So I absolutely love this collar – it has been great for my dog in that is doesn't rub or cause any issues for him. However, the sizing is a bit tough for me. I originally bought the collar in an XL and exchanged it for a L, but between the last two holes (making it the largest possible) I wish there was one more in the middle because the last hole is too loose on him when we are walking, but then the second to last is too tight when he is laying down/relaxed. Other than that, this is absolutely perfect!
The first thing I noticed when I unboxed this collar was how soft and supple the material is—perfect for snuggling and probably very comfortable for my pup! It seems well-made and is definitely well-designed, love the little touch of the "W" mark on the end. The color is CRAZY bright, almost dayglo, and looks great on my brown brindle pittie, it would really stand out on a black dog too. My single caveat with this collar is that it is too soft and flexible to restrain my dog securely, so we just use it to hold his ID tags (we always use a harness on walks anyway). I'd definitely recommend the collar and will probably end up buying some other colors to accessorize!Sam S.
Anyone that have dogs know that they chew on anything. But this Wild One collar is definitely not designed for dogs. Within 2 days, my dog has chewed it up. My other nylon collars were also chewed by my dog but it usually takes months for it to show the severity of damage. The material also feels cheap. Like generic iPhone cases you can find anywhere. Very subpar. Their customer support was also somewhat useless. Basically they say this is part of wear and tear. I understand wear and tear but 2 days? For the original price they are charging, I would had expected a few weeks. They even offered 20% off a new item. Another chew toy? LOL. I didn’t want a replacement. Just a better response. I just ordered another Large-Extra Large Caring Collar with Calming Disk from Pet Guys, my second Caring Collar for my 8-month German Shepherd to protect her surgery (spay) yesterday. The first collar, I used for my 2-year-4-month-old German Shepherd was when she was spayed at 10 months old. GSDs are usually very strong dogs that tend to struggle with anything put around their necks or mouths. But Caring Collar makes it easier and diminishes such struggle when putting the Caring Collar on and off around the dog's neck, unlike the plastic e-collar, which to me was so difficult and a great struggle. When I used the plastic e-collar on my first GSD at 10 months old, she banged the e-collar against her crate, managed to partially get it off and chewed it. It took a lot of sweat and difficult time for me to mend it and put it back on her neck. So, I had to go back to the pet shop to buy a new one, until I saw Caring Collar. My dog recently had surgery on his paw and he unfortunately kept licking his surgery spot. We went to Petsmart to look at cones and they had the plastic ones that looked so uncomfortable and this. This was pretty pricey but opted to go with it for the comfort etc. Although he hated it it served its purpose! He could still lay down, eat and drink with it on. I used these to keep my cats from licking off a bath treatment. It stained their necks, even after a second bath (without using the color again), they are still stained. The neck sizes are off. One of my cats could have easily used a medium, but I ordered 2 small and 1 x-small. Love this collar. It is super durable and seems to be comfortable for my French Bulldog. He wears a medium. I love how there is a separate D ring for all his tags because it’s generally really hard to get those on and off when switching collars. This is the only collar I will by for my boxer. It doesn’t loosen up any when she scratches or just from every day wear. And it’s durable and lasts I never have to worry about it wearing out or that clasp randomly breaking. Definitely spend the extra money for one of these! I have two furr babies! One is a german shepard/great dane and the other is a lab mix. We always had problems with collars because my dogs would chew right threw them, that is until we found Kongs! My dogs never try to fight these now and they have 2 each! I would recommend to every owner because this collar is AMAZING!brandy.m

We replaced the plastic cone that the vet had put our beagle in. Cheaply made, simple cheap velcro strap to hold this on and dog was able to chew the strap off in 2 mins on day 1. Then we still had a secondary collar hod it on but day 2 had him easily bite and deflate the Kong. We have 4 Kong rubber toys and they are great…but Kong failed on this protective collar and they should remove their name from it.ibwarheader
I don't normally write reviews, but I was pretty disappointed in this product. I bought this hoping it would be more comfortable long term for my chihuahua /beagle mix with a hot spot on his foot. I put this on him and less than 5 minutes he easily kicked it off with his hind feet. I tried twice more tightening it as much as possible and he just became more efficient at it. Granted he is on the fat side and his head is small making it easier to remove, I still think any dog would be able to remove it just as easily. Overall quality is good and the idea is nice, but the cheaper plastic e-collar might be an old stand by for a reason.deruch12
