Petsafe Easysport Dog Harness For Sale (2024 Update)

I bought this harness about a month or so ago for my Plotthound Lab Mix! This harness is a very great quality harness and my dog is comfortable and happy in it! He is a working dog so this harness is great for when we are on the move or running! The neck area has a bit of stretch to it so if we need to make a sudden stop and it pulls on him he wont be choked! It has a pretty good wide open space for working dog patches or stickers! I have 2 other dogs and this harness is still standing! Overall I rate this harness a 5 stars! Totally Recommend!Alexis1234

Our pittie is about 30 pounds and he is not even done growing. He is full of energy and excitement when we go for walks, so it’s extremely imperative for me to have a harness that I can rely on for sturdiness to hold him steady. What I love about this harness is, just that! I had an incident before with a dog jacket that had a built-in harness – forget about it! He saw another pittie who was as playful, slipped right through it and started running. Imagine my fear. Now that I have this great harness by EasySport, I am very confident that it will never happen again. The relief is immense. Despite my dog tugging his leash at times, this harness is so comfortable for him. Not a trace of skin redness caused from it even after all that craziness he does. Trust me, my pittie is strong and yet, it’s a piece of cake for this harness! Not a slight sign of wear and tear. This thing is built to last. I love that he will grow into this in time as well, because the upper limit on ours is 50 pounds. Perfect! Also, there is a nice handle on the back of the harness – so well sewn. Keep your dog stable by holding onto it, when needed. Even someone in a small build like myself can have great control due to the well-thought out design. I have been using the EasySport Medium Harness for about a month now. I live by the Dunes on Lake Michigan and take our puppy there several times a week. She is about forty five pounds and has quite a bit of energy. When first trying this on her I noticed I was able to loosen the straps. It was very easy and took seconds to loosen. The fit was perfect and she seemed very comfortable. I noticed the straps were thicker and when she pulled, I wasn’t worried the straps would break. While walking through the dunes, some of the pathways can be very narrow. I am training her to stay at my side while other hikers walk by. Having that strap at the top has made it even easier to train her to stay. Now all I have to do is tap the top and she knows to sit. The convenience of the strap and the padding added for comfort are two huge added bonuses for us. Our puppy is very active and while walking her in public I need to trust that I have the best products. I need to be able to rely on our leashes and harnesses so we can enjoy our walks with no worries. This harness has been fantastic. When she pulls too much or gets excited and runs, I know that the harness won’t break. I do believe I will need to size up soon. I ordered a medium and I think it fits very well. I am sure after a few more months of growing though that I will need the large. I will be purchasing the next size up when she’s ready. If this harness can withstand my puppies energy, it is tough enough for any dog!JoeFav

Bought this harness when I (and family) adopted our new retriever mix and were required to get a martingale harness as part of the adoption agreement. We've had him for just over two weeks now and I’m disappointed to discover that the straps of the harness we bought then have frayed dramatically at several points in such a short time; including one point at which a key strap is holding on by just a few threads! It seemed to fit relatively well during the time we have been using it. I’ve seen discussion that this kind of thing starts with a nick in the side of the strap, that must somehow have been caused by the dog chewing and/or scratching. As part of our work to train our dog, we’ve been very aware of his overall behavior, especially when going for walks. He’s not a puppy and never actively scratched or bit at the harness to our knowledge but, of course, it’s not impossible that this might have happened once or twice. I do question, however, the value of a dog harness that is unable to stand up to that kind of treatment.RalphtheDog

