Halo 2 Plus Dog Collar For Sale (2024 Update)

My dog is a Cav King Charles Spaniel. I ended up getting a large collar which was way too big. I ended up giving it to my sister and it looks great on her dog and she loves it. I can't afford to get another so didn't have one for my dog. I can't believe I ordered that size but I don't have my original order form. It is a nice looking collar and is made well.Deborah

I purchased the Halo Brand Dog Collars. I have Great Danes and not only are these collars big enough, they are strong and durable leather. The quality is outstanding and I can't wait until the summer/all season collars are available. I will be buying more.Leigh

Great collar! Size guide was perfect. The medium fits my slender build doberman well. Leather is soft and stitching is holding up after a couple of weeks so I am happy! The colors are a nice touch (I got the blue) and make a lovely contrast on her feminine black neck. I would definitely buy it again and may buy a spare!Crystal

I had purchased a halo collar before and was so impressed with the quality that I knew I needed to go with this company again. Also my dog really shouldn't be wearing snowflakes all year. I have had my wireless system for 10 yrs, best money I've ever invested. My 85 lb Australian shepherd mix has total respect when set at #4. She will not leave the yard and has all the room to run she needs. And she is a runner. When the transmitter cord went out (after probly 5 or 6 yrs) they sent me free replacement in like 2 days. I am a member of Staffordshire Search and Rescue team, and will shortly be training to qualify as a party leader. I purchased two of these lights to become part of my personal kit – a red one to replace the rechargeable red light I have worn on the back of my rucksack during night searches, and a green one as I’ve quickly realised I can colour-code the navigator in a party I’m leading. The Nav normally is a bit of a way ahead of the rest of the party and this light makes it incredibly easy to see where they are. Both lamps are bright, with a very pleasing flash rate, and the ability to flip the battery to gain a solid light is a mark of genius, Whoever designed these should be very proud! Simple to operate, easy to deploy and very lightweight – with what appears to be very long battery life to boot. I love them, and will be buying a couple more in the near future.James G

Nice little lights, I attach the carabiner version to the deck lines at each end of my sea kayak. I obviously can't turn them on myself whilst paddling but my buddy can easily do so. I was a little worried they might not be bright enough but buddies say they are very visible at distance. Great for increasing my visibility if we lose light whilst on the water. My 75 lb boxer is on the adjunct staff of my cardiologist. His job is to walk me, hard, every day, 30-45 min. I have osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis as well as heart issues. When I used the training collar for the first time, it was like magic. Those plastic teeth work perfectly. Before, the dog usually behaved, but a nearby squirrel, or another dog, could be too much temptation to pull. Now, the gentlest tug and the usual "Leave it" command keep us walking like pros. I have little trouble disconnecting the links, but really, folks, surely you can add large tips to the cord ends instead of permanently joining them to a ring: one tip is the leash loop and male connector; the other is the female connector and release button. How hard is that? Connected, the collar fits with proper snugness after the owner adds or removes links. Disconnected, the collar opens so far it will slip over the dog's head and ears with ease. No more complaints from owners of impatient, wiggly dogs. Sure, this would add a dollar or five to the price. Big deal. Ease of use would be worth it. I have a 100 pound dog and it pulled so bad that nobody in the house could walk it except for me. And it was a struggle even for me. I had to keep an eye on her at all times because is she took out after a squirrel or something and I wasnt prepared, she would either break free or throw my shoulder out. I did some research and came across this collar and it had some good reviews, so I got one. My dog stopped pulling INSTANTLY!!! No joke!! She was like, What the heck???, and has never pulled since! Shell sort of pull, but nothing at all like before. Now my 90 pound 10 year old walks her easily. This collar worked so good, I got another one for my much smaller Australian Shepard, and now she dont pull anymore either. The collar seems well made and its easy to adjust. I think Ill eventually wear them out, but as soon as I notice wear, Im getting replacements. Best 20 dollars I ever spent!johnofthecosmos

This was a game changer for our dog. Several very bad behaviors/habits were corrected within a week of getting this collar. Obviously your results will depend on your dog and how you use this, but this was an invaluable tool for training our dog. Some details: 1) We find that the charge lasts a couple of days (we take it off and turn it off at night when the dog is sleeping). 2) Range is at least a few hundred yards. Never have tested out to the advertised 400 yd range. 3) The vibrate feature is very helpful (and pretty much the only thing we have had to use since the initial training). 4) The "Nick" shock feature is a great attention getter for the dog. 5) The range of shock levels provides everything from you can hardly notice it to pretty intense.In PDX

