Reviews:
I have an 11 pound puppy that was just spayed. So I purchased this to keep her from licking her incision site as she was able to get out of her ecollar and chew it up. What I liked about this pro collar is that her view wasn't obstructed and that she wasn't running in to my walls, furniture etc. she also seemed to be more comfortable in it. What is unfortunate is that she was still able to reach her incision site to lick if she really tried. I can really see this product working on a larger dog that has longer distance between their mouth and site of incision as not only would I need a larger pro collar and the dog would have to really bend farther to reach the incision. This is why I gave it three stars and not a 1 star. I don't see it working in situations where incisions are on limbs and such. So for instance, if my long 80 pound lab needed to have surgery on his belly or torso area I would purchase this again because he will have a longer distance to reach than my tiny flexible puppy. Hope this helps!Mommyof2labsandminiaussie
I have this collar. I used it last year when one of my girls had a lump removed from her chest. It was so much more comfortable for her to sleep in that a cone. She was able to see, eat, drink and do pretty much anything while wearing it. I just pulled it out again because my other girl had a cancer lump removed from her armpit area. I have Dachshunds so no cone stops them from licking if they have an injury lower than their midsection. But this worked wonders for both when the injury was on the chest and waist area. Some tips.. 1. It does require a collar to be attached to the inside loops to keep it securely on your dog. You can't just Velcro it on their neck or your dog will probably find a way to take it off pretty quickly. Also, make sure the ends of the tube are touching when you Velcro it or your dog can get around it to chew. 2. Make sure it id inflated enough. If it is not, your dog will get it off. 3. If your dog has an injury that is lower than waist area, it may not be enough to keep them from reaching that area.lilys mama
I've now purchased this twice for my cat when she had minor surgery and it has been a complete godsend. My cat was so stressed out with the cone because it significantly impaired visibility and didn't allow use of her whiskers. She was constantly stressed and trying to hide in the darkest, tiniest, craziest spaces, and would get stuck with the cone and unable to get out or move. Poor kitty. 🙁 She has a history of being bullied by other animals she lived with before we rescued her, and while she is usually very comfortable in our home, she was so scared and stressed from being unable to assess her surroundings and move around freely. Before we knew about the collar we tried a soft cone (didn't help) and two kinds of bandages (didn't stop her from picking at the wound anyway). Then we found ProCollar (the 2nd one we bought is called ZenCollar but it looks/functions the same) and it was such a lifesaver! Once we put this on her, she became almost instantly more relaxed and back to the sweet and loving cat we knew. I am so thankful somebody thought of this idea and made it!!! The idea of my poor cat being stressed out for two weeks (while probably in pain and not feeling good during recovery) made me so sad. I have not had any issues with leaks as others had, but if I did, I would just go buy more, it is that great of a product. My cat had sutures in two places (from two different procedures a year apart) – on her front leg and near her butt – and she wasn't able to reach either place with the ProCollar. THANK YOU FOR MAKING AND CARRYING THIS GREAT PRODUCT!!!Mads34

Reviews:
I just ordered another Large-Extra Large Caring Collar with Calming Disk from Pet Guys, my second Caring Collar for my 8-month German Shepherd to protect her surgery (spay) yesterday. The first collar, I used for my 2-year-4-month-old German Shepherd was when she was spayed at 10 months old. GSDs are usually very strong dogs that tend to struggle with anything put around their necks or mouths. But Caring Collar makes it easier and diminishes such struggle when putting the Caring Collar on and off around the dog's neck, unlike the plastic e-collar, which to me was so difficult and a great struggle. When I used the plastic e-collar on my first GSD at 10 months old, she banged the e-collar against her crate, managed to partially get it off and chewed it. It took a lot of sweat and difficult time for me to mend it and put it back on her neck. So, I had to go back to the pet shop to buy a new one, until I saw Caring Collar. I bought it; it was a life saver for me. Thanks to Caring Collar.Violeta
My dog recently had surgery on his paw and he unfortunately kept licking his surgery spot. We went to Petsmart to look at cones and they had the plastic ones that looked so uncomfortable and this. This was pretty pricey but opted to go with it for the comfort etc. Although he hated it it served its purpose! He could still lay down, eat and drink with it on. The only bad thing is its still bulky so he cleared off under the coffee table but it was ok. I do recommend this product! 🐶angela.s
4. The Comfy Cone Pet Recovery Collar By All Four Paws, Medium Extra-Long, Tan.
Product Details:
The comfy cone is a soft, cone-shaped e-collar that helps your pets recover from surgeries, procedures, allergies and hot spots in comfort. at all four paws, weve designed the comfy cone with innovative and practical features that will help your pet recover and heal post-procedure or during allergy flare-ups. all comfy cones are made with foam-backed, padded nylon that is easy to clean and is water-resistant and repellent. the tight gauge of the nylon even prevents cats from getting their claws into the material! the comfy cone uses velcro for tight closures, making it easy to get the cone on and off animals quickly. and the cone can be reversed inside and out, as well as front to back to support shoulder and upper back injuries. the comfy cone comes with three sizing strips that let you adjust the size of the cone for a secure fit. along with the sizing strips, each cone comes with removable plastic stays that let you determine how structured the cone should be for your pet. remove the stays for a more flexible cone and keep them in for firmer structure, like when a pet has had eye surgery. once the stays are removed, the comfy cone can even be folded back for added freedom while eating and drinking or when checking wounds and irritations. all comfy cones have a reflective edge for safety and elastic loops at the neck to thread your pets collar through. its perfect to use during recovery as well as during playtime at home or at the park!