My Luna is a 2yr old black lab-pitbull mix. She's husky, friendly, and a puller when she's on a lead. Having a harness that helps with the pulling is a blessing. She loves going on walks but will drag you down the sidewalk. Since using the easy walk harness regularly, she has much better behaved. The easy walk harness goes around her chest and back and has a leash attachment on the front. This design takes the pressure off of her neck and shoulders, making it more comfortable for her to walk without pulling. This no pull harness is great for any dog that you have pulling problems with. It allows you to walk your dog without worrying about pulling on a collar or harness with a top buckle. The harness is very easy to adjust and put on your dog. It has two snap buckles for easy release. The leash attachment is on the chest area where you walk your dog from. My dog is 65 pounds and sometimes will pull when she sees other animals or people. This really does control the pulling and makes it easy for me to lead her. First, the best parts: This harness works great! Rufus (catahoula leopard hound/mix) does not pull AT ALL anymore and he seemed to "get the idea" all on his own with little to know training . . . it is almost as if being led from the front j ust instantly changed his mentality. I have always been able to walk Rosie (American foxhound) like a puppy on a string and sometimes almost had to pull her (laziest foxhound anywhere) so it is also nice with her to not be pulling her by the neck . . . she plods happily along. It's easy to adjust, easy to put on, easy to take off, looks very nice, holds up well, does not chafe. Here is where there is room for improvement: as noted in some other reviews, the sizing is off, but what I noticed is a bit different . . . both dogs measure very close to the middle for the size I ordered (medium) but all of the straps had to be adjusted to the tightest it would go in order to fit and it still seems a bit loose around the FRONT. I tried turning it upside down as noted by the company in response to some of the reviews, but it seemed to fit almost the same. So you may want to order a size smaller or call the company before ordering to be sure that it is going to fit. The other thing I am not fond of is that the buckles seem to be right at the armpits and that bothers me probably more than it bothers the dogs. However, here is another upside! When my (adult) son accidentally put the harness on the dog incorrectly, we found that it can also be used with the D-ring on the back instead of the front (at least on these breeds) and it works beautifully, so if you want the leash to attach to the dog's back rather than to the front, it's sort of a "bonus" use of the harness. The chest adjustment is at its loosest, but the chest/belly straps are almost maxed out on tightness, so I couldn't size up to make it better fit my 50lb lab/chow mix. The chest strap also slips down with extreme pulling, which fortunately for my pup isn't super frequent, but it has tripped him once. I think the instructions say that the chest straps should be tightened if this happens, but they also say that the harness should be a T shape, and if I tighten the chest strap, it definitely pulls behind his front legs. I think this is a decent harness, it's just not great for broader chested pups.kelmel

I bought this 2 weeks ago. My standard poodle puppy (8 months old) would jerk so hard on his leash when he saw another dog on our walks that I would practically get pulled off my feet. With ice on the sidewalks, I was afraid to take him for a walk. I went to Petco to buy a prong collar out of desperation. An employee who helps with their dog training described how this harness would be a better solution. This harness has worked like a miracle! My dog walks calmly by my side. If he starts to pull, the leash puts a bit of pressure on his chest, instead on my arm. It also turns him towards me slightly instead, and I redirect him with the “heel” command.” I wish I had known about this collar sooner. If you have a strong dog who pulls on the leash, try this. I love this harness! Expecially for my 115 pound doberman. The Petsafe EasySport harness doesn't pull against his throat and have him hacking and coughing when he wants to run off. The handle on the harness, fitting between his shoulders, gives me lots more control, as I am training him from a wheel chair. The design is great too. So easy to put on and take off. I have a Dachshund who has a shallow chest and I couldn't find a harness she couldn't walk out of. A family member had this harness for two dogs and I thought I would try it because it was more snug around the neck. Works like a charm!! I ordered a XS online, but it was too small. The small is a little big, but I tightened it to fit. I love that the lease ring is on the back of the harness. And I love the handle on top so I can easily lift her into the car. Nicely made and dog can't back out if properly fitted. Sizing is a bit weird. My chihuahua mix and fox terrier wear the same size, but my rat terrier wears the next size up. Neck size is important. The girth size has more flexibility. Good for dogs that don't pull too hard and the handle is nice to grab a dog. Not to be worn full time, but for an escape artist it would be good for day time wear. My dogs are between 10 and 25 lbs. Very handy overall.TBHorseowner

