Harry Potter Dog Harness For Sale (2024 Update)

This is my second harness from Big & Little Dogs, as my puppy grew out of our first one. We were really impressed by the quality and safety attachments of the harness. I have had her name put on both harnesses and none of this has peeled off even when I’m hand washing it after she runs through a puddle. This harness is great harness and perfect for my puppy who did not like harnesses that go over her head. She wears this when walking and when in the car. The front clip is good for her seatbelt and her light when we walk in the dark. I have received many compliments on the pattern!Ashleigh

I love this harness so much, having the clip around the neck helps us a lot! We have a Japanese Spitz with tiny little shoulders but a round tummy. So pull over harnesses don’t fit her right. The extra secure clip for the neck is amazing.Nikki W.

I saw this harness at my local REI and without knowing anything about the brand or how it would impact my life, I knew it was “cute”. I bought it for my mischievous lab puppy who weighed around 50 lbs at the time, solely for that reason. The cute factor. I then came here and ordered the Ruffwear Knot-a-leash rope dog leash to match. We used the harness and leash combo for about a week, when my fearless puppy decided to show me how well it works. I was driving on the freeway, and while waiting in traffic to exit on the off ramp, I opened my back windows for her to get some fresh air. She was clipped to a cheap “doggie seatbelt clip” so she was secure, or so I thought. I hadn’t noticed that she had un-clipped herself from the seatbelt until the moment I saw her jump right out the car window, and disappear from my view. She wasn’t trained at the time and would make a run for it anytime possible. I panicked picturing my dog running into freeway traffic and being hit, but to my disbelief I found her hanging off the car window, being securely help in place by this harness and the rope leash that was still inside the car. The impact of her weight combined with the momentum of the jump, did nothing but dent the locking system of the carabiner shut, and held her weight without letting her escape or even touch the ground for that matter, and not a single rip happened to either the harness or the leash otherwise. This “expensive, but cute” dog accessory prevented my dog from a terrifying death that would have surely happened had she not been wearing both of these incredible, life-saving items. I haven't used it for the reason I bought it yet, (to be used on my dog while paddle boarding), but I have discovered it's amazing ability to thwart my dog's whale like antics to throw herself backward, going limp, and melt right out of the harness like a cooked noodle when she doesn't want to go or leave somewhere. My dog is a 55lb Golden Retriever / Border Collie, she's a big heavy noodle. I used to own the Rabitgo dog harness which was nice for her to wear while we biked, however within 3mo she learned how to pinch her shoulders together and melt out of the harness. She would also (mostly at the dog park) go stiff leg when we would leave and then rear up and throw herself backward ( like a whale jumping out of the ocean )so she was sprawled on the ground. Your only option was to literally drag her from the park. She is 4yrs old now and is an amazing whale flopper.. she can slip out of anything… until now. I can literally just hold her in the air by my side while she tries to wiggle and squirm out of the harness to no avail with this RuffWear harness. For that reason alone this harness is worth every penny to me, whether or not it works in the water. As far as fitting goes, I bought the large. Her neck is 19inches. Behind the front legs 31inches. In front of the back legs 25 inches. From base of neck to the start of the tail is 27 inches in length. It seems to fit her well. The components are well built the D ring is sturdy the buckles are heavy duty and it's well stitched. I think the only thing that could make this harness better would be having another D ring in the front. I know they have other harnesses with this feature, but multiple attachments is just handy when it comes to dogs. Overall, I would recommend this harness and I won't be going back to my previous harness.McKenna B.