Reviews:
The extra large cone was just exactly the right size for our oversized (tall, but thin) yellow lab. The cone was a vast improvement over the hard plastic one provided by our vet. Our dog's regular collar fit through the elastic loops, and he was clearly much more comfortable with this softer material as were we when he ran into us. Wish I had purchased it sooner.Annapolis Puppy
This cone lives up to it’s namesake! The padding is substantial to provide necessary comfort and the fabric felt thick and durable. The fabric appeared to be something that should clean easily. However, I did return this item as it does have a black interior, and my puppy could not transition from a bright clear cone to the dark cone.LatteNonna
Excellent cone. She is much happier with it on than when wearing the plastic cone from the vet. We are happier too, as it is more flexible, so she doesn't knock things over so much, and she can still cuddle up with us on the sofa. Only issue (which I think would be the same with the plastic cone) is that she has learnt to be able to chew the dressings on her paws even when wearing the cone. She excels in removing them! Nonetheless, the cone is worth having, as it does reduce the frequency of having to put new ones on.Clare R.

Reviews:
My dog had surgery on his paw and has to wear a cone for 7 days. The one from the vet had plastic loops to connect to the collar. He has had a very difficult time getting comfortable and seeing around since the plastic wasn't really clear. I saw this online and bought it to see if it would help. I don't think any cone would be ideal but I have to say that this works out a lot better than the other cone. It took him a moment to get used to the fabric parts and ran into some items during that time. I don't love that it doesn't keep a round shape and just falls on his head while lying down, however, it's flexible fit allows for more movement when he lays next to an object, or me. I think it fits comfortably around the neck. He seems much more comfortable and able to fall asleep without without struggling to get adjusted. I am overall happy that I bought it. I think it was overpriced but in these situations I would pay a lot for his comfort.Hurley0902
I bought two of these products this week for my dog who’s neck is about 18inches. The company’s site recommends to size up if your pet is between sizes which he is between L/XL… this may not be the best option for all. In the size Large my dog had the right fit to see and function normally BUT he could still lick his leg, which was the whole reason for the cone. With the size XL it just barely velcros around his neck and he can’t do much because the top of the cone flops into his eyes constantly. This is still the best option over a traditional cone which is why this got a 3 and not a 1/5. The other issue I have with it is that it should have snaps instead of Velcro. Our dog isn’t particularly sensitive to sounds but the Velcro is right next to his ears and he’s terrified of it. I’d love a better version of this maybe a large that extends a little past 18 inches or maybe even a size L/XL. Honestly I would’ve returned the product if he didn’t get hair all over the velcro on both of them. Maybe if your pet is between sizes shop around for something else.DogParent25
I bought this when my sons husky got spayed at age 2. She didn’t like the plastic one we got from the vet and was bumping into everyone and it’s so jolting because they are hard plastic. This Zen one worked perfectly for her! She was much more comfortable and when she bumped into things it has some give. She could see out the clear windows which was nice too. She has a long nose and still was not able to reach her incision. My other sons dog (cattle dog mix) had an issue with his skin around the same time and got a bad hot spot so he needed to wear a cone for awhile. While he didn’t like any cones he did better with the plastic one from The vet because he didn’t like that this flopped on his face when he laid down. Recently my sons other husky needed one for an injury to her leg that required staples. She tolerated this cone very well and did not like the plastic one. So overall I say it’s worth a shot. I personally love this one, it’s easy to wash, easy to put on and take off you just weave their own collar through the straps and close it up with the Velcro. Just an FYI the round donut looking collar doesn’t work. We tried that as well and the husky was able to reach her incision so if you’re debating on that type or this one, definitely go with this one.Trish505