I love this mixing leash and harness set! It is really cute and soft. I was very impress that it was labeled with the different body parts. Which makes putting it on your dog a piece of cake. This was my first time ever using a harness with the loop in the front of the chest. It's perfect for training dogs of all ages to walk properly on a leash. My fur baby is not a fan of the leash and as you can see. He is a puller and he don't like that I can change his direction to whatever I am going. I decided to get this PetSafe – Easy Walk® Chic Designer Harness & Leash for my Ragdoll. His name is Cushy Meow and I only let him go out of the house on the deck so he can walk around with out running off somewhere. I got the blue one with the little bones to match his beautiful blue eyes. He looks very handsome in it. It fits perfectly as he weighs about 16 lbs, so I ended up getting a size small. Perfect size for Cushy Meow and he really enjoys wearing it while he is getting some fresh air. The product is very good and seems to be of fantastic quality overall! I love it too!! I finally found the perfect harness for walking my dog! My dog Daisy always pulls when I take her for walks. She pulls so hard that she starts coughing and choking. She does the with both leashes and traditional harnesses. The Easy Walk Harness has changed that. She no longer pulls or chokes on walks. I cannot believe I finally found something that works! I was so excited to receive the harness – it seemed like a huge upgrade from the old one I bought from Tractor Supply that my dog was using. Well. It took twice as long as expected to arrive which is ridiculous when I paid for shipping. The shipping fees were refunded, but I had purchased the item with the intent to use it by a specific date which didn’t happen since it didn’t arrive until MUCH later. When it finally did show up the package was ripped almost completely open and the packaging of the product was all messed up which is also ridiculous. Alright it’s here, looks like **** but it’s here. It’s a much brighter blue than I expected which I like. It took a little while to figure out how to adjust as the ends were so firmly tucked into the harness I thought I was going to break it. Finally got it on and adjusted and “Meh”. It’s not deep enough (front to back) in my opinion, and my dog is not an odd or unusual shape. I do like that it covers less surface area, she appears to stay cooler (but a double coated black dog in the humid Midwest is always hot). It does sag when wet (which is almost always as she swims regularly) BUT it dries and goes back to the original fit which is a pro I guess. I say I guess because I didn’t expect a harness I paid over $80 to sag at all when wet but ‍♀ It doesn’t show any wear yet which it shouldn’t for only having it 2 weeks. It does shift like crazy. Not as bad as the cheap tractor supply one, but again I expected ZERO shifting from the $80+ harness. Honestly I probably won’t buy again. I was super excited to find a harness with everything I wanted: reflectors (which the ones on this harness ****, seriously for $80 y’all couldn’t put reflective piping on all edges?!), a handle on the back, bright blue, goes over the head/ NOT a step through and had a back leash clip. But honestly I’m pretty disappointed. There is a lot of room for improvement in what I consider an expensive harness (more reflective piping, padding under the middle set of buckles, better fit, better choice of shipping carriers). I’m not going to get rid of it and it does fit better than the Tractor Supply but I don’t absolutely love it like I hoped.Seva P.

My girl discovered early on that she can back out of her harness in a heartbeat. She can't back out of the Flagline harness (yay!) and – more importantly – if needed, I can pull on the leash / harness without fear of hurting her. (There have been a couple times when we've encountered dogs who are too friendly — having the Flagline harness on my girl made it much easier to pull her back to a safe distance without fear of hurting her or having the harness pop off at a bad time.) The harness is easy to put on / take off. It's strong. The reflective trim helps make her more visible. The adjustable straps make it easy to size up during the winter time when she's got winter coat(s) to accommodate. Having clips for closure is so much nicer than harnesses with velcro closures. (Velcro closure doesn't last long – and trying to wash anything with velcro – oy veh!) The price was a little more than I thought I'd spend for a harness – but having a harness I can trust and that will last is worth every penny. 100% recommend!Karen G.

The harness is super adjustable and fits my pups barrel chest so well! We wanted the waist clip as the single rib clip always slipped off or got loose and it wasn’t enough security for us. We also really love the handles! The front loop works super well to mitigate some pulling (pups only 8 months old) and my favorite feature is the inner material that rests on his body, it’s not mesh or fabric that his short coat sticks into so his hair isn’t being rubbed off or sticking in the harness getting stuck in cracks and making it itchy or difficult to clean. This harness is also super easy to wash and I really love the hardy materials on this harness. Wish it came in orange but the grey works just as well on our pup! This harness just fits Róka so well and I’m so pleased with it!!!! It fits and contours to his whole body and moves with him when he’s moving around! The best harness, it's great for strong dogs and my Reggie is alot more comfortable in it. Great if walking in dark as has reflectors all over it. The handle is great when sometimes you just need that extra hold. I will have to admit I had first purchased a much cheaper 'version' of this harness, but within a week of using a generic brand, i quickly realised i had made a grave mistake and promptly ordered this EZYDOG CONVERT HARNESS. I have a Chocolate Lab that weights in at about 80 pounds. She is really hard to fit for a harness. They are always to big on the top/neck to fit her on the chest. Finally I have one that fits her in both places the she seems very comfortable in. The PetSafe 3 in 1 Harness is adjustable at both the top/neck and the chest. It has a nice padding for comfort. It gives the ability to walk her from the front or back which is great depending on how you want to walk your dog or the situation you are in. Bonus feature for the dog that loves to ride in the car, is the strap on the back that the seat belt can slide through to secure your dog in the car. I can honestly say that the front no pull option didn't stop my girl from pulling if something distracted her enough. But that could just be my dog and the way we have always walked with her.gerberbaby72