This harness is perfect for our furry escape artist! We've been using this harness for years (this is our third one) and she has never gotten out of it. It is adjustable to get a comfortable fit. The handle is wonderful when you need to make sure you have solid control, such as when small children want to greet the doggo nose to nose. Even though this is our third harness purchase, I want to clarify that the previous harnesses did not wear out and they are still structurally sound. We walk a lot and they faded due to sun and water exposure after a few years. And one of them took a beating from my cleaning attempts after an unfortunate encounter with a skunk. I have a new rescue dog, Ako, I should re-name him Houdini. He has gotten out of every harness/collarI have put him in. I have used a total of eight different harnesses and collars, and he’s gotten out of every last one of them. He’s also a runner, so when he gets loose, he takes off running, and I have to go and try and catch him. I’ve been terrified he’ll be hit by a car or I’ll lose him. Then we got the Webmaster. it works like a charm, and he has never gotten out of it. Once you get it adjusted to your dog’s size, you don’t have to adjust it again. it’s easy to put on and it’s impossible for them to get it off, but at the same time, It’s also super comfortable and Ako doesn’t seem to mind wearing it. Fantastic harness for our elderly Labrador. Sadly our 13 year old Lab has arthritis and weak hind legs which cause her to struggle up steps and over rough terrain. This harness has been a life saver whilst recently on holiday in Cornwall. We have been able to take the weight off her hind end going up steps and steep paths and climbing up from the beach and she has been able to have a fabulous holiday and enjoy swimming in the sea. Fits really well and comes far enough along the length of her tummy to be supportive when lifting her. My only criticism would be that it does slip round a little but not a major problem. This is our second time buying the Webmaster for our 2 dogs. The first set that we purchased for our dogs lasted about eight years and are actually still usable, but are just beginning to look shabby now, and that is with daily use, and washing with the washing machine and hang drying probably once a month. Our dogs were in between sizes so based on the comments we elected for the smaller of the two sizes and it worked out perfectly. Previously, we had the gray (which we really liked), but we elected for the orange this time, as we hike year round through hunting season. The orange stands out and looks great and the new harnesses looks super durable. Once again we are very satisfied customers. My only suggestion would be to maybe add a little bit more reflective material to the harness so that it stands out a bit more when we walk them at night.Heather F.

You always use locking clips for all harnesses, the chest d ring open clasp was the thing a cat owner might invent, dogs are able to remove easily. Send these things out for testing. Like the design but let's get dog owners involvedMartyP

I have tried several different harnesses for Zeke and this is the best. My Mini Cattle Dog, Zeke, is a go getter, energetic guy, but being a mini he is very short and can't jump over all larger rocks and logs on the trails we like to go on which makes the double buckle harness with a handle essential to aid him or all out haul him up and over. It is comfortable enough for him with the padding and placement of the straps that he doesn't mind at all. While Zeke is short, he is also stout so the belly strap was not long enough and I had to sew on an extension piece of webbing, not a problem for me as I have a sewing machine and lots of webbing, but others might find it more inconvenient to modify. I have been using Ruffwear products for about 20 years and just love the quality and durability.Melisa H.

I really liked this when I first fitted it on my cairn terrier. I had it snug around his tummy and the front velcro was secure. On our first outing he took off after a bunny and the velcro just busted open and he came right out of the harness. I'm lucky he ran into some bushes and not into traffic. Im afraid to use it again and will be seeking a refund from chewy.Nise