Arrived on time, i have a yellow lab and i bought the collar for her to prevent her from licking her abdomen wound. the black buttons came off too easy and many times, the holes became bigger that the black tabs wont fit on them and i could not make the collar tighter for her in order to use the other holes. So for me, it was a waste and i could not use it the way i wanted.asha1325

I've put this shoe through 50 miles at this point, mainly on long runs over 10 miles. It is a great ride, with enough space in the toe box for those longer runs. The midsole foam does an excellent job at providing cushioning but remains responsive so that even at the end of a long run my feet feel in good shape. I also have a pair of Hoka Mach 4's, and in my personal opinion, I enjoy the Novablast 2's more and feel that they are the more comfortable shoe overall, and especially for longer runs. Definitely recommend this shoe!Stone Z
Overall this is a comfortable daily trainer with decent energy return that allows for quicker than usual pace with similar perceived effort. Pros: very comfortable upper, great midsole padding, good traction, and overall durability seems superior to most Hoka’s I’ve bought Cons: Not crazy exciting (not boring necessarily) but doesn’t feel like anything special underfoot. The big problem that made me give it 4 stars is it rolls my foot inward. I’ve been a neutral runner for 20 years. I’ve never seen my foot so this but I can see and feel my foot roll inward, especially when walking a cool down. My knees have hurt after 6-8 mile runs when they didn’t in the gliderides or Mach 4s. Just kind of oddHoosier Clydesdale
It's a pretty good shoe. Fairly comfortable, removed the stitching on the tongue from the first model that pressed into your skin, which is great. They're also more stable than the prior ones with more cushioning, especially in the front where the last ones fell short. My only complaint is that the hard coating over the end or the shoe goes up so far, not talking about the rubber. It causes my toe to hit it and will likely give me callouses like the last one did, especially on the downhills. Something should be done about it, but you'll have to research more. Still way better than the pegasus about it (wouldn't buy those again). Also, the blue is very bright, it would be better if it was a bolder tourquoise but all these color choices are booty. They're either dad shoes or almost feminine looking, please get some help on that.Christophe

This really is a tremendously different product. 127 settings seemed overwhelming to me. As I use this more and more as I train my dog, I’m able to see what that really means. In the past, collars I’ve used only had a few settings, so moving up or down a notch so to say was a dramatic difference, while the dogtra allows me to fine tune the stim very minimally until I find my dogs “number” for the variety of situations. I feel this is really helping the bond with my dog and therefore training is improved.MountainGSD
I bought the Dogtra 280C to use with my very active and agile 1 year old Toy Austrailian Sheppard for stopping unwanted behaviors like digging up my lawn and attacking the cat. The transmitter and receiver both hold charges for days, and easily sync by just holding the two units next to one another at the red dots for a second. The 1/2 mile range is more than enough to reach out and touch her for a friendly reminder to come in for supper. The LCD screen is super nice to see stimulation level at night or when I don't have my glasses with me. My girlfriend owns my dogs twin brother, he also needed corrective training, therefor being as pleased as I am with the performance of my Dogtra 280C, I couldn't help but buy one for her to use with him as well.Red Dogg 47
I was scared of e-collars. But this morning we had the most excellent training session with my huge puppy. He gets to run and play and explore and his recall was PERFECT for the first time thanks to the collar! We're early in the training, but I am SUPER impressed so far. Just amazing.dferret

This is perfect for those who don't receive one of those plastic ones and your pets vet. Although these are a lot more sturdy ofcourse, last longer and are durable. My cat got one of these at the vet due to someone else messing up her surgery and she would never get better due to licking so I purchased one and she healed quickly. So I highly recommend this to a friend.lucecita.s
These are our preferred collars when our dog is struggling with a hotspot. We like the trim on the edge, and the option for colours. However know that the range of sizes skews small. We bought two that corresponded to neck size, but the cone depth is insufficient. You need a cone depth that exceeds the end of your dog’s snout. For our smaller dog (cotton de tulear) we actually need an XL to prevent her from worrying a hotspot on her tail.Carolyn S.