Mine ripped in the same place others have complain about. My dog did not chew it. It was so odd as I was taking the dog to class and it just fell apart. Wasn’t even pulling on it. I have two Easy Walk harnesses that are 11 and 12 years old and still going strong. However I bought one for my new puppy and it’s much thinner and flimsy looking. But it didn’t break she just outgrew it. Even though the Petsafe broke it was prettier so I was ready to try one again until I read the reviews and saw others breaking in the same place.MJCB

I love the versatility of this harness. I am able to use this for my car rides or when going out for a walk with my dog. We always have trouble with keeping him still in the car and am afraid he will fall or get hurt when driving. I was able to put this harness and attach to my seat Belt while still giving him wiggle room. It’s great for walking out too the only thing I find uncomfortable is how the front clip is set. It’s supposed to prevent my dog from pulling and it does help with this a lot, however I find it uncomfortable to attach a leash to. Usually I am used to having the leash at the top or dog’s back. This has both so its very versatile like I said. My doggy seems to be comfortable in this harness too so the pull clip I will not use but may work great for other owners. This would not prevent me from purchasing again.Lizzyliz

I have two large elderly dogs, one has spinal degeneration the other has hip and ACL injuries to his rear legs, neither can walk without help. Each weighs over 70 lbs. I bought two full size harnesses, but frankly, I wish I'd only bought the rear sections as the chest part is poorly designed and doesn't fit properly at all (the dogs' shoulders are pinned and movement is severely restricted.) However, the rear section intended for actual lifting is pretty good. My male dog is one of the 20% of male dogs whose (censored?) is set farther back between his legs, so the belly strap and it's hard plastic (censored?) protector cover it completely and have to be removed before he urinates… which is okay because it has a place to clip out of the way for just that reason. My female doesn't need the leg straps, so ultimately I paid for a lot of pieces I don't need. Better to have and not need, right? The rear section attaches easily to the regular chest harnesses that I already owned, so unless your dog is small and has very narrow shoulders I can't recommend the full harness but the rear section is something we can't live without. So in summary, I totally recommend the rear section but not the chest harness and therefor not the full rig. To the company, I suggest making these available in bulk to veterinarians.Stellatookmynickname

We have a three-legged (born with one front leg missing) Chocolate Lab who is going on 15 years. He's never known he was "different" and did everything other dogs do. He could even dig a hole (rearing back and gaining momentum with his front leg). As the years have passed, it has become increasingly difficult for him to rise from a lying position especially on slick surfaces and go up and down a few stairs on the deck. s. We use the front harness only for him and this has brought much confidence in him with us hoisting as needed to rise and navigate stairs. We'll probably add the rear harness at some point. This harnass lasted exactly three minutes. I put it on my dog, adjusted it, and she chewed it for a second and it completely tore. The company acknowledges that it can not withstand even a quick nip from your dog. Ridiculously poor quality. Their answer is for you to spend another 12.99 for a warranty to get another harnass which will do the same thing. Awful product that is expensive. Dismissive and unethical customer service. There are many other good options for harnesses out there. Save your money and aggravation .Kerri R

I really like the product. The two connection points give me more control over my reactive dog. A few months after purchase I noticed some of the nylon was unraveling near one of the box stitches. I contacted the company and provided pictures and they replaced it right away. Great product and great service.

Just know that this isn’t a miracle product that will completely stop your dog from pulling. It’s not a replacement for training. YOU as the owner have to teach your dog proper leash manners. But if you want more control, or you have a reactive dog, I definitely recommend this.Rachel Cormier

This has been a major breakthrough with my crazy pulling dog! We have tried several other collars as well as a harness that had more of a collar and only attached to the leash on the back. Like I said in my title, this is a nice set up but the fit is hard to figure out. The harness itself is good quality, all of the sewing looks great, and I feel like it will withstand the test of time. The leash is the same quality. However, in an effort to make this fully adjustable it takes for-ev-er to get it adjusted down to your dogs size. I have a medium sized border collie and though the measurements line up, it’s still a smidge too big for her. Not enough to send back just a note to other owners. Overall it’s A nice set, just make sure you have patience ready for when you go to use it the first time.BBee13