I purchased this and trained my dog Neko with it with a professional trainer a few months ago. This device was a lifesaver. Neko is a Shiba inu and they are extremely high energy, love to run and are very intelligent and curious. Neko escaped my fenced yard 4 times by digging, and I have heard that some Shibas can jump and scale fences up to 8ft. So I defitly needed something. I’ve tested this on myself and the “shock” is not so bad if you stay below 20 it just allows the dog to “hear” you in stressful or loud/distracting situations, and it lets them connect the command with the action without you chasing them or forcing them into it. I associate the commands sit, stay, Come, place, free, off and heel with the unit and now she is such an amazing dog, and I don’t have to worry!!eri.v

This is a great product. We have done a lot of training for our dogs and swear by the e collar. The double set is perfect if you have two dogs as you only need one remote. There are different settings so they can be on different levels at the same time.lindsay.s

We like to walk our dogs off leash when possible, so these collars are great for controlling both dogs with one remote. It took some getting used to how to adjust the stimulation levels for each dog, and we found that just leaving the stimulation unlocked and adjusting manually is the easiest (rather than using the pre-set levels).Joshua M.

Great working product and brand and I'd highly recommend it. My only gripe is that the device is hyper sensitive and warns in storage places. This to me screams that it's an interference issue. Otherwise great.erinjodie

I really liked the quality of this training system. Over all the Pro system works as described. However, the collar attached to this system is longer than needed and shortening the strap is questionable given the contact wire that runs through the strap. Also, the strap would be more beneficial to be a snap locking system rather than a buckle. As my dog recognizes the purpose of the collar, she is not a fan, and likes to put up some resistance when having it placed on her. Given a snap system would take seconds to secure rather than a wrestling match.Runningguard

I did a lot of research on ecollars before deciding to purchase this one. I got this for a dog that is a rescue who has had some major behavior issues. I use the collar for training and he is excelling at everything. The only thing I would caution would not be specific to this ecollar but to all ecollars. Watch the fit. The band stretches after it's worn a few times and needs to be tightened on the dog's neck. Be sure to start out at the lowest level and only go up in slight increments until your dog reacts to the zap. This will prevent you from using more power than needed. I have three dogs and will be purchasing additional collars for my other two dogs. All three can work from this one remote. Switching from dog to dog is done by simply turning a dial.justjen

I’m very satisfied with the R.A.P.T. 1400, the remote is very user friendly and I’m so happy to have a back of the hand setup. Battery life on the collar itself seems to be much improved over my previous models of collar. My one and only complaint is the collar itself is already starting to separate layers, fraying at the feed point and I’ve had to trim and tape twice in less than a month of use (my other collars took years for this to happen). Training is quite enjoyable with the ergonomics of the remote and the programmable quick button is definitely a nice touch. Deserves a 5 star review but can’t give it that because of the actual collar falling apartJames

I love this collar and company! The collar itself is very durable and handles lots of play from my 70lb pit mix (she wears a Large but I adjust it down so it fits more snug). The different light modes are really nice, and we use it every day (especially handy in the winter when both morning and evening walks are in the dark!). Super easy to turn on & off, and to charge with the USB cord. It is NOT waterproof, but will tolerate rain and other water as long as it isn't submerged. When mine had an issue, I emailed the company and they sent a replacement within a week, free of charge. I can't recommend this collar enough!!Jessie Marie

I won this collar set (included add on collar) at a Pheasants Forever banquet in 2013 and have been using it ever since without any issues! I hunt my dogs 60+ days a year and have yet to have an issue with either the collars or transmitter other than needing to replace one of the collar straps due to being sprayed by a skunk! 🙂 Would highly recommend this set for anyone looking for the functionality and ease of controlling the beeper from the remote and seeking a reliable & quality built set.uhansen6

I have owned other brand collars with a beeper system but this one stands out. I got this one to try with my GWP and couldn't be happier. It's so simple to use which is what my wife's main complaint was about the other brand. You can change levels, change beeper modes all without having to take your eye off what your dog within just a few uses. The battery last forever it seems like. I have forgotten to charge it the night before a hunt and thought I would be in a bind but not with this one. I would recommend to anyone who uses a beeper. There are no one and off tones which I have had on my other collars which can cause confusion to your dog. The range is great as well.JFH