When our dog outgrew here last harness, I wanted something that was durable and had the ability to add patches as she is still in training and has social anxiety. We love to hike, but was discouraged by most of the harnesses we purchased in the past as they would just slide around and my dog didn't like using them. This harness however, my dog actually gets excited to wear… likely because its comfortable and it means we are out on another adventure. Our puppy is slightly leash reactive so we loved the ability to add “ask to pet” and “in training” patches when we’re working with him. We purchased this item to use to help get our big 55lb Aussie down into our storm cellar during tornado warnings and BOY DID WE ALREADY NEED IT. We are safe, and so is our furry friend!! The steps of our tornado shelter are very steep and behind a tall metal guard frame, so even and our spry 1.5 year old cannot maneuver them. This harness is a life saver, literally. Ruffwear's Double Back Harness is perfect. We are very satisfied with the purchase. Our pet Yuba is a 30kg Grand Griffon Vendeen, with a thorax perimeter of 79cm, and we chose the L-XL size. It suits him perfectly. We use it for walks, hiking, but also to raise him up in everyday situations such as stairs, car, etc …, because due to his age and mobility problems he has hip difficulties. It is a great help and does what it's meant for. It is well balanced and distributes stress evenly. Without a doubt, the quality of a Ruffwear product is unmatched by any other brand. This harness is working great for us. I got it for my dog with some *mild* mobility issues. I read all of the reviews prior to purchasing and RuffWear is very clear that this is not made for older dogs with mobility issues and I knew that going into it, therefore knew what to expect and for my dogs abilities, it is perfect for us. My dog is fully capable getting around, getting up from laying and walking without assistance. I simply needed a harness that had a small handle on the **** area to guide him up the stairs. He can get up the stairs on his own and mostly does not need my assistance with the **** handle, I merely hold the handle to lessen the chance of injury in case he slips on the stairs. So if he slips, I've got the handle and he doesn't fall to the ground and down the stairs. And for that, it works perfect. Putting it on is easy (like i said, he can stand just fine). It doesn't have easy snap in buckles due to the harness' original purpose, which I was aware of and I don't mind threading the straps each time. It takes less than an minute and the harness is worth it. I opted for this rather than a harness intended for mobility issues because my dog's needs are minimal and the ones from other brands are a bit much considering my dog doesn't need help walking or rising. I do wish it had a traditional hook for a leash. I had to get a carabiner to attach a leash to the harness. I realize it's intended use and it has spots to attach rope, but even if we were using it for it's intended use, I would imagine there are still moments where some people may use a leash?? Maybe not, anyhow the carabiner worked, just an extra step initially. As for sizing, I got Medium. My dog is a 62lb lab mix. His measurements were just at the cusp of med-large, but more toward medium so thats what I went with. It mostly fits well. There is one single strap that is a bit short and doesn't go any longer than I have it. It's the strap that goes from the underside chest pad to the neck straps. I can make the neck straps longer but it doesnt really make a difference. If that one strap was just a bit longer I think it would be perfect. I think my dog is comfortable with harness for the time he wears it (two walks a day) but if I were to leave it on him all day, it would be tight around that area. The rest of the harness fits perfect so i would imagine the large would be been a bit too big for him. Considering I take it off between walks, that minor sizing issue isn't a deal breaker for us. If he wore the harness for hours at a time (or for it's intended use) then I think it would pose a comfort issue. So just consider that if your dog is also on the cusp of sizing.Taylor C.

Like most Bostons, she has a bigger chest measurement compared to the rest of her body measurements. But it was just too big. So we returned it which was free and super easy!Their customer service is amazing:) The medium was perfect! It’s lightweight and super nice quality. I have two pugs and their sizing for harnesses can be more difficult due to the way they are built body wise. I have a female about 20-25 lbs and a male 30-34 lbs . The female size I picked was L and works and the male was XL. The harnesses are gorgeous ( I bought 6-3 for each dog) and fit well due to the ability to adjust . They are very well made and better to hand wash and line dry or was on a gentle cycle to prolong their quality and of course style!! These are very unique, trendy, and fashionable . The sea shell one for my female is beautiful…. Saving for warmer weather and the pirate for my male in summer time . I will definitely buy again when needed and give a 10 star review!!! They also follow up and sent me a personal thank you post card – which is so rare these days do the customer service is top notch as well as products . Thank you !Tiffany C.

After trying many harnesses this is by far the best quality. Our dog is scared of over the head harnesses so this is perfect for her and has a lock function so the clasps don't come undone. Very safe and secure. The personalisation of our pups name is wonderful quality and has her admirers knowing her name as we are out and about. We live the harness so much.Jessica K.

Seems like good construction. I liked the pads on top to prevent pinching, but overall, it is still the same standard harness you can get everywhere. Unfortunately, I am still on the hunt for a good harness to use for running with my dog. The harness rubbed under his armpits and rubbed them raw. The look of the harness is great however the material cannot stand up to chewing which is not covered under warranty. I bought one yesterday and this morning I left to get breakfast and when I got back 20 minutes later he had chewed through one of the straps and had taken a chuck out of the nylon canvas chest piece. Very disappointed in the product and was hoping it was made better and would hold up for years like their jackets have.Brady

Rugged ,tough , durable harness . Works like it should . It takes a little time to get a proper adjustment , unless your dog is growing it's a one time thing . We like it better than other harnesses we have . I find it laughable that people would give a poor review because their dog chewed on it . That's on the owner and their poor dog . I purchased the small no pull harness for my 10 lb havanese. She is narrow in the chest, but I was able to adjust to fit her. Make sure you measure. I will say it was a pleasant walk with way less pulling. I purchased a no pull harness from another brand and it was so unpleasant due to the pulling. This will be my third purchase for my four year old 12 lb Schnauzer. She loves wearing the harness. Whenever we take it off her she trys to put it back on. The material is soft and easy to wash. I like the reflective tape since she is all black it reflects under the moon light not just when a car passes.Bella
