Hello, this is a leather collar that is constructed of 1 1/2'' inch wide vegetable tanned cowhide that i hand cut and has been hand dyed black, it can also be made in other colors just let me know what color, and has brass lion head center piece and brass embellishments and black stitching, has steal roller buckle with a welded d ring. i make custom hand made crafted leather dog collars, harnesses and leads like no other. all are made out of top quality hand selected leather and hardware that is made to last. my collars are made to look vintage and old school, hand stitched, hand cut and tooled. my collars make your dog look like royalty at a low price compared to others on the market. these are truly a eye catching, head turning collar. please make sure to include your dogs neck size in inches when you place your order and i will make it with adjustable holes. you can take a string and wrap around your dogs neck snuggly and then measure the sting with a tape to get your dogs neck size. do not measure your old collar from the end of the buckle to the end tonge of the old collar, that is not how you measure your dogs neck size, our collars will have 5 holes for adjustment, so the neck size you give me will be the second hole from the buckle then one hole size smaller, and then 3 holes sized bigger than your dogs neck size totalling 5 adjustable holes. the leather we use is made from premium vegetable tanned leather, a natural tanning process involving natural materials to imbue the leather with a firm feel. it makes leather products hard and sturdy. vegetable tanned leather has the amazing quality where it will take in colors, feeling, scratches, and shine to become an extremely personal product with a lot of character. each skin of leather can vary greatly due to the thickness of the skin, the scars and hair follicles that are a natural part of each hide. your piece can vary from what you see in the listing. scratches, different tones, and different shades of our basic colors show up on each hide that we get. we believe it makes each piece unique and special. leather absorbs the dye at different rates in different parts of the skin, giving the leather a variation in color. so, the products will all be similar but with slight variances in shade. the leather is finished with a water-resistant varnish, it is not waterproof! water itself is not harmful to leather however, constant soakings in water, floats the oils out of the leather through the pores, causing leather to become stiff when dry if not treated and may case some discoloration. please, do not immerse your leather in water for any length of time.