This is the past week with my Halo 2 collars- My dogs got 47 corrections in 17 minutes (July 2, 8:20 – 8:37pm) while inside the fence, in my truck with beacon 1, set to ignore fences. I had to take the collars off but they kept buzzing and beeping and whistling and freaked Buster out so bad he jumped out the window of the truck! Penny was crying by the time I got her collar off and doesn’t want to wear her collar after that. She looks like she’s being punished when it’s put on her now. We had 5 whole days without a malfunction before that night. Woohoo.
We have problems with the map showing one of the collar icons being down the road 1/4 mile from home and it stays stuck there for days. Obviously the collar is useless then because it wont stop giving corrections. Other times the collar icon gets stuck inside the fence, but still gives corrections. Sometimes the locations are just not accurate but not stuck, and gives corrections. Odin’s collar pauses corrections for a day or 2 at a time because of ‘poor gps signal’ according to the app. Sometimes the app doesn’t work right, like when my map was completely blacked out, or when I couldn’t see the collar icons or my tickets. The collars don’t always pick up the beacons either, or it takes a long time. I can’t just put the dogs in the car with my beacon and drive away. I have to take the collars off until I know if they are working right.
I can’t trust these collars to function correctly, because they don’t. You cant train a dog that constantly gets corrected for no reason!
And how could I possibly track my dogs if they ran away after dark, since the batteries would be dead already? The charge doesn’t even last all day-10 hours max. I didn’t even get the extra 2 free months of gold plan I was promised for all our troubles either.
I ordered my 3 collars April 10 and had to wait a couple weeks to get them all. Halo 2+ was released May 13, a few weeks later. I spent $2200 for these collars, and I’m not sure if the lemon law applies here, but for all these problems, I think I should be able to exchange these 3 collars for Halo 2+ collars. Maybe they work better. Maybe I wouldn’t feel as though my money was completely wasted on false claims.
This week’s events-
Sat night Penny got shocked coming inside for no reason. She is pretty much afraid to go anywhere ever since last week.
Thurs afternoon Buster and Odin followed me thru the fence to the mailbox. Odin was even on the road and neither got so much as a warning.
Today, Friday, I was supposed to have a one-on-one with support at 8:30am to look into some of these problems. Well, here I am on my day off work, waiting. Never got the email invitation, nothing in my tickets, just left sitting here like an idiot as usual wondering what to do next.
My dogs are very confused, as am I. They don’t trust their collars any more than I do. I’m turning off the vibrate and static feedback until these things act right, and hopefully the dogs behave if/until that happens. If I dont do this, they will never get back to where they were. I’m so frustrated. I am not a tech-tard, in fact I’m pretty good with electronic devices, so it’s not me, and it’s not my dogs. This has been a constant barrage of problems ever since we got these oversized pieces of junk 2+ months ago. And now that I’ve been messing around trying to get help, it’s too late to return them. Oh and they only post positive reviews on the website, I know because I have written and sent 2 now and neither is posted. Buyer beware.cycledeliclyndee

Everything about buying this product seemed more like a scam than a reputable company. They make it very easy to purchase but forget to mention until after purchase that shipping is 3-4 weeks. Only communication from the company was how to spend more money. After receiving the collar the setup was overly complex. First day using the collar it completely failed within the first couple hours, stating no satellite service. The collar failed to meet the basic functions a $40 shock collar could do. If you are a person hoping to buy this collar in hopes to give your dog more freedom with out direct supervision this is not going to work for you. have now had 2 generations of halo collars. The newest generation really fulfills the promise of having a collar that can be used at home or remote.
My collar now tracks accurately and feeds back quickly. really appreciate the fact that they are able to automatically update the collar "over air" to improve and add to the features of the collar while it charges.
i dont use the beacons much, never trained my dog with them because her original training was on the original collar but have tried them out and they seem to work as advertised.
Battery life is much better and will go the whole day, and the software updates seem to have improved efficiency. Hope the next gen is sleeker and gives us the opportunity to record our voice to use as feedback. Thanks Halo!.Daniel Silvershein

I have purchased this collar system two different times and I am extremely satisfied with the range and the claim of being waterproof. I lost a dog a while back and was resolved that someone had taken him and removed his tracking collar. He was found three months later, and he had unfortunately fell through the ice and downed near our house. It was a sad day when he was finally found in the water. He had on one of your collars on him still. He had been underwater for three months and I had already replaced his collar. I removed the collar from his neck and wondered if it was ruined. I took it home, put on a new collar and put it on my charger, and remarkably it took a charge and was working. I still use it as a back-up collar and to remember the loss of my best friend.
