My girl Patches had a lump on her front leg. It turned out to be a sarcoma. We removed the tumor and discussed radiation therapy. I made the decision to wait and see what would happen.. The bites are bug for my cat, i have to split it into 3 so she can eat it. She loved it at first but then didn’t care much about it. Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. Used 1x daily for my senior cat with CKD and FIV+ for the past month or so. She came to me last year with early stage 2 kidney disease and from a diet mainly on dry kibble. Started her on a diet of wet food and with her dinner meal gave her 1 capsule mixed in with an Inaba churu packet (like gogurt for cats). i gave her 1 instead of 2 as recommended because my cat is smaller at 7 lbs. we did this for a month. just went to the vet and got the results back recently– her kidney functions have improved and the vet said her values looked "very good!" Creatinine decreased from 2.4 to 1.9 ( normal range: 0.9-2.3) BUN decreased from 43 to 37 (range: 16-37) However the vet did say her thyroid level increased a bit to the "higher end normal" of 2.8, however she did also say this can be okay/beneficial because the thyroid allows more blood flow/kidney function as well, so its a balancing act. with this in mind i might either keep our regimen, which the vet said is fine, or decrease to every other day, but i don't think i will. this stuff is amazing.
other results: bigger poop, which wasn't happening before despite eating a lot of wet food (this indicated she didn't absorb as much nutrients, but now she is), shiny coat! and it does seem she drinks less and pees less. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. My senior cat was diagnosed with Hypokalemia . Low potassium . He was put on this supplement and within 4 to 5 days, his appetite improved and his activity level. I suspect that this is a good, effective supplement for potassium in cats. My vet recommended it and said to just squirt it on a finger and wipe on the roof of the cats mouth so he had to swallow it. I have been using food-grade DE internally for about 6 months and I have noticed the improvement in my skin tone and elasticity (I am 45). I have four dogs and one of my GSD has the most tender tummy. I swear the wind blowing to hard can give her an upset tummy and runny poo. Make sure you read the description of how much to mix the Canine Health as it's not too much especially when you are introducing it to your pooch the first time. Quality projects with over the top customer care. My 14 yo terrier was diagnosed with kidney disease. My vet basically made it sound like a death sentence and only recommended Science Diet kidney kibble. After some of my own research, I knew kibble was inappropriate and she refused to eat the very disgusting canned food. That's when I found Dr. Harvey's. They advised me via text and phone call until I had the right menu for my dog. I cannot thank them enough – I have my dog back! She feels like her old, sassy self. Current menu includes DH Canine Health, DH kidney health supplement, fish oil and our own added protein (ground turkey or chicken).
