Sizes are a lot smaller than other Barbour dog products. After reading reviews indicating that sizes are smaller I purchased a medium instead of the usual small for my 6 month old french bulldog, it still did not fit. I sent the medium back and ordered a large which fits great, but there is no way a 6 month old french bulldog is a large in any dog wear. What a fantastic harness! My 90 pound dood is a consummate outdoorspoodle and now he can pack his own water, snacks, and frisbee thanks to the bungee cord feature. The harness is wonderfully customizable. I have a Huge, deep chested giant pal who is wearing the 2-3X size. The straps are incredibly adjustable at the shoulder, neck, and across the girth to fit a wide variety of pup shapes. The material is extremely durable, seems to resist staining (I give it a quick rinse when my mudpuppy has really had fun), and most important, the harness is lightly padded for comfort. Will be returning. Our Yorkie mix weighs 10 lbs and measured 14 inches around her chest. Based on the size chart, we ordered her a size Small. We paid extra for shipping. When it got here, it looked tiny. I adjusted the straps and tried putting it on our pup but it’s too small! It barely went over her head and wouldn’t close even at the largest adjusted strap point. Either your size chart is wrong or your product is mislabeled. I will be returning this harness. Which is too bad because I love the harness she has from your company but it is stinky now and the smell won’t wash away. I like this harness! I have a mini aussie and he is a chewer. Sometimes with these he will somehow find his way to nibble around the edges of the harness and tear through it. (We’ve been through 3 harnesses) Anyways, I wish it were a little easier to out on with the clip that has to go through the strap but I guess thats why he is so secure. Still would recommend this product though as its better than collars for dogs throats!sarah.a

Like most Bostons, she has a bigger chest measurement compared to the rest of her body measurements. But it was just too big. I have two pugs and their sizing for harnesses can be more difficult due to the way they are built body wise. I have a female about 20-25 lbs and a male 30-34 lbs . The female size I picked was L and works and the male was XL. The harnesses are gorgeous ( I bought 6-3 for each dog) and fit well due to the ability to adjust . They are very well made and better to hand wash and line dry or was on a gentle cycle to prolong their quality and of course style!! These are very unique, trendy, and fashionable . The sea shell one for my female is beautiful…. Saving for warmer weather and the pirate for my male in summer time . I will definitely buy again when needed and give a 10 star review!!!