The quality of this collar seems pretty good. I bought the Medium size for my 55 lb Boxer/Lab mix. It fits him well, and it seems plenty strong enough. He has been wearing it for a couple weeks now, and I have no complaints. I would recommend this collar to a friend, especially if it is a strong dog. The main reason I bought this collar was for the aluminum clasp because he broke a couple plastic ones. The name embroidery looks good, too! (See photo.)dcspo
Too short. Fits my dog but not for long. He's a 7 month old lab and it came maxed out and I only had @1/2"-1" of adjustment for him. Problem is that it's supposed to go to 18" and I don't think it does. He is currently at 16". Need a collar that spans that change better. 12"-18", then it's 18"-24". Please consider making one that's 16"-22" especially if it's going to bear his name . I also thought it would be wider. But, as far as construction, it's a nice collar and the name was spelled correctly and he seems to like it. Time will tell.Tbeaux
I had to purchase this twice because of sizing. I couldn't find a reference or a length, so I had to guess that my 100 lb Doberman would take an XL. Wrong! It was HUGE. So, I purchased a L and it fits. Great quality and the embroidery is great. It's nice not to have a charm/tag that clinks all the time – we just put our # on the collar by his name and that's that.Bon B

I used these to keep my cats from licking off a bath treatment. It stained their necks, even after a second bath (without using the color again), they are still stained. The neck sizes are off. One of my cats could have easily used a medium, but I ordered 2 small and 1 x-small. I couldn't keep the smalls on any of my cats. It's nice that it's pliable, but it's all bent up after being washed, and it's awkward for the cats. I normally use coffee filters, the lg basket kind, about 8-10 with a hole cut in the middle…I'll go back to those.Toobad

Bought this 825x collar about a month ago. Not happy with the distance i get. Not happy the cover on the charging port on the controler broke off. I put this thing in my hand and get nothing on #2 but on #3 it will let you know u dont want # 4. Am i happy with it ? NOT REALLY. WILL i live with it ? Yes till it shuts down. I think the Company should address it. It is made very well except items i mentioned. I may have gotten a faulty one but i can live with it.Oemmm77
I bought this a month ago and so far it's amazing. I started off with a cheaper one I bought online and my stubborn dog would barely flinch, even on the highest setting. With this set at 2 I get a reaction from her. Most of the time the tone or vibrate is enough to get her attention and she'll stop whatever it is I don't want her doing. I highly recommend this over the cheaper online ones.Oakraidia
Sportdog training collars have changed our lives. We have used them on our recently deceased Great Dane, our 4 year-old Walker Hound, 4 month old Bloodhound & 5 month old Great Dane puppy. We have used an older 100 yard collar a 425X & are waiting for the 825X to come in the mail. Not only do the sportdog collars work for "recall" they work for other basic commands like "NO", "drop-it" "settle". We always train our dogs on voice and hand commands as much as possible before using the collars. It certainly helps when our puppies are trying to chase or attack some yard rabbits, chickens ducks or goats. I do find if you are using the collar the battery life is only about a 2-4 hrs of working time. I wish they could have an external battery pack of some degree or another to help on exciting days. Price for product is on point. The only thing I wish sportdog would do, is come out with a cat sized collar. My Bengal is a nutbar, like they all are, and has a taste for killing. It sure would be nice to have one for him when he is slaying yard rabbits or trying to take down ducks in the pond to give him a little zap to help save lives. Sportdog says because they are geared towards hunting they do not see in the future them creating one for cats, but if they do I will buy 2.FarmGirl2013

Ever since we got our dog, I dread going to parties at my parents' house. She would bark and growl at EVERYONE who came near us. She has separation anxiety, so putting her in her kennel in another room would cause her to howl and yelp. We have been working on her separation anxiety, but we thought we would give this a try at a Super Bowl party to see if it would make any difference. IT DID. We slid the disk on her collar in the morning (which doesn't smell too bad, it's a bit like a lavender-scented candle) and showed up to the party in the afternoon. Although our dog still barked a few times (because she is still a dog), friends and family could talk to us and even pet her without her growling or snapping. I am VERY happy with this product and will continue to use it. For now, it's in a Ziploc bag until it's needed again! It may become a supplement in her separation anxiety training, but we'll see.A.
