this supplement after it's already storming and the clinginess and shivers have set it, and within 20 minutes (not exaggerating) they are sleeping/resting and no longer shaking. Our vet suggested this because my dog is very anxious, and will lick until he's made a hot spot. My kitten was stress licking, and breaking her hair, but not causing skin redness like the dog. We got this and I thought "eh, it wont work, but lets give it a try" and OH MY WORD, I have two happy, significantly less anxious, if even anxious at all, companion animals. I love it. My dog used to ruin toys, and eat anything he could when he would get stressed out, he just doesn't do it any more. I just bought this item for my 14 year old malti-poo and the pill is so huge that even if I crush it up and disguise it he spit it out. Unless the company can make smaller size pill then I will not purchase this item again. My dog had an uncoordinated walk, she would trip and lose her balance at times. Her rear limbs were her weakest. I used many other products that contained glucosamine/chondroitin etc for a while but didn't seem to help much, maybe prevented it from getting worse. I bought this as a gift for my uncle. He's a big man and has edema in his legs. So I have a beabull, mostly English bulldog. He’s a 7/8 mix. Out of nowhere his cute little black nose started getting crusty and cracked. I waited a while and it didn’t let up. A friend said there was nothing you could do but I found this online. I didn’t think it would work but we are on day four and his nose is DRASTICALLY improved. He hates when I put it on (he does that with everything ever though) so I have to put some peanut butter on a spoon and have him lick it after I apply it to his nose or he’ll just lick it right off his nose. I bought this for my dog’s (14 year old Shar Pei) keratin buildup on his nose and paws. It dissolved the stuff great and I was able to wipe off the stuff on his paws after one application. That was really impressive. My dog has fairly mild Hyperkeratosis but his nose gets a fairly thick layer of buildup, and this product allows you to remove it fairly easily after a few applications over a couple days and a cooperative pooch. I was really impressed with how well it worked. I use it now preventatively which prevents bad buildup on his nose and paws, so all in all I’m certainly a big fan. I recommend at least the 2oz can if you think you’ll use it on the paws. The 2 oz can generally lasts me a couple months even with multiple applications per day. When I ordered it was the only one that came up and now when I look for these there are like 5 different ones. Starting to not like this website. I never trust myself when I cut my dogs nails! Having this stuff on hand is definitely needed and gives me more confidence even though I rarely need it. But knowing myself (and with my luck), if I did not have this, I would be googling ways to get blood out of carpets! Such a lifesaver!Shawna B.

Keep this on hand for trimming our guinea pig's nails. His front nails are clear/white, so it's pretty easy to see the quick, but his back nails are dark and once we (my GF, I hold him) got his quick. Luckily we had this stuff on hand, and it stopped bleeding basically as soon as we dipped his nail in it. My GF is going to school to be a vet tech, and she prefers the powder form, so that's what I bought. Also went with the smallest container, because she's pretty good at avoiding the quick on animalsC.
