*****Artist Bio*****

Sally "Squirreldumplings" is the artist who creates all the Squirreldumplings Dachshund characters.  She grew up surrounded by dogs, horses, and miscellaneous animals, so dogs were natural subjects for her to paint..

The east Tennessee mountains where she was born, are filled with folk artists.  She learned from watching the work of these artists, and she taught herself to capture the personalities of her subjects with a special folk-art warmth.

Sally creates her designs mainly on coffee-stained muslin, folk-art pillows. She markets them mainly on Ebay and as Note Cards on Ebay and at www.squirreldumplings.com.. She has had to lay aside her paints and brushes, however, since the birth of her active toddler.  Her daughter has allergies that demand she cook everything from scratch, and she has to stay always aware of the danger of Gracie coming into contact with even the slightest amount of the things to  which she is allergic.

Sally, her husband, and Gracie live on a mountain in east Tennessee, and she looks forward to the time when she will be able to begin to paint again.
