This harnass lasted exactly three minutes. I put it on my dog, adjusted it, and she chewed it for a second and it completely tore. The company acknowledges that it can not withstand even a quick nip from your dog. Ridiculously poor quality. Their answer is for you to spend another 12.99 for a warranty to get another harnass which will do the same thing. Awful product that is expensive. Dismissive and unethical customer service. I really like the product. The two connection points give me more control over my reactive dog. A few months after purchase I noticed some of the nylon was unraveling near one of the box stitches. I contacted the company and provided pictures and they replaced it right away. Great product and great service.
Just know that this isn’t a miracle product that will completely stop your dog from pulling. It’s not a replacement for training. YOU as the owner have to teach your dog proper leash manners. But if you want more control, or you have a reactive dog, I definitely recommend this.Rachel Cormier

We have a slender, silky coated hound who is wiggly, at just a year. She appears to be a mix of greyhound and Rhodesian ridgeback, very muscular. She can slip out of many harnesses that are not covering enough of her torso. Bought this harness to help my dog stop pulling on walks. It does help with the pulling, but it isnt like waving a magic wand and suddenly she walks perfectly. Its a good tool to use while training on walks though and I dont feel like shes going to hurt herself like when she would pull with the leash attached to her collar. Overall, the harness is good quality. No rips or tears have occurred. The only thing I would say thats a negative is the fact that the straps tend to shift looser over time. So you need to check before each walk that they are the proper tightness. I would also prefer four buckles rather than two. Sometimes it can be hard to get over my dogs head, so it would have been nice if it clipped together on the neck as well as the torso. I do love the little handle on the back of the harness. When we see another dog on our walks and they start barking, it tends to get my dog riled up. So its nice to be able to grab that handle and walk her along with more control. The reflective parts arent super reflective, but the orange harness is pretty bright orange so that does help with visibility. Id say if youre looking to try a harness for the first time, not knowing if youre dog will like wearing a harness, give this one a shot. I will upgrade to a more expensive harness eventually, but for now my dog and I are both happy with this one.stitchinwitchvtg

Bought this harness when I (and family) adopted our new retriever mix and were required to get a martingale harness as part of the adoption agreement. We've had him for just over two weeks now and I’m disappointed to discover that the straps of the harness we bought then have frayed dramatically at several points in such a short time; including one point at which a key strap is holding on by just a few threads! It seemed to fit relatively well during the time we have been using it. I’ve seen discussion that this kind of thing starts with a nick in the side of the strap, that must somehow have been caused by the dog chewing and/or scratching. As part of our work to train our dog, we’ve been very aware of his overall behavior, especially when going for walks. He’s not a puppy and never actively scratched or bit at the harness to our knowledge but, of course, it’s not impossible that this might have happened once or twice. My Luna is a 2yr old black lab-pitbull mix. She's husky, friendly, and a puller when she's on a lead. Having a harness that helps with the pulling is a blessing. I chose the Walk About Harness and a matching leash to use for my dog’s “working gear”. I’m training him to be a registered therapy dog and it was suggested that he have different gear for this. We call it his working gear so he knows the difference when I put the Kurgo harness and leash on instead of his nonworking harness and leash. He quickly learned the difference and it has helped immensely with his training.
Doesn’t hold up well to daily use; the metal strap adjusters cut into the straps with daily wear and I’ve already noticed tears in the straps where the adjusters are. This harness has been the first I’ve found that enables me to adjust it to fit my dog’s narrow front chest however it does not appear to hold up well to daily use. I would not purchase again since it appears the straps will tear and fall apart in a couple months.ShannonC
I really like that this has a front and back clip so we don't have to change out harnesses for walking and car rides. And there's a lot of room for adjusting the size, including the chest. Our golden has a narrow chest/shoulders and other no-pull harnesses would have a pretty big gap that would hang down. The only thing I'd say to watch out for is make sure the adjustable hooks on the chest piece are locked in place after sizing. One did slip out of place (while my dog was rolling around) but, the harness didn't like fall off or anything. And it hasn't happened since, so I think it was more owner error than anything else. Our no-pull service dog harness is a true no-pull harness. what makes this a no-pull harness is a d-ring set into the front chest plate. if you have a dog that wants to get out in front of you then this harness will solve that problem. when the leash is attached to the front chest d-ring and you tug at the leash the dog will turn back towards you. causing the dog to turn its head and focus on you. if you have a young dog that gets distracted easily this will also be perfect for you. when training with this harness i will attach a short leash to the top d-ring of the harness & then a narrow longer leash to the front chest d-ring. i will work the top leash but if the dog gets out of position or distracted i have that narrow longer leash on the front d-ring to make the correction & get the dog back focused on me. if you are working with a wheel chair you can attach one leash to the chair and hold the other leash that is connected to the front d-ring to get the same results the no-pull service dog harness is a form fitting harness with adjustments on both the chest/neck & girth areas. there are two sets of buckles at the neck & girth so once you have the harness adjusted to your dog's size then it is very easy to take the harness on and off because the adjustments can be left in place. you won't have to take this harness off & on by pulling it over the dogs head. the no-pull quick-release service dog harness is padded with air mesh for your dog's comfort. the padded chest area gives good stability to the harness. there are no loose floppy straps on this no-pull service dog harness. the entire harness is bound with reflective materials. it comes with two attached reflective service dog patches. there is an attached double pocket id window for your id's. the handle is a raised molded easy grip handle with two d-rings to attach an extended bridge handle. the harness is red in color and comes in three sizes. bridge handles & id cards are sold separately.

I wanted a front clip harness for my adolescent SDIT who needs a bit of extra "steering" right now. I thought this harness would be perfect, but after using it once, I realize that the description didn't give neck measurements. Buying based on girth size alone, I ended up with a harness that hangs on my adolescent German Shepherd (whose girths usually fill out long before their necks). With such a loose neck on front clip harness, the whole thing spins. There's no way to size it down. So for anyone with a young deep-chested breed, watch out for that. Otherwise, my dog clearly liked it. The Y (between the front legs) strap design is ergonomically superior to traditional harnesses, especially with growing dogs. It's lightweight and comfortable. Like all my other Active Dog harnesses, the quality is second to none. It should be a great harness for my dog during the heat of summer after he's filled out. I love how reflective it is. (In the photo, the restaurant patio was quite dark. The harness was impressive the way it lit up when the flash hit it.). It's a nice enough harness that I'll just put this away until late summer. If the neck were more adjustable (or neck size listed in the description), I'd give this a 5 paw rating.Lori
We received the no pull service dog harness, padded cordrua clip on bridge handle and ID that we just ordered. Much sooner than we expected. We new we wanted a no pull harness for our (working) service dog because they have work so well our other (pet) dogs. The minute we took this harness out of the box it exceeding our expectations just in quality construction. We ordered a M/L using the "how to fit your dog" chart. The sizing chart was an excellent resource. We adjusted the straps to fit. And are very pleased with a fit that will support the growth our dog will experience. We have a very active chocolate lab and this harness fits well and works like a dream. Front-attach harnesses work to destabilize the dog so you are not in a tug of war. Everyone we have suggested this harness to is a believer because it makes walking the dog less of a battle. Eventually the clips loosen with wear and when our dog jumps they sometimes now release so we needed to buy a new the harness. I purchased the first harness for a mini Australian Shepard (40 pounds) who was hard to find the correct size for but it fit so well and It was so easy to fasten on a fidgety dog that I ordered her another one. Then I ordered one for each of my sons dogs. He has a dachshund (14 pounds) and most harnesses slip over her head but this harness fits perfectly and does not slip off.