Pet Safe 3 in 1 Harness. The medium size fits 35-65 lb dogs. This is the correct for the standard medium size dogs, The package list measurements for a more precise fit. The halter is nylon with metal rings and plastic clip fasteners. It seems to be made well. There are different configurations. The first is the regular harness hookup with the leash connected to the top of the harness at the shoulders. The next choice is the no pull solution the connects at the front of the harness. The feature I am excited to use is the car restraint. There are several ways to set it up. With the system comes a short leash to use with the restraint or with the harness for training or short control. Also included is a leash that also has different setups. It can be used as a leash to attach to the top and from of the harness. From the horse world ,my daughter calls this a Martingale, for those from that world. It also converts to a long leash. This system is particularly accommodating my baby Makoda. He has been harness trained, but he is young and when in a new environment forgets sometimes. This system is customizable for his state of mind. We like to go to the beach and end the day with the leash in the longest fashion. He is still working up his courage to go deeper.Kimmie L

I recently purchased the The PetSafe 3 in 1 Harness with two point control leash. This is a great leash/harness combo . It works great for dogs like mine who are constantly pulling when on a walk. It definitely makes our walks so much easier. He’s no longer pulling or jerking me but walking comfortably beside me. The Harness fits great and works well with the leash. I have been living with, training and competing with my dogs in dog sports for over 20 years. I have had bigger dogs and small/toy dogs. I have tried MANY types of harnesses and in the end I always return to this one. I was truly sad that they have stopped making this in many colors and only make it in black and red. If some other company makes it in other colors the next time I need one I may have to go somewhere else for color. What I love about this harness is (1) none of my dogs has ever escaped it, (2) it does not limit movement or cause any of the physical issues that can occur over time by restricted movement, (3) once adjusted it stays exactly as I have set it, (4) machine washable, (5) does not stretch out. If you are considering the Pet Safe sport harness, skip it. Both I and a friend purchased it… she got one for a large dog and mine was for a small dog. In both cases that harness did not retain its shape very long and the dogs could slip out of them. Waste of money.Versadogs

The quality is definitely worth the price. However, I have a French Bulldog with a big neck. It is very hard to get the right size. I had to order two and one does not fit because the neck section is NOT adjustable. The other one is way too big overall. It's perfect for other breeds, jurt watch out if your dog has a different body shape.Chiara

My cat loves being outside but doesn't like being held back by a leash. When she gets to the end of her leash and it comes taught, she'll sometimes fight and roll to try to escape (anyone who's put their cat on a leash probably knows what I'm talking about). This harness is designed to gently tighten when the cat pulls on it, and it works pretty well to keep her in there, but she has escaped a couple times. I think the issue is a rubber slider that is supposed to maintain the tension in part of the harness—it really doesn't stay in place, and after some wrestling, comes loose and makes the loop that her head passes through really big, and she can get out despite the tightening mechanism. To fix this, I tied a knot behind this slider so it can't loosen all the way, but there's still enough slack for me to get the harness onto my cat and for her to be comfortable in it (she's a pretty small cat, so she doesn't need all that slack that a bigger cat might). This seems to keep her in there better. In any case, this harness is definitely better than a previous one I had that was intended for small dogs (and didn't have the tightening design). She used to slip out of that one a lot… Other than the design, the harness and leash are well built, intuitive to use, and easy to get on. In retrospect, I might've bought one of those fabric harnesses with velcro. The wider straps on those might be more comfortable for the cat, and might keep her in there better. But this one is good enough.ctconwell

My cat is used to more bulky harnesses, so her adjustment period was fairly brief. I like the bungee leash and so far, she’s dashed and pulled a few times and the harness stayed on with little readjustment – a significant feat considering she used to manage to slip out of her old vest harness regularly in similar circumstances. However, I do want to note that the rubber stopper is just as useless as everyone is saying. So if you stay aware of your cat (as one should always be anyway), you’re probably fine. However, also remember that cats have very flexible joints so almost no harness is 100% escape-proof. Man… that rubber stopper really useless.Reeso

Really like this harness as it is EASY to get on to our VERY ACTIVE 8 month old male kitten! Snaps into place and it seems to call him – at least for a little while. Problem is if I leave this on for a few days, he starts to scratch at it and tends to get a few, minor, loose threads. Recommend just using it for a shorter period of time – like overnight and/or a few hours/day, as needed to calm. Great product, but SIZE UP. Our 7lb kitten wears a Med.
